It's precisely men with these traits that made me check into Islam. I loved watching them bow before ALLAH in humility, I thought it was the most beautiful sight I had ever seen.
I'd never seen this in Western men.
The modern Western ideology is narcissism and psychopaty which is the exact opposite of Islam.

Excellent speech. I love how YQ explains that rijaal is not in competition with women but other males. Spiritual discipline, protecting your fellow believers, and being caring and loving are qualities of all real men and women. Screaming, shouting, and being aggressive is being highly emotional. The problem is that people don’t see anger as an emotion. Healthy humanity is the solution because everyone needs to worship, protect, be emotionally intelligent, and show others kindness and respect.
Yes, you nailed it with this comment! And closely related to that sentiment, I have been complaining to my friends for some time that the idea of male standards/ masculinity becoming the what women compete with is actually quite insulting to us. Why do I need to achieve what a man does to prove myself? Are my feminine ambitions not enough? Am I less because I’m not like a man? The irony of it is almost comical. Especially when it came to the sexual freedom movement… women should get to be promiscuous just because men already were? Why would I want to lower myself to reach their standard? Lol.

Our men today are fighting their women to pay 50% of the household finances. And their ibadah is very weak. May Allah guide them

What does Ibadah mean? Some women make twice what their husbands make. Some make 1/5 of what their husbands make. Western culture require duel incomes. But the contribution to household expenses should be scaled to match their income ratios. If she makes 1/5, then she pays 1/5 of expensive. But, really it depends on the couple. Some women say they’ll pay the food bill, but he pays everything else.
So true! So many of our men are very demanding of their "Islamic rights" but completely ignore the rights they owe to their wives, children and families!
Stop using your brain !
They wouldn’t do that if women didn’t need to work. If women didn’t work this wouldn’t be a need as the husband would take care of the wife. But due to our economy and society where being middle class and living recently requires 2 incomes, the woman needs to chip in.
This is the best lecture on how we should be as Muslims, for men and women. Our youth are in desperate need of strong Muslim leaders and role models! Shaykh Yasir Qadhi is one of these positive strong role models and Alhumdulillah for him!

I also love the explanation of gender roles changing depending on time and culture. In my culture, men and women share in the financial, child rearing, and household duties equitably. It doesn’t make the woman any less feminine or the man less masculine. Both parties are working together to make the household run harmoniously.

Excellent advice regarding the over emphasis on physique. There’s practical benefit to having strength, but many young men today are just obsessed with appearance.
Young men, instead of wasting all of your time at the gym, go and get a good understanding of basic physics and mechanics. As in, how levers work; how gears work; what are the fundamental types of machines; how to use power tools properly; how to do things and how to make things.
Get practical knowledge, so that you understand how the world around you works, and so that you can repair or build things for yourself, without always being dependent on other people. This will serve you much better in life than wasting hours staring at your muscles in the gym.

" لَمَّا قَدِمَ مُعَاذٌ مِنْ الشَّامِ سَجَدَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَا هَذَا يَا مُعَاذُ قَالَ أَتَيْتُ الشَّامَ فَوَافَقْتُهُمْ يَسْجُدُونَ لِأَسَاقِفَتِهِمْ وَبَطَارِقَتِهِمْ فَوَدِدْتُ فِي نَفْسِي أَنْ نَفْعَلَ ذَلِكَ بِكَ ؟

The Hadith is authentic and actually says alot more than that like "by the one in whose hand is Mohammads soul a woman does not fulfil her lords rights until she fulfils her husbands"

I liked the lesson until he ruined it in the end by saying and that's how a woman can control the man. No one should have control over the other but mutual consent in treating each other with dignity, love and respect.
