Did you notice that this Matchbox restoration episode; also revamped my memory of when, Katherine and Corey Chrysler used to live on the corner of Rodriguez Street and 7th Avenue? I'm not kidding you, it did. It's about when they used to own a 1950s black pickup truck, or even a 1950s black 2 door sedan with red hub caps and white wall tires. It's right next to where the old SPCA is. I've rode past there many times before.

Man, I really wish there was more of a market for vintage Hot Wheels/Die Casts in my country so I could get into this hobby.
Oh and I really like the outcome of this customization.

      Did you try ebay ?

    • @SadistikGraffix916
      @SadistikGraffix916 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

Why do you need a market for a hobby? Passion isn't about profit.
I've been into scale models for close to 30 years and i can promise you that selling them is the LAST thing i think about. I do what i do because i love doing it,it's challenging,it hones my skills,it forces creativity and keeps me out of the bars. If i can turn a profit from it then that's just some extra icing on my cake.
The resources are there for you to start. If people dig your work then YOU'LL create the market for yourself.

This came out fantastic! The laser cut masks worked well for the skulls since I see they tend to be a little rough around the edges. I really liked the multiple steps of painting you used to achieve the final result. I also especially liked the detail on the interior! You have given me lots of great tips and ideas in this video. Thank you! 👍🏻

Keep doing better and keep inspiring youngsters.

Nice job. Those skulls are great fun!!
Back in the day, 40+ years ago, we had one guy at our slot car racing club who would hand paint mad stuff onto the inside of lexan 1/32nd scale body shells. His own race cars were always detailed, even showing sponsor decals etc. On one shell he even produced a fair copy of the Yes album Relayer cover art, with cave detail, snake and everything. I guess he was glad we didn't race 1/64th scale!

Yes more Airbrush videos. I'm sure you've decanted a spray can before for Airbrush. Can you do a video showing that and say how you clean your Airbrush?

    My anonymous friend:
The artistic talent and modesty of the work here is at the highest level of quality. The painting and application of the skulls was superb. The result is not my personal favorite for this car, since I am a former owner of a 1965 Lincoln Continental. JFK was assassinated in a 1963 model.

now thats a wicked '64! that end result looks amazing, like a month long 30 coat custom job, in 1/64 scale size and time ;) i dont have the laser thing so i would have to resort to other means of reproducing the skulls, i dont think i could even come close to the art work you created ;) i think i would just do white skulls in gloss and keep the rest flat with some of that molotow liquid chrome for the handles and stuff... Thanx BaremetalHW! i happen to have 3 or 4 of these or other low rider style pieces... I am VERY inspired now ;) as i always am when i see a video youve produced !!!!

Sent this to you via TH-cam message, but I'll leave here to see if other people approve the idea:
Little challenge on what to make. Don't know if it will end up very amazing or if it is even possible, but you might want to give it a try:
Get a Custom '62 Chevy and a 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge:
    hotwheels.wikia.com/wiki/Custom_%2762_Chevy
    hotwheels.wikia.com/wiki/1969_Pontiac_GTO_Judge
The Pontiac's engine is separated from the body and the underside, as a separate piece, so you can take it out by taking both appart, and it probably fits in the bed of the Chevy truck perfectly. I want you to make a dragster rear-engine truck, kinda like this image I just found:
    s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/a8/92/ab/a892ab25eae4d47ed1cce300ae605ebe.jpg
If other people know other trucks that would be better for this, please comment it.
Love your work. Good luck if you accept this challenge.

Hey Baremetal, I have an idea. In the new race day series the Porsche 962 car has perfect real rider wheels for a low rider, maybe you can make a fun short 2 minute video on your lowrider hopper car with those wheels, I would like to see what they look like as well as see if rubber tires hold it in place more.
