Shamgod1987 In my humble opinion, the '89 suit seemed better. The plating was cool on the Returns suit, but the '89 suit had that muscular look that was very intimidating. Also, the Returns suit made Batman look leaner than on the '89 movie.
I found the figure on the shelf at one of my local TRUs. It didn't come with the movie though when I purchased it. So I thought they were just selling it separately now.
I like the 8-bit version but love this one! Thank you NECA! I was in Toys R Us once and saw the Blu-Ray but not the figure. Eventually I went to eBay to buy both, but the right knee joint snapped off probably due to the cold weather. Like with the Toy Biz version back in 1989 I had to buy a replacement.
Great review PD. This was truly, a dream come true figure. I just hope they'd let them do more movie figures in this scale, because Neca gets it right.
Believe it today 8/2/15 i found this figure at a toys r us in kansas city mo. It is an awesome figure. I already had the 8bit version and never figured i would have this one but there it was. Last one and the card was nice too.
I'm going to have to look for this figure on ebay because I'm planning on doing a recreated display of Batman vs Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with the 7 inch figures that had released at GameStop.
I have this figure, but the ears don't stand straight and the articulation is very stiff. I wish it had a better cape, too. Would like to use it in an animation, but those things I'm griping about are affecting my decision. Anybody mod or fix their figure?
I have the 12inch Michael Keaton Batman Figure. Which looks really cool you know. Out of all the Batman figures the 12inch Michael Keaton Batman is the Best.
Hey Dan, are you aware of any bootleg versions of this Batman?? I just bought one off Ebay and mine is in clamshell packaging with the hands and weapons displayed. It looks identical to the one you reviewed and I also own the arcade version (which is legit) and identical again. Just curious. Thanks
Best Batman Design of all time...... the only real movie Batman! Dark, comic and real scary look! I wish we will get a Batman movie - without Bruce Wayne and more detective style like the animated series
I love this figure, but I don't care for the cape. It just feels cheap and I'm afraid it is going to shred and tear in the future. I would have rather had either a rubber cape or something instead. I do love that I can drape it over his shoulders though. I actually had an unopened 89 Batman too, but I donated it to Toys for Tots this past Xmas.

It's not very movie accurate. It's got *WAY* more articulation than Michael Keaton ever had in that Bat-suit. The Toy-Biz one is more accurate in movie articulation. :p

It's just the head that has the movement that Keaton wished he'd have on the suit. Everything else is superb!
