19:40 a reminder that Verosika is a Succubus; her line of work, being sex work and working under Asmodeus in the Lust Ring, probably means she constantly gets clients that she’s expected to appeal to for an hour, no matter how uncomfortable they make her, help them get their rocks off, get paid, and move on to the next. Her job requires her to put her feelings and likely even some of her comfort on the back-burner, just so the client gives a good review to Ozzie. Hell, it probably makes it difficult to entertain relationships, if she’s worried she’ll only get weirdos who just want her for sex. So imagine that when she opened up to Blitzø about genuinely loving him and wanting to be more with him, as we learned in S1E3, he stole her car and credit cards, maxed out the latter, and left her in whatever hotel they were at (probably having to do some favors just to get out, after losing her credit cards). THAT’s the cruel reply he gave her, and that she faced for being vulnerable with someone for once, that her job wouldn’t likely allow her to. And it seems like the damage he did to her was so bad, she became addicted to Beelze-Juice (Queen Beelzebub’s own alcoholic-beverage, something that’s probably dangerously addictive, since it’s made by the Sin of Gluttony), and she wound up in rehab, where she met Barbie Wire, who also resented Blitzø for the death of their mom and circus careers. So…fuck dude, this annual Blitzø-hate party, just for all the people he’s hurt, to vent…that’s pretty big of her, if he’s hurt muktiple people to varying degrees like that.
2 things, one verosika is a succubus, so her falling in love is very unique considering their job, second he didn't just run as said in sping broken and i quote "You gonna run off, leaving someone else to pay for the hotel room, steal their car and run three rings to Wrath and max MY credit cards on shitty horse riding lessons?!"
Not to mention, depending on some sources of succubi in fantasy, a succubus literally dies if she falls in love. So yeah, the fact that she said the L word to Blitzø only for him to leave her was like dying twice back to back.

There are three episodes remaining in the season, and we're getting them in October, November, and December. Fortunately, we're also getting three shorts in the vein of Hell's Bells. Those will drop in July, August, and September. We're probably not going to get any resolution between Blitz and Stolas until the full episodes drop, but at least there will be something to tide us over in the meantime. ...now I need to spend some time with a tub of ice cream. This episode was rough.
Kirby's reaction to Blitz's confession at 20:23 really illustrates the magic of this show. Viv and Co. have created characters that make us laugh until we're hoarse, and who can then turn around and break our hearts with their emotional depth. This show and also Hazbin are truly on a different level with the art, writing, music and the performances. I can't think of another series that's captured my interest like this.
This episode just makes me appreciate Blitzo's character all the more. Yeah, he hurt a lot of people, but he didn't do so maliciously. He did it cause he thinks he'll hurt those he cares about down the line. Remember, the day he was gonna give Fizzie a gift, he accidentally burned down the tent and to this day he hates himself for it. But when Verosika showed him that he still causes suffering in other ways, he understands where she is coming from and acknowledges he wants to be better. That is how you write a sympathetic jerk; show their reason for being mean, acknowledge that their coping isn't okay, and give them a reason to start developing.
I am so floored by how great this episode was! It's gonna be very interesting to see how Blitz and Stolas develop now that they're no longer together. At the end, I was so glad that Verosika doesn't forgive Blitz after everything he put her(and others) through! It was very satisfying to see her rightfully call out her ex on his bullshit, offer him advice on how to move on from Stolas, and even give him some cake. She is such a great part of this story!
To me it felt like forgiving but not forgetting. She sees that he feels genuine remorse and wants to change, so she puts her hurt aside and offers him advice for how to do so. It doesn’t erase the hurt she still feels or the anger she still has towards what he did to her, but she’s willing to bury the hatchet for the sake of moving on.

This episode really cause some emotional damage for Blitz but we can clearly see that he is making some progress of doing better in his lifetime out there. But we might have to wait a bit longer to see if he is going to change or progress moving downwards to make a mess of himself. As both are characters from S1 Ep1 and looking very different but more polished from their previous designs. •Blitz seems to have done some amazing apologetic things from previous episodes characters to his fallen of exs out there •Robo Fizz in Loo Loo Land survived the fall of the Fair grounds as we can see him smiling in the dark shadows •When Blitz gone to the human surface to give a speech at a Memorable Event, the people who died was Brandon Rangers and the Director from S2 Ep Seeing Stars •The Bouncer from S1 Ep 7 came back for the apology tour •In the human surface the old man is voiced by Brandon Rogers who played as “Grandpa” 😅 •There be people in Halloween costumes nods to Movie “It” and Imp •In the party scene, there are demons dressed up as Freddy Kruger and a Sailor •Also at the party, there is a couple of succubuses that cosplay as Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn •The party is a reference to “Scott Pilgrim v The World” movie •There be a Real life version of Blitz Plushy being lit on fire 😅 •At blitz time the table using the table cloth is a bit of a detail being the main colors like the show name •If you look closely at the sticky note with the Blitz Cake, the note say it’s from Queen Bel So there might be more reference in this episode but those are the big ones I can notice so far. I might miss some but I like to share the ones I know so far. 😅 So next episode is going to be interesting with it coming out in October and named “GhostFuers” but during the meantime. So during the meantime some more Helluva Shorts are coming for the moment of the full episodes coming months later. Keep an eye out for them during monthly updates or releases.

As much as we want closure for Blitz and Stolas, maybe they need a break from each other to grow. Stolas should explore his feelings now that hes free of Stella, and Blitz should focus on healing and learning what its like to love.

So many reviewing this complain about lack of closure, of course there isn't closer, this is the middle of Blitz's character arc! You don't end the story in the middle. There's still a way to go before reconciliation. Blitz has to grow as a person, Stolas needs to date people other than Blitz.

Stolas claiming he’s never looked down on Blitz is BS. He hid his face at Ozzie’s and it wasn’t till after he broke up with Stella that he actually started to want a romantic relationship with him. Like during the rescue at the nerd facility he said “Who dares threaten my impish little plaything”
Him hiding his face at Ozzie's wasn't him looking down on Blitz but Stolas being ashamed of himself. I understand Blitz not getting it from his pov, but I'm surprised now many viewers don't get it either. Stolas wanted something serious even before kicking Stella out, he just became more aware and decided about it after Ozzie's. The "impish little plaything" comment in Truth Seekers was disturbing, yes, but it was obviously just to scare the humans, like, he went all "darling" on Blitz and was worried about him as soon as he turned to him. I do agree there WERE times Stolas (involuntarily) looked down on Blitz (in Harvest Moon Festival for instance), but the examples you're giving aren't the best in my opinion.
So…just to call it out. I think Stolas is a hypocrite from season 1. And that’s fine but the show has to recognize he’s being one too. The reason for the breakup between the two of them not communicating was on BOTH of their poor communication. Not one. Stolas wanted more in the relationship but never communicated it to Blitz and didn’t give him a chance to understand what was happening when he gave him the choice. All of Stolas’ big conclusions and efforts were AWAY from Blitz. And all Blitz really had were the wide variety of their 1st interactions which were JUST about Stolas seeing Blitz as his plaything and he would humiliate him publicly, ogle openly in front of Octavia, and let’s not forget him dirty talking so much Blitz would rather break his phone, blend it, have Luna eat it and crap it out off a highway bridge. (Not canon but you get my point) It’s like Stolas only did the research on what Blitz was going to do and not how his position added to it. That being said, the Verosika situation was something I was NOT ready for. I genuinely believed she had to be a high level problem to Blitz at some point. But we gotta see that 1st. Right now she on the point of HER experiences is more or less correct…other than celebrating with every ex out to spite Blitz. There’s SO much there we need to see more of.
The fact blitz is just sleeping around when he has a daughter and even if people say none of it was when he was with stolas what about Denis in season 1 and based on Luna's dialogue before and even if that doesn't count since it wasn't sleeping he also slept with Chaz but i think blitz did learn and i am excited for episode 10 of helluva boss and seeing if stolas keeps that guy. This episode also made me remember how blitz didnt tell stolas about striker the first time also i cant believe how first sad stolas is and second how good his VA is to portray those emotions so well. So many reviewing this complain about lack of closure, of course there isn't closer, this is the middle of Blitz's character arc! You don't end the story in the middle. There's still a way to go before reconciliation. Blitz has to grow as a person, Stolas needs to date people other than Blitz.

Not that I blame him, but with his low self-esteem, I still think he'll hate himself, especially if he did more with the other one than just kiss.

Stolas claiming he’s never looked down on Blitz is BS. He hid his face at Ozzie’s and it wasn’t till after he broke up with Stella that he actually started to want a romantic relationship with him. Like during the rescue at the nerd facility he said “Who dares threaten my impish little plaything”
Him hiding his face at Ozzie's wasn't him looking down on Blitz but Stolas being ashamed of himself. I understand Blitz not getting it from his pov, but I'm surprised now many viewers don't get it either.
Stolas wanted something serious even before kicking Stella out, he just became more aware and decided about it after Ozzie's.
The "impish little plaything" comment in Truth Seekers was disturbing, yes, but it was obviously just to scare the humans, like, he went all "darling" on Blitz and was worried about him as soon as he turned to him.
I do agree there WERE times Stolas (involuntarily) looked down on Blitz (in Harvest Moon Festival for instance), but the examples you're giving aren't the best in my opinion.
So…just to call it out. I think Stolas is a hypocrite from season 1. And that’s fine but the show has to recognize he’s being one too. The reason for the breakup between the two of them not communicating was on BOTH of their poor communication. Not one. Stolas wanted more in the relationship but never communicated it to Blitz and didn’t give him a chance to understand what was happening when he gave him the choice. All of Stolas’ big conclusions and efforts were AWAY from Blitz. And all Blitz really had were the wide variety of their 1st interactions which were JUST about Stolas seeing Blitz as his plaything and he would humiliate him publicly, ogle openly in front of Octavia, and let’s not forget him dirty talking so much Blitz would rather break his phone, blend it, have Luna eat it and crap it out off a highway bridge. (Not canon but you get my point) It’s like Stolas only did the research on what Blitz was going to do and not how his position added to it.
That being said, the Verosika situation was something I was NOT ready for. I genuinely believed she had to be a high level problem to Blitz at some point. But we gotta see that 1st. Right now she on the point of HER experiences is more or less correct…other than celebrating with every ex out to spite Blitz. There’s SO much there we need to see more of.
Don't worry, Viv mentions in the description of this episode that Stolas isn't exactly self aware yet. His time will come as well, just wait
The fact blitz is just sleeping around when he has a daughter and even if people say none of it was when he was with stolas what about Denis in season 1 and based on Luna's dialogue before and even if that doesn't count since it wasn't sleeping he also slept with Chaz but i think blitz did learn and i am excited for episode 10 of helluva boss and seeing if stolas keeps that guy. This episode also made me remember how blitz didnt tell stolas about striker the first time also i cant believe how first sad stolas is and second how good his VA is to portray those emotions so well. Day 16 of asking for you to react to epic the musical.

Unpopular opinion but I hope Blitzo does apologize to Stolas and let's him go. Or at the very least, they just stay good friends. Stolas deserves so much and a toxic relationship isn't one of those things.
