Does it have to be glitter - do you have plain white vinyl that does the same thing? For regular Sublijet HD Ink?
Very Impressive! I definitely have to use this for future references. Im about to get a sawgrass sg400 and was looking into the dark garnet methods, and I'm glad I'm came across this. Wow the skull image and the light bulb was awesome. Im now curios about how to sublimate the glitter before you press.
You can cut your glitter shape and lay it on a non-stick cover sheet (Teflon) and apply the sublimation directly to the glitter. Once cool, peel the design off the cover sheet and then oyu can apply to your garment at the recommended glitter settings.

if you allow a couple of ml bleed on your sublimated image you wont get that white line around your image and it will be a lot easier to line up your image as the sublimation ink will not show on a black top., alternatively you can sublimate the glitter vinyl before you heat press it to the top.

To make it "bleed" is just a term used to make your subli image slightly larger than the sister glitter paper, since subli inc is opaque the dark shirt will eat it up and it will be invisible so it wont be relevant and you will hit all white spots so you don't get white lines if you miss.

Ashley Long just tried it today. First thing I did with my sublimation printer. And it turned out amazing. Have to do some color corrections on my printer but ... wow. Just love it!

Is it possible for you to do a product run of the white glitter, but not add the glitter during the manufacturing part. Would that not leave a white, high temp HTV suitable for sublimation? Or is the glitter aspect what adds to the heat tolerance of the HTV?
We just announced at SGIA that we are launching a non-glitter sublimate product, that will actually be a LOW or HIGH tempurature sublimation process.

Hello John! you are correct, it does not typically print white, and we didn't print white here. White is considered the "negative space". Since we were sublimating on White Glitter, the white from the Glitter represents the white in the design.
What is the protective piece you are using to press with.. that looks pretty awesome? And can we buy this item?
The cover sheet is called a Heat Transfer Cover Sheet. Some people refer to it as a Teflon sheet.

What are the heat press settings?
For this process of Sublimation on Siser Glitter HTV- the heat press settings are 385°F for 45 seconds at a medium pressure.
Is it only glitter? If I was to do a shirt for a male can I use the regular white glitter or that isn’t possible? Just wondering can the regular vinyl do the same as glitter.

Monica, you can't sublimate on regular HTV, but check out our EasySubli material... it's a matte finish white material that can be sublimated and applied to cotton or dark garments.
Does this work with any color glitter? Like can I sublimate a dark color like Navy on top of gold glitter?
This process isnt recommended for dark colored Glitter, or any HTV. If you try to sublimate onto a dark color, your sublimation transfer isnt going to appear very clear.

Why is it when I sublimate on glitter it’s very faint, but if I sublimate on easy subli it’s vivid and bright. Why am I not getting the same/similar brightness and vividness on glitter?
You may have to raise your temperature on your heat press to 385°F and press for 45 seconds when sublimating onto Glitter.

Any LIGHT COLOR Siser Glitter will work. Once you start getting into the darker shades, the effect is diminished.

ok what is the settingfor cutting glitter siser
HTV, iron on vinyl. If you are cutting regular glitter vinyl, sometimes you have to use a deep cut blade. Depends on your machine, but this is my experience with the cricut.

When using Sublimation on Glitter glitter on a 100% cotton shirt. do you have to use the glitter vinyl.... I want to make a shirt for my husband and son and they don't want that glitter showing on their shirt.

I'm curios s if you can do this with the siser easy subli htv? I have a sawgrass and that's the paper I usually use. You don't mirror on this paper, so I'm confused as to if you can use it and if you would mirror or not.
With the EasySubli HTV, you dont need to do with process. You can print directly on that without mirroring.
This is the process to sublimate on our White Glitter HTV.
I Love this But My sublimation washes out when I use Glitter HTV.
It can sometimes be temperamental with sublimation on Glitter. This is purely an experimental process.

I'm not sure if anyone is still answering questions here or not.. but I was wondering, can you do this same process on wood?
Hey Shore Life! We certainly are still answering questions! You DEFINITELY can apply this process to wood. Most of our applications translate from garments to wood fairly easily, however it gets more complicated when you go from wood to garments.

Can you press the image onto the glitter prior to adhering it to the item?
Hi Alicia, unfortunately not. By pressing the image onto the Glitter you would activate the adhesive of the vinyl.

Bogdan Deme Absolutely. The sublimation ink dyes the glitter... it's not like a finish that sits on top of the glitter that can wash off.

greekgawdess If you try to sublimate on it, the high temperature basically melts the sublimation paper and the EasyWeed together. It's just not meant to be applied at a temperature that high.

The Siser site you list shows no match when searching for "neon glitter". Do you if Siser will bring it back or did you stop making it?
Craig, we have 7 different Neon Glitter colors. They are listed on www.siserna.com/heat-transfer-vinyl/glitter/ just hover over each color for the name. You can also find them easily on the Siser App.

Porterville93257 This is regular Siser Glitter. Each distributor sells the material how they want, some sheet it, some only sell rolls. I don't have information on which sheet it out.
Ive tried printing out photos onto heat transfer sheets, and heat pressing them onto wide Satin ribbon (which has turned out well), but I want a glitter effect ontop. If I heat press siser white glitter ontop of the satin, will it have the same effect as a sublimated design? ie will the print show through the white glitter? Thx! :)

+Lynda Hart That is the TS-One by Siser. I honestly don't think many of our distributors offer this press as it's easier to stock the standard red presses we carry.
Is their a reason why the sublimation designs were cut along the design?
Make it easier to match the design up with the glitter cut-out. Sublimation paper is not transparent, hard to line up design if not trimmed to actual size/shape.

How well does this wash?
Sublimation holds great in the wash! The color will last you as long as the vinyl.

Camille, if it's a toner printer, then sadly, no it won't work. This is only for sublimation printers.

unfortunately, you cannot sublimate on our EasyWeed products....it does not withstand the heat needed for sublimation.
Is sublimate ink the same type of ink you put on mugs, I use it to do mugs and such, have to have the sub-mugs to do it..I use my epson printer to do this, I have one printer with sublimate ink and one with pegment ink then another with just die ink, and plenty of siser glitter htv, question is just the ink sublimat ink and the htv glitter has to be siser htv glitter to do this ? so you just print on this paper you used and cut then place face down for 60 sec.....
Yes, if you use a sublimation printer for mugs, it's the same printer and paper and ink used for the glitter material.

+Julie Chh Agreed. We were still learning the technique when we made this video. In hindsight, we should have just printed a full sheet and applied it rather than trying to cut and match the dimensions perfectly. The cut and trim technique is probably best suited for a white shirt.

Zain, a normal inkjet print would not work. Sublimation ink is specifically designed to turn to a gas and permeate the fibers of the fabric upon heat application.

Sorry, Leigh. Nothing yet. It's difficult to develop a vinyl that can withstand the high temperatures of sublimation.
subli flock can be sublimated. If you're not familiar with flock, it's that lush velvety htv.

Why is the white glitter so impossible to find? Every store is sold out.
Chere BG White is one of the most popular colors in the glitter lineup. Add the fact that everyone is fighting to get it for sublimation and you can see how it quickly runs out. I believe distributors will be getting more before the end of July.

Siser White Glitter was, at one time, the only HTV you could sublimate on.....but now we have our EasySubli HTV
How do I get the perfect cut of the graphic after I print on the sublimation printer?
You can either cut the design by hand with scissors or an X-Acto blade... or if you have a cutter that can cut registered designs, you can print crop marks on the design and have the cutter do the work for you!
I'm so excited about this! Just to clarify: I can cut the glitter HTV solid shape then I can print to my sublimation printer from Cricut design Space, cut with cricut slightly smaller than the HTV and proceed?
