I find it interesting that the military had the Jeep first, before it was really popular with civilians. They slowly got bigger & more armored. The next generation seems to be huge even compared to the Hummer. Now they are getting what is basically a modernized version of the original Jeep
Yeah but these are much faster with a better ride, and way better handling. They do need these in some aspects as the newer versions of the humvees are much bigger.
Same thing happened with motorcycles. It wasn’t until the military bought mass produced Harley Davidsons for ww2 that they got popular after the war. I got a pic of my grandpa on a Army Harley in Germany in 1945. He said he never saw a motorcycle until he joined the Army. After he got home he rode motorcycles his entire life until got to old to do it. My grandma even rode her own bike which was unheard of during her time. She was a firecracker lol
These remind me of the Warthog from the Halo video games. Oh the nostalgia for my teenage years of staying up all night with friends playing those games.
Yes. Canam run by c0mmies , while rusgangs aint f0cus on their manufactural job 《 TRUTH. Easymoney motif (they didnt even produce a nice ads for each products). I think southern state of usa did their ads really nice.
I want one of those side-by-sides. Very cool. The only problem is the electric version is troops need to move and can't afford to run out of power or sit around and wait 2 hours to charge their vehicle. I totally agree with them being very quiet to be able to get close to a target. I think someone or company has to come up with a 400 or 500 mile battery for these vehicles.
@MichaelArcAngel1028 Thats exactly what it's for. It's for transport only. You don't use it for normal travel. It's mobile, so it can be inserted via the air and used to cover ground faster than walking.
I don't know why the ARMY went with Polaris. Everything they make is crap. They should have went with Honda or Yamaha. Out of 7 Polaris I've had was crap. The most miles I've gotten out of the Polaris is a little over 2,100 miles. I have a 2008 Rhino with 20,000 plus miles on it and never have done anything to it but put tires and change the oil and drive the crap out of it. I'm a stone mason and I've hauled tons of stones in the Yamaha and also hual my firewood with it. It's been going good for 16 years. Back in the 1980 , some friends and I started Winrock ATV Club in Olive Springs Tn. We would get together so rides of around 100 people. And when people would show up with the Polaris ATVs we would always have to pull several of them back to their trucks...l know Polaris has came a long way but they still can't hold up to the Honda and Yamaha line
Out of curiosity - did the Nikola Electric ATV give it the name “Reckless” after Sgt. Reckless from the Marines? If so, that’s pretty cool. If not - well, they missed out on a marketing opportunity lmao.
The Polaris Defense models aren't. But I believe if you have a security company there's a loophole to get 1, my sister and brother in law used to weld the military models and they're so overbuilt it's crazy. And get this the military gave them guidelines to follow as far as strengthening the chassis and once they ship to the military they instantly get torn down and gone through and then they add any extras that the civilian market doesn't have access to. When I worked for Polaris we seen what happens when the military drops one from thousands of feet.
When I was in Moab I saw the 2019 jeeps drive down the road in the main town so I followed then they pulled in to a parking lot I stuck a GoPro out the window and recorded the jeeps the dude yelled at me and tried to get me arrested I’m 12
I can’t believe the Military would use Polaris 🤕. Every Polaris I’ve owned over the past few years had so many problems. Yamaha and Kawasaki for my family now.
Polaris and can-am is the rivals cause they are the strongest and most popular ones but military side by sides they should have war or not cause maybe to mean ch chaos
Just like the crappy light armor Humvee we were using in Iraq. Where will these be used? Their not armored, I'm guessing only for cantonment areas only. We have plenty of those about a thousand bases in 80 different countries.
Looks great for moving wounded and civilians back to protected areas but clearly cannot be considered part of any combatant package given the awesome mass involved in moving both soldiers and respective equipment. In theory great scouting vehicles depending on any off the shelf electronics suite available as mapping hardware, software and communications plus could be easy to dig in and hide as an ambush vehicle. Throw in a rocket launcher and could do some damage as a skirmishing weapon as possible...especially if a fully autonomous mode available. Great for mobility once the weather turns really bad as well as Russia has nothing to compare to this still stuck in Cold War era dogma and systems.
i mostly find light vehicles like these in Military environment get overloaded with gear, rendering them as useless as a dead donkey. Cool looking yes, military ? hmm nope, 2 man team yes ! computer guided ordinance yes... auto sniper from a laptop screen yes, as long as they can move fast and be something special, think outside the gear.kit box...

SMH, nothing here beats an original Jeep!
@@JohnnyRebKy People only buy AR-15 because the military uses it, it's a sub par weapon.

T Hawk That is awesome! Thanks for sharing.
I'm still afan..
I’d skip the Can-Am due to their horrible QC and electrical problems, but those Polaris SXSs are excellent!
Joseph Whiskey Beale electrical problem??
They're all crap.

If all their doing is ferreting things around a large FOB you literally can.
There were tons of Gators and Mules in Iraq. Haliburton had to be a huge customer for Kawasaki for several years.
they should make this video on a rainy day
Thats the last thing I would want to be in in a fire fight.

Casanave ing. From Perú, built the first one, with titanium, fullfill with antitank missile. Used for comando attack. Is named vatt lobo

Cool video! 👍🏼👍🏼
it still probably needs air for cooling. also waterproofing is based on seals thats why its only rated to 1 meter for 30 minutes
The military converged on jet fuel at some point. I think they're going to stop dropping vehicles as much as they do now.
Dope if we had these on QRF
Should have mentioned the engine specs on all the vehicles..for more information
for recon, needs light armor, clocking!

Anyone know the name of the song playing in the background?
For reliability I think I'd rather have a Yamaha or Honda in the field. Wouldn't have to worry about being a sitting such changing belts.
br ly that’s a cam am thing
Yeah like a 30 sum hp honda will handle all that payload
I think the range of ev aren't up to par just yet, only one way to fuel/charge I could find fuel a lot easier than a charger.
When American generals go golfing...
What about protection? A gun battle is no safari tour.
These are not really for CQC but to get to the fight or mission quickly. Some are also setup for javelins.
Recklace is only 1 I God would by driving new tech solutions w/military spend & we hve big heavy covered 100 times over.
Perfect for zombie apocalypeses.
