Very slick little tractor!Truely the Little tractor than could!Like how the tools mount up front so you can clearly see what you are doing!Does a LOT for something compact!
Josh I wish I’d have seen this a few years ago. I purchased a zero turn for my place. I’m now looking for someone to till up a garden for me. If I had that I wouldn’t have to worry about asking anyone! Love it!!
I think every farmer needs a machine like that. That thing is handy as a pocket on a shirt and looks like it’s set up for all day working. Thanks for showing us
You are probably 1 of top 5 most helpful, relatable and fun homesteading/farming channels out there! Thanks for each awesome topic!! I have to buy or lease one in the future. Added yet another one of your videos to my Channel for others. 😉
I'm a Ventrac owner for over 12 years and I now have 2 tractors and 13 attachments. What started out as a hobby turned into a successful business for us.
I used to build deliver and service Ventracs in Western North Carolina, I miss it! Great video man. Be sure to keep the inner tires at 10 psi and the outter duels at 5, grease the belly bar and articulating cylinder. Take care! -Steve
I have been a fan of the Ventrac for several years. I grew up using the old Gravelys which were tougher than nails, The Ventrac is a modern and more user friendly peice of equipment than the old Gravely and just as tough. I will be buying a Ventrac for my ranch later this year. Thanks for the great video, Paul
Great video Josh and great tractor . Few years ago I bought a KUBOTA BX to help maintain our 5 acres mainly all lawn , we used to farm many years ago . Like yourself the Kubota is the most universal machine I've ever bought I'm always doing something with it , has the 60inch mid mount mowing deck , front loader and back hoe. Saves my back a lot of work . Good equipment makes life easier. Keep up the good work and take care mate .
The rockdust looks great next to the carport! Ventrac is kickin some butt on the farm!! That gulley really is fixed up now. Ya can't even tell that it was washed out anymore! That looks great. Ventrac on the job, really does handle the work. Good video sir!
thanks for the honest review of the ventrac ive always tried to find honest reviews of them but cant find any... ive made my mind... I WANT ONE I NEED ONE keep up the good work
That Ventrac is a pretty awesome machine, it's a real workhorse, no doubt about it! Pretty cool little tractor, keep up the great work Josh, love your videos!
You know we love you man, and love the vids. One of the things we all love is your honesty. Cost man, you have always been good about giving us the skinny. How does it compare, etc.
Tractor Time with Tim went to the factory and showed how they're put together. My biggest downside to them is how everything connects. Proprietary accessories are costly, not to mention 3 point has been around forever. I can see if you had the bank roll to purchase one and all the attachments, go for it. Another plus is the roll over rate the ventrac has over a conventional tractor.
"Sometimes things break on the farm". You sound like my farmhand, Josh. He always says "It broke". Can't seem to differentiate between operator error and breakage from wear and tear. The buck stops with the guy who had his head in the clouds. Love that little tractor. Might trade my 5055E for one like that.
Whenever you are ready to disconnect the hydraulics power down and move the hydraulic lever that will release the pressure in the line and you will be able to connect the lines. I had same experience as you had when we got our Ventrac from the factory. Ventrac actually has a video about this on their website. I guess people at dealerships don’t always know this. If you don’t do that you will have to loosen a line to release the pressure. Enjoying your work and enthusiasm.
That's because only golf courses and governments can afford them, on the public's dime, of course. Don't get me wrong, they're neat little machines. However, they are way overpriced for what they are, and what they can and cannot do.
lol Mighty Mighty BossTrac lol....I love it....gonna put all these suggestions to a vote on Wednesday's live stream between 7p and 8p after I get my work done
We have Steiners on our family farm (There essentially the same tractor) The people that own Ventrac used to own Steiner but they soled the company. Just like yours they are very tough machines!
So basically the Ventrac is a small Ditch Witch trencher converted into a tractor... Great idea, I plowed in and trenched in many service lines with a trencher about the same size when I worked with a Natural Gas company, those little things would go anywhere and were rock solid!!!
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer pretty much the same machine, look them up, great idea someone finally took this concept to something that can be used for something other than utility construction, I spent 18 years running one and see very little difference between the two, other than attachments on the front instead of a trencher!
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer will do, it is just ubelievable how much this resembles a small plow/trencher, ((which is a good thing, those things are bad to the bone) if they were bigger I would consider one, but way to small for my application sadly, because I would lve to have one! WOOOOOO Hope you guys are doing good!
The Ventrac would probably suit us well. We are referred to as "Hobby-Farmers" because we have less than 20 acres. Would work well in the orchard where a tractor doesn't work with the amount of rain we've get. I think leasing one is the best way to find out if it suits one's needs. I agree with Honey Badger for a name.
That ventrac is a great little tractor. Would have like to have one of those when I was a landscaper 30 yrs ago. Take that old straw you scrapped up and put it over that wash area you filled. Then take the seed drill and run that over a few times (with some seed of course). That composting straw should really make that area pop and will help hold the seed down and keep the moisture in. Just a thought I had unless you had other plans for the old straw.
Josh, the Tires are called HDAP .( Heavy Duty All Purpose ). They are NOT "Turf" tires. They are as you say excellent for this tractors duties on a lawn or field.
I believe you will get really good at fixing tires. FEL bucket is kind of useless with no dumping height. The rake and brush mower attachment appears to work really well. Looking forward to seeing the lawn mower attachment at work
They are a great machine. I purchased two last year, had them running 8hr a day five days a week with the contour decks and edger. Just a heads up when you are running a deck mover watch when letting the deck tilt up you will go through that front belt because the pullies are fixed in their positions..
Josh, what is your ultimate end goal for your farm?....like...chickens, beef, dairy, vegetables?....we are starting a first generation farm as well and hope to have a small micro dairy with a farmstead creamery (Maple Ridge Dairy is my other profile). Your videos are quite familiar as we are doing similar stuff right now as well.
I have a 1960's version of a tractor like the Ventrac, Ebro A30L, had 3, sold one, one for parts and one under process of restoring. They are great for small areas like inside of tunnel greenhoses or in viñards and orchards. Another one is a Pascual from 18 to 90hp, 2 or 4 wheels with traction to all wheels. I would love to be able to afford a ventrac as i know how usefull my Ebro is.
Hey great job!! You inspire me and I hope I can grow up to have the same work ethic and skill as you. You also bring me joy with many of the things you do. I really appreciate it man thanks
Thanks Jack....I see the "thumbs down bandits" have already struck bhahhahah 16 views and 5 thumbs down....the hate gives me super power!!! Woooooo!!! bhhahaha
Josh! Awesome! I have three little tractors too and they are worth their weight in gold. Also, great for those that are intimidated to gain confidence on machinery. Excellent choice!
Great Job! I’m thinking of using that exact same carport cover in between two shipping containers here at Twisted Pines. Always learn something every video I watch. Thanks.
Ventrac makes the best promo videos I have ever seen. Makes you want one with every available attachment for sure.

I’ve been watching ventrac videos for at least 3 years. Those things are very cool. I’d love to have one. Good video!
I love my Ventrac. Do not know how I could handle our farm without it.
I love my 4200 turbo diesel. Have a blade and two 72 inch mower decks. Have a 200. Acre farm. Love it, couldn’t go without it.
Glad to see you got your own Ventrac. Congratulations!
Good for you Josh. Buying land, building jeeps, leasing ventrac, TH-cam, all on the side. Awesome man. Whoooo.

I love these tractors... We have the early version when they were called "Steiner" So versatile and fun. The snow blower is an awesome attachment too.
I think that's an awesome addition to your farm Josh.
Bad ass tough machine.
The farm is looking awesome . Well worth the hard work . Nothing better than the self worth of transforming something . Well done be proud 👍👍
That is one of the best little tractors to have.It is Super Versatile and many liyylr government units and golf courses love them.

Look for a used Ventrak now to add to my little clearing company. Great job, man.

That Ventrac seems like a sturdy, reliable, tractor. Great review, keep the vlogs coming.
