I just ordered the D7.Looking at all the reviews on this tool I don't think I went wrong.I have an old DiaGun but I think this tool will have alot more information.Good video.
You'd think with them tacking an iPad onto the dashboard of every car, they could add a screen to at least show you the diagnostic code and a brief explanation so people don't panic over something minor like an evap code.
I bought the xtool d7 I used it on two cars and have had nothing but trouble. The tool took so much from the battery that codes just popped up all over the place. One in garage not running. One car in the driveway not driveable.
There's enough energy in the average healthy car battery to power the D7 for about 4 days. Assuming the battery was good and fully charged, in order for the D7 to draw so much current that it triggers codes to pop the D7 would be so hot you couldn't hold it and it would likely melt. This could never happen because the power to the datalink connector is fused and the fuse would trip. How hot did the d7 get? How long did you have it plugged in?
D7 shows no fault codes and nothing pending, but my old code reader shows remaining EV monitor. Could be a problem depending on D7 thinking it OK going for smog test then won't pass. Is my D7 defective?
I broke the pigie bank and bought the D8 and learning how to used at this moment. Nice video by the way!
Nice machine. Let me know how you make out.
@@mrdiyguy123 So far it seems to be just like the D7 but larger screen and it has a video port for an inspection camera
I bought the A30M. It connects to your phone. Does almost everything the d7 does. I'm still testing it on as many cars as i can.

They probably hope they get scared and run to the dealership and fork over $$$ to tell them what Autozone will do for free.

Not the most coherent complaint. Users need to have some auto repair familiarity to use scantool effectively.
Dude just take your car to an actual mechanic for the love of god 😂
А есть видео сброс дроссельной заслонки и ее калибровка?

Why take a picture of the codes when the D7 can email you the DTC code report or even print it?
When out of range of wifi I sometimes take a pic for future reference
That loose gas cap could cost you $400 to fix at the mechanic.
