What's the difference between a stream deck and macropad? I've had my stream deck for a while and I love it, but the keeb builder in me wants a macropad, but I'm having a hard time justifying another item on my desk 😂
I'm highly annoyed that the keyboard space has become so... unfunctional. 9 keys? Like who do you think actually needs a macropad? I need macropads for a finance job and currently use 3x MaxKeyboard Falcon 20s with custom keycaps. It's alright. Are there any good smaller batch macropads with a larger number of keys? One of the limiting factors for me is that it doesn't seem to be a valid solution to just use autohotkey workarounds, I need to be able to directly map the keys to a macro (the base keys for autohotkey to work off of simply runs out). At least the Falcon has software that hardwires the macros into the actual keypad. That's such an important part of a macro pad imo. I probably missed some badass 20+ key macro pads with a workable arduino interface though, wondering if so.
There definitely are a lot of macros with tons of keys! One of the new models that is the Work Louder (pricey) and you can get even smaller 40% ortho keyboards and just rebind the buttons. I personally use 3x3 macros for streaming though :D
The packaging is nice, but I'd rather either spend more money on a nicer product, or spend less on the same product instead of paying for a fancy magnetic box.

You don't need software working in background. Only for set up.

what's the difference
the ratio is very big. a relatively big creator like alex can provide lots of money in marketing for treasure, while alex just gets a macropad
