I find it very interesting that when Barb tells Blitzo she never wants to see him again, she points directly at the necklace Blitzo has from his mother. She even touches the necklace at one point. Maybe the reason for this is because Barbie is indirectly telling Blitzo that the reason she never wants to see him is the same reason why he is the one wearing the necklace and not her or their Mom.
1) When has the necklace ever been mentioned to be something he got from his mother?
2) When was it mention that's even a necklace?
3) You misinterpreted the scene, she was pointing at him and poking him which is something people do when they talk face to face like that.

1) While not mentioned, when Blitzo is going through photos on his phone during Season 1 Episode 8 "Ozzie's", you see a family photo of him, Barb and their mother Tilla. Tilla is wearing the exact accessory on her neck that present-day Blitzo has. So it's very much implied.
2) The fact that both he and Tilla wear/wore it around the neck means it's either a necklace or a choker.

Right when Barbie sees Blitz in this episode, she doesn't pronounce the o, but afterwards, she does.
Millie's legs blend in because hers are more human. There seem to be two different kind of Imp legs. Moxxie got his from his mother, but his father also has the more human type.
Current theory is that imps from different rings of hell have slight variations in their appearance, just like different species of animals do in real life. Some species might look different in North America compared to Asia (random examples but you get the idea).

Maybe the reason why Barbie can have a human disguise could be related to the Asmodean Crystal in her possession? The transformation effect looks different from the one of Loona and Stolas; it looks more like the diamond-shaped "sparkles" of that portal that we saw twice. 🤔
Would explain why Verosika and her crew have human disguises. And I'm assuming Loona probably got the spell for the disguise from Stolas' book, that's why their transformations look the same.
and her bracelet if you look at it on a pause screen it does look like it has a crystal in it.
It is indeed thanks to the asmodean crystals the reason why Barbie Wire has a human disguise and can create a portal for Earth or Hell. It's the bracelet, probabily given to her by Verosica, or the people she was working for getting drugs to Hell.

To be fair about the costume thing, usually they are around adult humans. Kids have no filter, teenagers don't give a shit about eachothers feelings, and adults insult you under their breath/when you arent around.
So the costumes probably never worked, but in addition to the humans being dumber in this world, they probably thought it would be rude to point out how ugly they were

That's a good observation. Children are far more prone to notice such oddities, both in fiction and in real life, because they aren't yet burdened with a lifetime of expectations. They can acknowledge the weirdness because they don't know how things are supposed to work, unlike adults, who will ignore it because either (a) it would be too much of a hassle to deal with, or (b) they aren't mentally prepared to cope with the ramifications of the truth.
This is actually a very old trope, dating back at least as far as "The Emperor's New Clothes".
to be fair the only people that have seen them were drunk people and people in LA, these are the most normal people we have seen in the show. which is hilarious because even the psychopath family from season 1 episode one figured it out

On the whiteboard behind blitz at 38:04 is a drawing of Loona killing the doctor from Western energy. You can see a syringe next to the doctor with a green colour which is obviously the hellvies shot Loona had in that episode.

The reason that Millie's legs blend better is because Millie and Moxie actually have completely different bone structure when it comes to their legs. Moxie takes after his mother, having more goat like legs. Millie has more human like legs, with the knees in the same place as us. It's just the way it's always been

Moxxie has always been soft and sensitive since childhood (which is in no way something bad), we've known this since "Exes and Ohs", but because his mother was ripped away from him by his Father he never got the enough validation he needed to feel completely good about himself.... Something that made him even more insecure overall since Crimson always points out and humiliates him for his weaknesses.
That's why as an Adult he still desperately seeks validation from others, either by his work as an assassin or in his passion for music. That's why his worst tendencies and insecurities surface out here... Because Millie is the one getting all the praise and attention for the things he's supposed to be good at.
(And for the record, no... Millie is not "better than him in every way", they are both extremely effective in both assassination and music, they just are in different ways.... Like how Moxxie it's a Master handling long-range weapons while Millie has the "Athletic skill of an Olimpian" as Moxxie puts it).
What Moxxie fails to realize in this situation it's that the real reason why all those kids love Millie it's because she's just enjoying being herself, she's not actively seeking attention... she simply feels good about who she is and what she does... and that energy it's what makes her so charismatic in other people's eyes.
This is a really good example of the difference in effect of having a relatively good and normal upbringing (like Millie) against having a total fucked-up life (like Moxxie).

The guy Blitzo pushed up against a wall in Lust AND Barbie both use Asmodean Crystals. It's what Asmodeus dispenses to his succubi and incubi so they can go to Earth and seduce humans. Barbie probably can't disguise on her own, hence she's utilizing the crystal. In 'Western Energy' Stolas had an alert on his cell about about a meeting with Asmodeus - most likely to secure a crystal for Blitz, so that I.M.P. and, by extension Blitz, are no longer dependant on Stolas' involvement.
The candleheaded demons are native to the Sloth ring (we have no official name, some people call them baphomets since Baphomet is depicted with a candle on their goat head.) The nurse with the vertical mouth appears to be a mix of a Sloth demon and...something else, maybe imp? In Ozzie's we briefly saw an imp/Sloth demon combo so it's possible.. And then the guy Blitz slapped with his tail had imp horns, but wings like an incubi. Hybrids are really prominent throughout the Rings, it seems.
I'm curious now that we've seen the Crystal that Stolas got from Ozzie.... it looks WAY different than these crystals. Could the ones featured in this episode be from Belphagor instead of Ozzie? I think Stolas said that Ozzie's succubi are *some* of the only demons who can go top side legally, so maybe these are the other exception. The drug pushers from Sloth, and their crystals have the soft pink with gem shapes? Ozzie's seem to be diamond shaped and orange-ish.
@@brigade7678 I don't think they would overcomplicate it like that. Some viewers were already confused by Barbie's crystal, they don't really need more interdimensional jewelry to keep up with. It's possible Ozzie makes deals with other Sins and supplies the crystals for their underlings.
@freakcircus6109 true enough, the language does say his are *some* of the only ones allowed up, but that could mean the crystals are from him still.
They do seem to be vastly different colors & shapes is all. And color has been a pretty big thing in the show to denote different rings. I just wouldn't be surprised if there were different types of crystals, similar similar how we see several types of fire.
I haven't heard anyone mention it, but Loona is asleep (conically) because she was vaccinated in the previous episode, so she's exhausted from it.
So in season 2 ep 1, during that bit with Stolas singing. He opens a book to the page with those Asmodean crystals. Apparently those crystals are given out to Succubi and have the ability to give disguises and open portals similar to the Book. Used to conduct human world related business. It seems like Stolas was looking into them because he was contemplating giving one of the crystals to Blitz. He either changed his mind in note of current events between him and bltiz or hasnt gotten around to it yet.
Great reaction! I think the reason Barbie Wire can transform is tied to the Asmodean crystal she's using to access Earth. As I understand it, Asmodeus supplies these to the Succubi / Incubi, and presumably, also supplies whatever allows them to take human form (maybe that's even the crystal itself). I doubt the crystals are avaliable to ordinary imps, so Barbie's probably stolen hers. -I do feel sorry for Moxxie in this. Torn between his desire to impress his boss, make a perfect mission and be a popular girl...he manages none of it! And Blitzø...finally there is someone he cares enough about to reach out to...and when he does, she not only rejects him but tells him she never wants to see him again! 😭 As for the drawing on the whiteboard...I think that is Loona murdering the Goat Doc from last episode 😋
Barbie probably got it from her work, since it seemed like she was getting heroine from the human world for what seemed like a succubus/incubus run drug store.

I don't think your statement is true about the "ordinary imp" thing. Loona in the Spring Beach episode called them out for not being in disguises. Same with Verosika in that episode.

I don't think it is about race. Its about the expense and whether your job requires one or not.
Now I would imagine these things are QUITE expensive. Now imagine having to buy one for Moxxie, Millie, and Blitzø. That is SUPER expensive.
We also have to remember the only reason Loona transforms is she's spent the most time with the book so she knows Stolas's spells.
Also, on the subject of the crystals, we have to ask whether you can use the disguise all the time or if it is a one and done type of deal. Therefore increasing the expenses.
Ergo them taking the cheaper route and cosplaying as humans. Plus racism IS a factor in the fact they don't have a good office. Their parking space isn't respected and it's much harder to run a business due to prejudice. Which would make buying weapons, getting them repaired, buying commodities, and keeping up with utilities is harder since they won't be charged fairly.
I am fairly certain the only reason Barbie has a crystal is because of her work supplying it due to necessity. I mean she JUST got outta rehab so there's no way she has the cash to just buy one. I find it funny she works in a literal DR×G store. So by hell standards it IS honest work.
@@nobinary2296 Well, your ordinary / typical imp is on the bottom rung of society, so they probably wouldn't have the liquid assets needed to get ahold of one. I doubt they would be banned from having one, most just wouldn't be able to get one (by honest means at least). By Hellhound standards, Vortex is probably pretty near the top imaginable (especially with his GF being one of the Seven Sins!), so who knows...maybe he's even got his own, personal disguise trinket (unless he is especially magically gifted, as Loona seems to be).

I actually enjoyed this episode quite a lot, it finally brings some spice in Moxxie and Millie's relationship, because real relationship aren't as black and white as previously represented by the show and that's nice to see.
Also because you asked here are the answers to your questions during the episode.
First, Moxxies legs are a genetically different trait to many other imps.
Millie doesn't have them and neither do Blitz or even Moxxies father. However Moxxies mother did have those differently bend legs like Moxxie has.
Second, Barb has what's called an Asmodeus Crystal, a tool usually reserved for succubi, this crystal is given to them to do their job of seducing humans. I'm not entirely sure if these crystals can make you shapeshift, but they can open a portal to the human world and if they can transform you it would explain why Barb could transform.
As to why she has it, no clue, it is rumored that Blitz is an imp/succubus hybrid, because he's able to get into relationships with imfluencial people so easily, which would make his twin sister Barbie also one and that's maybe why she got the crystal for her job.
Erica Linbeck, who voices Loona, did take a leave of absence. It wasn't her husband, it was her Boyfriend. Her BF was also a VA, it was Billy Kametz, who voiced the Dub version of Josuke in JJBA; he sadly died of colon cancer last June.
Erica actually took it the hardest because they've been going out for a few years.
You know after meeting Millie’s family and seeing how big it is, she probably didn’t get as much recognition or support as her siblings did. She probably got compared or scolded more. So this probably meant a lot to Millie.
I see what you're saying. But at the same time, she's almost always acknowledged as the best by moxxie and blitz and always steals the show. And movie grew up with a mob boss father who never cared about him. If we were comparing trauma, I'd say moxxie deserves to feel upset this episode. The only time we've ever seen moxxie getting genuinely praised by someone other than millie was when blitz was on truth serum and told him "you do a good job." And Then at the end of the episode, moxxie is directly called a disgrace by blitz.

Also Mildred as a dude has looser pants, therefore easier to hide impish legs. Whereas Moxx has skin tight clothes which very much arhm showcases them much more. He’s definitely been planning this for a long time to stick to that outfit for the Moxxine character- because we know Moxxie is a great actor (in the Hellavua Boss universe) and knows how to create backgrounds fades

I really hope the next episode will be focusing more on Blitz's past, explaining why Fizzarolli (and maybe Barbie Wire) hate him so much, but I have a bad feeling that it's because of an accident that caused the death of Blitz's parents and destruction of the family circus... Anyway, the members of IMP are not capable of creating realistic human disguises because they are not in possesion of an Asmodean Crystal, which would let them get to Earth and "blend in more". Barbie Wire has one, like the imp/succubus that opened the portal for Blitz.
Moxie and Millie have different leg types, you can see it in previous episodes as well. Also Moxie’s hair is like that to hide his horns.
The funny thing is millies full name is Mildred "Millie" Knolastname so her cover names is just a few letters switched.

The worst bit about Moxies issues is... Moxie? Is actually kind of a badass. He carves through mooks on mass just fine. Will take on multiple imps or humans several times his size and absolutely massacre them! Even against enemies actually worth a damn, he at minimum holds his own! Hell, he's actually the team's best shot by a wide margin! He just isn't on par with Millie or even Blitzo when it comes to the whole general thing.
eh, Millie got the melee front covered but is a bad shot (Season 1 ep 2) Blitzo is dexterious and can turn every sorrounding to his adventage even if he is massivly outnumbered. Moxxie is the sniper and shooter of the troop, he can probably aim better then all the rest, but sadly the show seldom had given him a chance to just show of gun skills from a distance and not in immediatly close range to the enemy.
If you are curious about the head candles, look up Baphomet. Also that's kinda why most of the people from the Sloth ring looks like that
The fact that pretty much everyone doing reactions to this episode thinks that a portal crystal (I lack info, but I think those have some tie to Asmodeus) looks like a ring pop is making me think we are just all very hungry.

"Schadenfreude" wasn't the right word to use here. It was a good try though, and your pronounciation was pretty good! But the word you where looking for was "Fremdschämen", which is also the direct translation of "Secound hand emberasmant". So you can leave out the "secound hand-" and just say "Fremdschämen", or you can go with denglish (genglish? the mix of german and english xD) and say "secound hand Schämen".
The word "Schadenfreude" is kind of the oposite of what you where trying to say, since it describes beeing happy about someones missfortune and can be translated to english as "malicious joy". (Basically if you see a video of someone runing into a glass door, and it makes you laugh, that's "Schadenfreude" xD)
My guess is that human disguises can be obtained through learning some spell that takes classes or an accessory like a necklace or watch, and Blitzo is just too damn cheap to pay for either.

They’re very careful not to show the prominent circus poster of Blitz and Barbie that’s hanging to the right of the door in his office this episode, but included it in at least one background shot of every other episode that had a scene in the office. Just to catch out the casual watchers.

My theory is that Blitzo tried to do a stunt in his family’s circus and it ended up with Fizz getting severely injured to the point he was mostly animatronic, and it basically destroyed the family circus; ultimately ruining Barbies career, and causing her to go and use drugs. Would also explain why Fizz and Barbie hate him because he F***** up there lives.
That's the popular theory it would seem. Many people are also speculating the accident may have killed one or both of their parents too.
The circus was already pretty extreme, and just like real life circuses they probably had to go even further to stay afloat when they started losing people's attention; The possibility that whatever stunt that happened was a result of them trying to save the family business and ended up destroying it adds to the potential tragedy.

The picture on the whiteboard was Loona killing the doctor that gave her the hellbies shot. I would assume she drew it while they were gone.
I feel like, structually, the Barb-Blitz plot could have benefitted from being pushed further back this season, because for me it comes a bit out of left field (even with the foreshadowing in "Ozzie's").
That way, the reconcilliation with Fizz could have been an accidental first step for Blitz that shows him it's possible to mend relationships. Then he makes an active effort to reconnect with his sister (after WE find out what the whole fire incident entailed) aaand it backfires again.
