And with his marriage with Arwen, the dilution was lessened to a certain extent, as the two broken lines was restored. Aragorn was descended from Elros Tar-Minyatur the 1st king of Numenor, twin brother of Elrond, the father of Arwen Evenstar. To add to this, Aragorn and Arwen both have Maiar blood as well from their ancestor Melian from the Blessed Realm.

Yes. Both those two namely Elros and Elron were actually sons of Earendil who once rode a ship named _Vinginot_

Long ago, the Numenorian kingdoms lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when Sauron's forces attacked. Only the High King, uniter of the Realms of Men, could stop them. But when Middle-Earth needed him most...he vanished. 3,000 years have past, and my kin and I have discovered the new heir of Numenor, a Dunedain named Aragorn. And although his fighting skills are great, he has a lot to learn before he's ready to lead anyone. But I believe...Aragorn can return as the King.

Aragorn marriage to Arwen not only reunites line of men and Elves , but Also restores the blessing of long life back to the Numernorian blood to become even longer , as the immortal Elvesih blood mixed with that of men extends the life of the Dunadein even longer , like back to the days Elros and his line

In a Deleted scene that's on the extended edition of The Two Towers, Aragorn mentions there are still some of the Dunedain left

Yeah, i find that scene quite amusing, Eowyn looking so shocked that there are some Dunedains left, considering that Eowyn herself was partly Dunedain. I think her grandmother was daughter of prince of Dol Amroth, and princes of Dol Amroth were one of the purest remaining Dunedains. There was actually quite a lot Dunedain in Gondor still, Denethor, Faramir and Boromir were pure Dunedains, practically all Dol Amroth, People from Anorien and Ithilien. In movies they acted like all dunedains are gone except a few remaining in the north.

Wow this strengthens the “ return of the king “ understanding for me ! Wow he was more than what they showed in the movie …. He was made to be important and from royal stock heir to the throne but this right here …. He was truly the one ! lol And The elven race knew it ! Nor resisted it . From what I gander he was royalty and of elven race both on that side ??? What a hybrid individual! Forgive me … my mind is just blown , cinema could never do justice to the books and lore .

I always wondered who he was and the race he came from. This really helped explain it for me.

Sadly, their distinctive Numenorean traits would continue to dwindle throughout the Fourth Age. His son Eldarion and (unnamed) daughters would receive some boost from having Arwen as a mother. But as part of the gradual "normalization" of Arda into the mundane world we now live in, the Dunedain would be assimilated into the population of middlemen. As had already been happening with the line of the Stewards in Gondor.

Maybe if they quit wandering so much and had kids it wouldn't be a problem.

Overly repetitive script makes this video low quality

    • @TheLoreTeller-LOTR
      @TheLoreTeller-LOTR  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

The script is broken up into sections which answer questions that ultimately contribute to the question of the video:
Was Aragorn truly the last of the Dúnedain, or is there more to the story?
How did the proud Dúnedain, descendants of Númenor, become scattered and diminished?
If Aragorn wasn’t the last Dúnedain, why is his role so crucial?
Who were the Rangers, and how did they protect Middle-earth in secret?
What about the Dúnedain of Gondor? Were they still a force in Middle-earth?
How did Aragorn’s leadership change the fate of the Dúnedain?
It might be clearer on my part to include the questions at the start of each section of the video so it doesn't seem like the same point is being repeated just to answer "Was Aragorn the Last of the Dunedain?" - thanks for your feedback.
