Just recently found you page, iv owner a 09 vstar since 2015 and it is my first bike and love it, I have fully rebuilt it after a freak accident in 2017 and have since done my own maintenance, I have just for the first time completed doing valve clearances myself using your video. I find your style very easy to follow and I have always done the cardboard thing with the bolts from when I was in auto body repair work. Thank you for great video's, I will be doing my clutch in the near future and also following your video for it 👌👌👌
Wish you would have mentioned that it makes a difference on the direction of the metal plates and the fiber plates need all notches lined up! It would have saved me from having to take it apart twice! Other then that it was helpful. Biggest lesson? I'll stick to flying airplanes and let the bike mechanics work on my bike.
Thanks for the video brother I have a 650 and it's been dying on my when I have the clutched pulled in at a red light or a stop sign is that a clutch problem or a carb problem?
Just put on 12" ape hangers on my 2004 Yamaha Royal Star Venture 1300. Every cable and brake hoses and cables are about 3 or 4 inches short. What stuff do I buy and where?? Help I wanna ride. Thanks
@@fly1063that's where mine is at now. When it's cold I can feel it slip a little here and there. And if I jump on it from a stand still it's sluggish for a second. Looking to do the clutch this winter.
Thank you. Honestly, I was abit intimidated to do the clutch before you showed how truly simple it is...

Pacific coast star should have cable kits
Hi we have done the same thing as your video but now when we put the bike in gear it don't go anywhere any idea what it could be
Did you ever figure that out?
🤟🤘♥️
How many foot pounds of torque for the bolts
Spec says 7lbs
How many miles are typical for clutch life on this bike?
I did 50 000km before feeling the need for a new clutch (about 30 000 miles). The clutch was still ok but felt a bit like on/off.

That was too easy! No adjustment, timing, or alignment to fool with just SLAP-AND-GO 🦅🫶
