I have been listening these seerah lectures for six or seven years. Sometimes every day sometimes every week nonstop. As my wife tells: "Yasir(his voice) has become a member of our family" :)
Haha my wife has been complaining. I started with the Sahaba series, then the mothers of the believers and now on the sirah. This will take a while.

Subhanallah; 2 months ago i decided to start this Seerah playlist, and it has been very beneficial. Wallahi it has acted as an antidepressant for me. I try to forget every tension, problem, stress and try to go deep into it. During any problem I try to remember that i have to listen to seerah and just the thought of it relieves my stress. Allah swt has put something we can't understand in seerah of Prophet Muhammad PBUH. Wallahi guys I can't explain my feelings while listening to it ❤️❤️

Subhan’Allah I’m already on part 21 🥲 This series has been crucial for my Emaan and Love for Prophet SAW ♥️
In 2014 I was able to attend an Islamic Extensive Studies program called the ALIM program. Though I had been Muslim all of my life there were many things I stilled didn't know about my religion. Or I didn't know the specific names for the knowledge I knew. There I was introduced to the Seerah studies and because I am so picky about who I study from especially when it comes to the internet or "Sheik Google" the is the only video series I trust to listen to when regarding the subject. May Allah reward you in this life and in the next for expanding and sharing your knowledge. It has been so beneficial for my healing as a Muslim. Learning the Seerah has allowed me look at my religion in a more humanistic manner and makes is easier, simpler, and relatable to practice. Insha'Allah when I began traveling again. I would love to come visit you at your masjid. Ameen.

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I saw Moses, Jesus and Abraham (on the night of my Ascension to the heavens). Jesus was of red complexion, curly hair and a broad chest. Moses was of brown complexion, straight hair and tall stature as if he was from the people of Az-Zutt."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، أَخْبَرَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " رَأَيْتُ عِيسَى وَمُوسَى وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ، فَأَمَّا عِيسَى فَأَحْمَرُ جَعْدٌ عَرِيضُ الصَّدْرِ، وَأَمَّا مُوسَى فَآدَمُ جَسِيمٌ سَبْطٌ كَأَنَّهُ مِنْ رِجَالِ الزُّطِّ ".

SHK so true, he or her is going to her own paste, that’s why he said that he is taking notes. I didn’t take no note while I was listening mine but I regret it now. In Shaa Allah I’m going to start over one day. Taking notes is very good.

It is mentioned in surat Maarij, chapter 70, verse 4 in the Holy Quran what
means "The angles and the spirit will ascend to Him during a day the extent of which is fifty thousand years".
It means that the distance between the earth and the Siderat Al Muntaha is 50000 years in the reference frame based on the earth or 1 day in the reference frame based on the Siderat Al Muntaha.
To calculate the distance between the earth and the Siderat Al Muntaha, one has to assume two things:
1) A year as mentioned in this noble verse refers to a period in the fabric space-time between the earth and the Siderat Al Muntaha;
2) The angles and spirit travel at the speed of light from the earth to Siderat Al Muntaha.
The first assumption allows us to choose the wavelength of the so-called primordial gravitational waves reprinted in the cosmic microwave background radiation as a period in the fabric space-time, and the second assumption allows us to convert the distance given in light-years to the distance in meters.
It is important to note that the distance between the earth and the Siderat Al Muntaha is 50 Billion years in this context.
Following this approach, one can calculate the distance between the earth and the Siderat Al Muntaha as follows:
d = 50000 in years
d = 50000 × lambda in light-years
d = 50000 × 10^6 × (12 × 30 × 24 × 60 × 60 × 3 × 10^8) in meters
d = 4.665 × 10^26 meters
Where 1 lambda (CMBR) = 1 Million light-years as the astronomical unit or as 1 period in the fabric space-time between the earth and the Siderat Al Muntaha and 1 light-year = 1-year × c = 12 × 30 × 24 × 60 × 60 × 3 × 10^8 in meters as the distance traveled by the light during 1 year (1 revolution of the earth around the sun).
Allah Akhebare to my surprise I find this value of the distance between the earth and the Siderat Al Muntaha is in perfect agreement with the value of the radius of the universe as expected by the cosmologists.
This coincidence is because the Holy Quran is a book from Allah and the Noble Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) is the last messenger of Allah.
But only Allah knows best.

The events of Isra' and Mi'raj with the shortening of prayer times from 50 rak'ahs to 17 rak'ahs are proof of the concern of Rasulullah SAW, proof of the power of Rasulullah SAW's intercession to Allah, proof of the benefits of Rasulullah SAW's intercession for his people in the world, even more so in the afterlife.

Difference Between Samawat and Jannat
The Samawat are skies essentially and there are 7 of them, each of which is stacked on top of the other, in a layer like format. Our entire Universe is part of the first Samawat aka Samawat Ad-Dunya. The Jannat is Paradise and there are many layers of them which, are in-between the 6th and 7th Samawat. The Jannat are on top of the Samawat.
Al Isra:
Al Isra means the night journey which, the Prophet SAW took from Makkah to Bayt Al-Maqdis in one night. Wal Miraj means the ascension which, the Prophet SAW took from Bayt Al-Maqdis to the Heavens. The Al Isra Wal Miraj occurred 1 year prior to the Hijra and it occurred after the year of sorrow. It was a real journey that the Prophet SAW undertook and not a dream. This has been the consensus of the Muslims for 1200 years.
One day when the Prophet SAW was lying down at home, Jibreel AS came and took SAW to the Hateem to pray 2 Rakaats. Then, Jibreel AS came and opened up the chest of the Prophet SAW and washed the heart of the Prophet SAW for the second time in SAW’s life. This was done to prepare the Prophet SAW for what SAW was about to see. Then Jibreel AS brought Al Buraq which, was a white physical creature that was very fast and then the Prophet SAW rode Al Buraq to Bayt Al-Maqdis.
The Prophet SAW after arriving there, tied Al Buraq to a post that was in the unseen realm. Then the Prophet SAW entered the original Bayt-Al-Maqdis and prayed 2 Rakaats which, again was in the unseen realm. In the Masjid, the Prophet SAW then led all of the Prophets AS in Salaah, as the Imam of all of the Prophets AS. All of the Prophets AS stood in one long saff behind the Prophet SAW. Furthermore, it should be mentioned that all of the Prophet AS, were in their spiritual forms with the only exception being ISA AS, when this happened. After the Salaah, Jibreel AS brought Prophet Muhammad SAW two things, wine and milk, to choose from, for the sake of SAW’s Ummah. The Prophet SAW chose the milk which, caused Jibreel AS to say you have chosen the correct one.
Wal Miraj:
Jibreel AS then took the Prophet SAW and ascended before eventually, asking permission for the doors of the first Samawat to open. There the Prophet SAW met Adam AS and they greeted one another. The Prophet SAW then went to the 2nd Heaven, where he saw Isa and Yahya AS and he greeted them. In the 3rd Heaven, the Prophet SAW greeted Yusuf AS. In the 4th Heaven, the Prophet SAW greeted Idrees AS. In the 5th Heaven, the Prophet SAW greeted Haroon AS. In the 6th Heaven, the Prophet SAW greeted Musa AS and as SAW was leaving, Musa AS begun to cry because of the fact that, the Prophet SAW would have a larger Ummah than his. In the 7th Heaven, the Prophet SAW greeted Ibrahim AS who was leaning against the Baitul Ma’mur which, is the Kabah of the Heaven’s.

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh, these are my notes on Sheikh Yasir Qadhi’s Seerah series.
Please note: I HIGHLY recommend that you all watch YQ’s Seerah series, as I DON’T cover every single detail the Sheikh mentions. I made these notes primarily for myself but, decided my fellow brothers and sisters may benefit from them too. I no doubt will have made mistakes in my notes. All the good in these notes is from Allah SWT and all the mistakes are from myself. But, I was very meticulous and tried my best to make sure everything is accurate as the Sheikh mentions it.
You also will see I have added “Fun Trivia facts” under each of my notes. These FTFs are information YQ said that was off topic or not necessary to include in my notes for the episode. But, they were still worth mentioning hence the inclusion as FTFs. FTFs aren’t always HAPPY pieces of information. Sometimes they are very sad trivia. I just want to say that FTF is the phrase I used for them all collectively when making the notes.
One thing I wanted to do but am too lazy to do is, maybe someone could take the FTFs from under each “Episode” and make an Islamic reminder/information IG/TikTok account and post them daily or something. Could be a great form of Sadaqah Jaariyah.

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:
Regarding: 'And We granted the vision (Ascension to the Heaven "Miraj") which We showed you (O Muhammad as an actual eye witness) but as a trial for mankind.' (17.60) It was an actual eyewitness which was shown to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) during the night he was taken on a journey (through the heavens). And the cursed tree is the tree of Az-Zaqqum (a bitter pungent tree which grows at the bottom of Hell).
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ {وَمَا جَعَلْنَا الرُّؤْيَا الَّتِي أَرَيْنَاكَ إِلاَّ فِتْنَةً لِلنَّاسِ} قَالَ هِيَ رُؤْيَا عَيْنٍ أُرِيَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لَيْلَةَ أُسْرِيَ بِهِ {وَالشَّجَرَةَ الْمَلْعُونَةَ} شَجَرَةُ الزَّقُّومِ.
