I found your channel a few days ago...since I am a female, who loves Hot Wheels and have a small collection of thrift store finds. I feel a bit out of place commenting, expect since you mentioned you appreciate comments so I figured it would be a safe time to say I love your channel and your voice is very soothing to me and you take great care in drilling your cars and really shows you care for your collection. Thank you for being an inspiration!
I must have watched at least 20 of your videos so far, this one is easily my favorite. I don't think I'd ever find myself down the rabbit hole of restoring old Hotwheels/Matchbox cars, but I could watch these videos for days.
There's a kind of deep meditative quality you bring to these video's. Each process is very clear and concise. Thanks for the valuable contribution you bring to the hobby. It's very much appreciated
One of the most beautiful restorations of this line that I have seen so far. That model is itself a work of art, and you made the plastic windscreen look like glass with your artful polishing. Very very fine work.
took you 4 years to get to 100k, then 2 years to get to 300k. thats some growth. you put out great content. i dont restore cars, but you make me want to!
Your vids are very satisfying to watch. 🙂 especially right before bed for some reason lol. Maybe it's just cause I'm trying to relax and wind down after working til 12 or 1 am but the relaxed tone of your vids plus the end result of the cars always puts me in a good mood. Congrats on 100K!
These old matchboxes are a lot nicer that whatever hotwheels shat out throughout decades. Also this is probably the first custom job you did which i genuinely would like to own as someone who doesn't collect toy cars.
I personally have no real interest in doing restorations like this myself, and am honestly not even interested in real cars. But watching you restore these is really fascinating, and the way you talk and present everything is very relaxing. This is one of those niche channels that I absolutely love to find on youtube - the type of quality content that keeps me coming back for more. thanks for all the videos and hard work!
I've gotta tell you good sir that I have not one artistic bone in my body. But watching you do it has inspired me to take a look into trying it myself. I find your vids to be a great stress relief, so taking this on would do wonders for my PTSD. You're man, keep up the good work, and thanks for this.
Try using the gel paint stripper. I haven't had a single paint job win that battle yet! For the really rare cases of stubborn paint refusing to leave and find it's fortune, I'll leave the car in a jar with a lid on over night. This is my favorite die cast resto channel, thank brother! Jack Canada
Ya know I don't generally have a thing for hot wheels cars but this channel is so entertaining I love watching you finish these things up and make them look nice.
in regard to those wheels .consider how many of these are still around , I have never seen one with broken wheels ...ever. this model is nearly 50 years old and those tiny little wire spoke wheels have survived . in the uk there are a lot of modern small scale vehicles by a company called oxford diecast . there great models and loads of variety but even they cant make a decent wire wheel , they have a sort of fake plastic moulded ones .I think these old lesney/matchbox car are probably the best value toy on the market. I still have loads of mine and every one has a memory . I enjoy your videos and find them informative and entertaining . the reason the paint wasn't easy to remove is simple ...it was british made ... back when we did actually make stuff and did it well lol. cheers .
I really find your videos soothing somehow. The looks on those restored cars sure are nice and eye-catching. I learned a lot from your videos, too. Would really like to learn more, as well as to give back. Recently I've developed a technique to do axle swaps but still keep the look of it authentic, using only solder and a couple of files.
Very nice work, as usual. Thank you for sharing your skills and knowledge of this hobby. I am glad I found your videos, and watch every one. I'm not into these cars myself, but enjoy restoring things and just enjoy your work.
Frankly, it's a ton of fun watching you fix these tiny toy cars. You should offer your restoration services to hardcore collectors who are too busy to fix cars themselves.
I am amazed at how big your channel has gotten, and I take pride in knowing you when you had less than 3K subscribers. A package will be sent by the end of June with your truck!
Looking at the car at the end of the video, the one thing I could think of that would be easy to do, but make all the difference, is somehow, placing a black stripe of paint around the raised section of the edge of the windows to create the look of the rubber seals that go around the windows...this would really give it a finished look, much like the detail on the grille you did....excellent work with this one!
I love your vidios because you put just excactly the infro nessesary, Your commentary is to the point and informative. The vidio is wonderfull. I did not know I loved Machbox cars so much till I saw your site. Thanks.
Congrats on the 100K. I really enjoy your videos & have watched many of them more than once. I am now beginning to restore some of my old Red Lines from when I was a kid using your techniques. Thanks!
Congratz on 100k!!!! i'm quite new to your channel and I love what you do! You are a great inspiration for me to fix my old hot wheels cars I really think more people should know about your channel! Definately keep on doing what you are doing!
Nice job once again and congrats on reaching over 100K subs. You deserve it. On a site where most popularity just comes from gaming videos or annoying pranks or clickbait blogging, it's nice to see some real craftsmanship, creativity, and talent. The Ferrari turned out great, the glittering silver paint and clear coat almost looks like the paint of a real car.
Congratulations with the milestone man! As soon as i saw the thumbnail for this one in my feed i got excited because it looks absolutely excellent. Great choices for colours!
Almost all of it looks great, except the front posts at the windshield. The silver just made it more obvious that not enough time was taken on them. I love your work, so don't take my comment too hard. Keep up the customs. 👍
So cool!! I have this car in same color green and used it to pull the matchbox Honda motorcycle trailer. I still love my cars after all these years. (50+)
that was in pretty decent condition to start with.. You made it look even nicer though! This is one of my favourite lesney castings.. the GT40 is very cool as well! maybe tackle one of those next..
Hey man. I'm a fan of what you do. I really liked this restoration because I'm a Ferrari fan. I really would've like to see it in classical Ferrari red though.
I found this exact Matchbox Ferrari casting in a toy car grab bag at a Value Village thrift store last week, though I like it in green so I'll leave it as is. It's my oldest Matchbox Ferrari by far, at least a decade and a half older than the Pioneer 308 that was the record-holder until now.
I've really been enjoying your videos! Learning a lot about the hobby and they're all very inspiring. I'm about half way done making a Hot Wheels Miata into a custom miniature version of my own Miata. Would love to see you do a Miata on your channel!
Great work! Another minor detail that could be done, on a car of that vintage the rear registration plate would have been black with silver letters - so the same spray-and-wipe technique used for the grill would have worked here.
Excellent result!! Love the gloss finish look on this. Love the front grill detail also. Congrats on 100k subscribers. You should have more! Always great videos!👍🏽👍🏽
Congrats to 100.000! Just subscribed yesterday, this channel is awesome! BTW I would have preferred gloss red for the Ferrari, and I would definitely have removed the tow hitch. But that's just my opinion.
Your restoration vidios are by far the best, most enjoyable restoration vidios out there and u have a great voice. Thats why you have so many subs n views Keep em comeing please!
what you do is amazing, I just started watching a couple weeks ago but I love the care and attention that you use on these cars. it got me started in trying this for myself and I was wondering, if you can get your hands on one, I'd like to see your take on the 56' Merc.
you should open up a shop. this level of craftsmanship and attention to detail is amazing
Wow, this looks so good. You'd never know it was Matchbox, the amount of effort was worth it.
My kids and I watch your videos before their bedtime. We all enjoy them equally. Keep up the good work!

This has been one of my favorite restores yet! Beautiful car and phenomenal results!
This is one of my favourites so far, that grill turned out great.
Even though it is a Ferrari it's got that James Bond vibe to it that you get from the Aston Martin DB 6.😊
You should paint the trailer hitch black and the ball silver, also paint the lic plate yellow with black letters
The number plate should be black with white letters. Yellow plates weren't introduced until 1968 in the UK.
+An drew No, they were silver letters.
Wayne Nineonenine yes black with white letters, what year did the plastic ones come in? 73?
The licence plate at that time would have been black with white letters...
One of the most beautiful restorations of this line that I have seen so far. That model is itself a work of art, and you made the plastic windscreen look like glass with your artful polishing. Very very fine work.
All of your restoration and customization videos are GREAT but I particularly enjoy when you do the old Matchbox cars!
took you 4 years to get to 100k, then 2 years to get to 300k. thats some growth. you put out great content.
i dont restore cars, but you make me want to!

This became so addictive to me, it's as good as restoring a real classic car video to watch.

Love Ferrari's especially the the old ones! The grill was a great touch!

OMG - Thank you so much for saying Aluminium the British way also. And it didn't even sound strange. You nailed it!
Ya know I don't generally have a thing for hot wheels cars but this channel is so entertaining I love watching you finish these things up and make them look nice.
I really like how you take great care to ensure the camera stays in place between processes. It makes for a much less jarring video.

Man. That's a pretty amazing casting. They sure don't make them like they use to. Awesome restoration.
I don't even restore cars or collect them but your videos are really relaxing to watch and always like seeing a new video come out
Very nice work, as usual. Thank you for sharing your skills and knowledge of this hobby. I am glad I found your videos, and watch every one. I'm not into these cars myself, but enjoy restoring things and just enjoy your work.
Wow that mold is amazing and your paint and restoration really make it pop. I really want that car now!
Restore/customize, the word your looking for is resto-mod. Awesome video as always
This is truly superb work. Your work just gets better and better, and this car was a true showcase for this.
Frankly, it's a ton of fun watching you fix these tiny toy cars.
You should offer your restoration services to hardcore collectors who are too busy to fix cars themselves.
That is simply beautiful. This model was a favourite of mine when I was a kid in the late 1960's. Well done on reaching the 100,000 subscriber mark!
stuck with ya!?!? I live for this vids. lots of great tips thank you
TH-cam recommended this channel for me 2 hours ago and now I saw all your videos
I am amazed at how big your channel has gotten, and I take pride in knowing you when you had less than 3K subscribers. A package will be sent by the end of June with your truck!
I truely believe your subscribtion numbers speak for themselves! These vidios are nothing short of mesmerising! Your great at what u do!
One of the most beautiful customs u hv ever done!

Love the detail of the car, you enhanced them perfectly.
This is by far my favourite of your restorations!
i love these videos. something special about reviving a once loved toy.

This is my fav resto you've done so far
Well, what a great result on this legendary coupe. Always enjoying your channel and your lovely attitude. Thanks!

Its really interesting to see how far your skills have advanced. A very nice piece well done.
Love it!
That's a really great casting and you managed to make it look even better.
Congrats on the 100k subs.
Lovely job mate. If you had done the same job on that back number plate as you did on the from grill it would have been "Best In Show".
Light coats just like with real bodywork. Wow looks good!
Congrats on the 100K. I really enjoy your videos & have watched many of them more than once. I am now beginning to restore some of my old Red Lines from when I was a kid using your techniques. Thanks!
I dont now why I watch these, but the are excellent. Congratulations on 100k.
Congratz on 100k!!!! i'm quite new to your channel and I love what you do! You are a great inspiration for me to fix my old hot wheels cars I really think more people should know about your channel! Definately keep on doing what you are doing!
I need to start collecting vintage matchbox. They're georgous! Great job as usual!
Very nice work. I know painters who can't paint full size cars with that skill. (and patience)
I've been subscribed for a few months now and I've watched every video, love the quality and the effort put into these videos
Been subbed for over a year now, love these restorations!
love the attention to detail, great video
A few parts only, yet your result is gobsmackingly beautiful.
Really really sharp job is that! Looks like a James Bond car!
Congratulations with the milestone man!
As soon as i saw the thumbnail for this one in my feed i got excited because it looks absolutely excellent. Great choices for colours!
You Rock! I wish I could show you the stuff I used to do to mines when I was a kid you'd probably get a kick out of it.
This is one of your best cars in my opinion. Really good!
I wanna see you make a custom of a Deora II. It's one of my favorite models and I love what you do to these cars. congrats on the 100k
This restoration is simply beautiful.
Welcome to 100K! Well deserved, it's great seeing these cars get turned often from rough old toys fancy new sometimes even better than factory new!
Dude you're like Bob Ross of Diecasting. My inner five year old approves. Keep up the cool videos
this was one of the best ive seen from you! i would love to see a restoration of a vintage matchbox cop car! congratz on 100k!
Think they did a Mercury Wagon and Ford Galaxy 500.
Thank you for making these videos, they are so relaxing and interesting!!!
I have no idea how did I come up to this channel, but it's amazing, thanks for a content :)
Wow, you really put a lot of attention in this one.
I've watched a few of these and this one is my favorite.
that was in pretty decent condition to start with.. You made it look even nicer though! This is one of my favourite lesney castings.. the GT40 is very cool as well! maybe tackle one of those next..
Great job!! You did lots of detail. I have seen a lot of restored videos most don't do any interior accent paint nice to see you did.
Great job.Love the Ferrari logo on the grill.
Really enjoying this channel. Keep on going!

your work is so intricate and relaxing 🌸
Great work! Another minor detail that could be done, on a car of that vintage the rear registration plate would have been black with silver letters - so the same spray-and-wipe technique used for the grill would have worked here.
This turned out better than I expected. Also, congratulations on hitting 103k subscribers.
Excellent result!! Love the gloss finish look on this. Love the front grill detail also. Congrats on 100k subscribers. You should have more! Always great videos!👍🏽👍🏽
