Are you saying I should’ve showed what happened at the very last second before I was ready to leave? Let’s just say don’t drill any new holes for screws that are stripped out. 🤦
Hi Rick I have one of the Olympia carts as well and I agree not super heavy duty but wow it’s very handy to bring all your gear in and out of the job and takes up a small amount of space in the truck. I would definitely be interested if they offered an upgraded model with better wheels and load capacity. Thanks again for bringing us along on the service call!!!
The top has a little hole busted in it. That’s why I put piece of sheet metal down on it and one of the edges is starting to crack, but it works when I use it, which ain’t very often.
LOL, I was about to smarty comment, the "service receptacle probably doesn't work anyway", when you popped the whole cover off and as it turned out, it didn't work. 🙃
fata morgana, is the visual mirage, distortion you see when the cold refrigerant interacts with the warm atmosphere and causes the light refraction to change
Someone at the factory had a bunch of big caps and plenty of time to braze em in 😅. The smoke alarm could potentially get a person washed down by the FD😊
Awesome video Rick. I recently picked up the Ambro kit. Think I am going to get the precision set for it. Going to mainly use it on reaching and some smaller stuff. Been messing with the oxygen PSI. I know per the manual they want the oxygen set tp 60 PSI. F4om what I have found I can set it around 40 PSI and still get a good fla,e with good heat. Seems to Las a little longer also.
I run that torch, same brand. Honestly goes pretty well, it's nice and light. The oxygen-acetylene set our company uses runs the real big bottles and is strapped to a hand trolley. You can get those oxygen and MAPP bottles at any wholesaler over here, some offer bigger oxygen bottles (you chew through them way quicker than the MAPP). It makes the kit a bit bigger and somewhat unbalanced, but it's manageable. I always just keep a spare bottle of each in the ute so I never run out.
Union Carbide used to make MAPP gas, they stopped back in 2008. So, that touch set runs fine on a MAPP gas substitute?? The substitute gas is related to discontinued MAPP, it isn't the same stuff. My guess is the torch set uses MAPP substitute, Or, is real MAPP gas still available in Australia? Who knows, there are differences between the two products. Most users won't be bothered by the differences.
The full name that I mentioned on the bottle is the name they told me it uses. I can’t remember exactly what it is but technically as you mentioned, it’s not just regular map gas. It worked pretty good and I guess it can do up to an inch and a half for the manual that I didn’t read. 😁
I haven’t priced the oxygen tank, but it’s built super heavy duty so it can’t be cheap. And how can you just throw away something that heavy. Why not make it refillable?
@@HVACRSurvival no worries, we like your work, with real world slip ups and all. none of us are perfect by far. the burns on my wrist and fingers are almost healed. lol replaced a water heater and multiple valves a week ago (yeah copper sweat work), and dry towel wiped the hot joints, then kept bumping into them while still hot, flux cleans up better when hot. gloves and long sleeves are for cry-babies. 🥸 I don't do near as much plumbing as I used to, but sure not scared of it! the press stuff would be nice, but the whole job I did last week, was all tight quarters and only five or six joints of about forty would work due to tool not fitting anyway.
Mapp and MAP pro are not the same! they changed the mixture and map pro is far worse then the original MAPP. Its more akin to propane now. The old stuff was great.
All GoPros after the Hero 5 suck , but the 10's and up seem to have the chronic overheating problems. I have one of the original Hero (2014) models and the only issues I have are the original batteries. I bought Wasabi replacements that work well.
Getting jobs handled. Showing real world work. Knowing what you're doing and how to get it done. Love it Rick

@@HVACRSurvival 😆. This job can humble us from time to time.
I thought about showing it but you know the risk with the Edward.Paul.Adam (total accident.)
@@HVACRSurvivalYou’re definitely not alone

Thanks for your support and feedback! It’s appreciated!
Not fun in data rooms Rick, top notch work!
Another vote for the cart - got one in the home garage.. comes in handy versus floor storage. Your back will thank you later on
🤜🤛👍👍
I have that same cart and really like it. Had it for 3 years and it has held up good.

I ended up finding the breaker turned off later. This video was over an hour and a half long. I had to chop it like crazy to get it down in time.
Rick, I enjoy watching !
I learn something new every video man. Keep up the good work sir
Thanks, will do!
I also love using those rose buds. Nice job as always!
Thank you! 😊 I see you’ve been posting some more grocery videos. I’ve been checking them out👍👍
@HVACRSurvival Yes Sir. I appreciate it brother.
The fatigue of a service tech is immeasurable
Great job Rick has always.
Great video. Thank you for sharing. Have a nice weekend
Thanks, you as well!
Excellent work rick 👍✌️
Thanks 👍
Great job 🎉
Thank you! 😁
Sweat, purge and roll

They sent me the small torch and nitrogen kit as well. I’ll see if it’s useful for small reach in coolers
@@HVACRSurvival good deal. So far I like mine.
don't nuke the tip/s by not having flame too hot/close to the tip.
As always, thanks for sharing!
Thanks again!
Excellent video!
down fall to that new torch is them special o2 bottles with your old one you can pretty much go to any welding store and get it filled
That’s a valid point, that’s reason why I didn’t just brag it up. I wanted to show both sides of the coin here.

Heck yeah
What’s up, Mac Daddy Johnny! Long time no see. How’s things going at work?
@@HVACRSurvivalI feel very blessed. Are you the lead refrigeration guy out there now? I see you have alot more of those videos now days.
@jonnymac31 I’m moving up. Starting to do more chillers and a lot of grocery. Plus the normal stuff I’ve been doing. I’m glad you’re doing good!
Good job Rick, yeah I think the cable tray next to the air handler was a jerk move, not going to defend other electricians crappy work........
I always thought Liebert wanted the ball in the sight glass to be halfway?
They do. It rose a little bit further. I had to recover a touch.

Small torch rigs can only be good for very small jobs I think .
The fact that they use a proprietary tank that's a bummer .

Who makes the cart?
Olympic
wet the viper rag first! most fame protector pads can be wetted and work far better that way. also carry a scrap piece of duct/tin as a shield.
I normally do Wet it. I screwed up.

That’s interesting, I noticed it doesn’t seem as volatile as what it used to be
This was a two man job
Very seldom that happens.
My GoPro overheated in direct AC vent and in windshield but in sunlight. But the AC was directly on it. GoPros suck

nothing easy about that project that's real world repair work every tool you own out
Rick, I'm disappointed with this video. You really gave me nothing to comment on...no snarkiness or anything....other than stuff being stupid. 😅
