    Mate this video is great thanks a million Ive just gotten my first VStar 650 classic and been riding it a couple of months now, Ive just put new handlebars on it that are a bit more comfortable position and been having trouble with clutch slipping, amazing how slightly changing the height or width of the bars can make a big difference in the clutch

      @vindog6781 I would have to measure the, I know they are 1 inch and come off a Harley Davidson maybe an inch or 2 taller than stock vstar bars .

    -Thanks for posting this! It is very helpful. I have a dumb, really dumb question. Is this procedure to adjust the free play of the clutch lever? Or is it to adjust where within the clutch lever's movement (after it's engaged and no longer in the free play) that the clutch begins to put the bike in gear? Or both? My bike free play seems fine but I think it isn't getting in gear until I let the lever almost all the way out. I am wondering if I need to do this to fix it, or actually open up the bike.

      @AnthonyFishervlogs  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Down by the engine adjustment is where it will adjust when it engages and up by your lever will adjust the free play

      @@AnthonyFishervlogs OK, great. I am going to do these adjustments on my bike. My clutch just feels a little off right now and I think this will fix it. Thanks again for the how-to!

    Love the video. After this was done did you notice your clutch engaging sooner with the lever? Thanks

    I think this issue with the clutch also causes overheating.

  • @Raven44
    @Raven44 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Do u know how to make it so it engages sooner? Mine doesn't grab till it's like all the way out. I'm used to clutch engaging like half way

      I would have to do a video on it do u have play in your lever ?

    I guess it’s normal for that bike, but at least you now have a property adjusted clutch bro.

    That doesn't adjust your clutch, all that does is adjust when you clutch engages and disengages. A clutch adjustment is done in the actual clutch,in the clutch baskets

    • @AnthonyFishervlogs
      @AnthonyFishervlogs  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Idk how anything inside the clutch is adjustable it's just plates and springs that get torque to spec iv replaced clutches before and never adjusted anything in the basket

      @AnthonyFishervlogs  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I see Harleys have an adjustment I'm not doing that till maybe next time I change the oil and I'll see if mine have it. Iv only done dirt bike and are clutches

    You did not adjust your clutch all you adjusted was your clutch cable. I have the same bike. It has an adjustment inside the basket. There's a little Rod that pushes the ball that you have to adjust

    • @AnthonyFishervlogs
      @AnthonyFishervlogs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good to know. I just watched a video and that's how they siad to do it. Was called 60 second clutch adjustment
