I love this kind of stuff man, loving the progression of the channel too you guys are really on to it with the editing and keeping the pacing going. Those spark plugs are absolutely shot, and given the amount of rusty cracked piping i'ma say you saved this GT from the scrap heap 100%. Yes I was screaming "it's used!" at the gear oil coming out clear haha, but i went through the exact same thing when i first change my tranny schlube, i guess everyone does. What you need to level up now is a "waste oil burner", they're quite popular at the moment with heating/electric prices going through the roof, and the amount of free heat in these used oils is pretty substantial. I'm pretty confident that if you make a video "free waste oil burner using only OEM Subaru parts" including engine oil haha, you'll get a lot of attention for the channel ;-) If not, well at least you'll be warm :P The gear oil is the same as the rear diff oil btw, so if you have any spare its probably a good time to change that too, although frankly thats also a huge PITA because you need some huge square socket bolt thing to get er off. At least nothing will be living in it though :D All the best!
Thanks for still watching and supporting the channel! I'm planning on keeping the GT for awhile and hoping to do bigger things with her. So gotta keep her in tip top shape! The sparks were completely gone, she stalled out on me the night before. She's running a lot smoother now. Yes newbie mistake with the gear oil but decided to keep it in showing I don't know everything! Haha the rear diff I've already done, just lost the footage. I actually was thinking about a used oil heater since this time of the year I could really use it! Maybe later it will be on the channel, thanks for the suggestion! :)
i need help im looking at a subaru legacy 2.5gt limited 2005 with 130miles on it and it has the code p0011 and p0022 and im not sure if that is bad enough to where i shouldn't buy the car this will be my first car and im fairly new to this car stuff
I personally wouldn't recommend a subaru with a turbo as a first car. They have to be maintained properly to make them last. I'd suggest getting a non turbo model instead. I've personally lucked out with my Legacy GT but every now and then it will feel weird or make a noise and I get stressed out thinking it's broken. Never had that issue with my 06 Impreza wagon 😂
