This must be so annoying for anime onlys. Us readers had the chance to read and ride out the excitement without the constant barrage of expectations. Hope it lives up to the hype for you guys tho!

Fr! No offense to them but it's annoying imo. It's like Gear 5 hype, everyone's hyping about it makes the impact gone, unlike how we got Ultra Instinct for example, it really felt out of nowhere back then (because it is, but you get my point).
If the manga readers get that impact out of nowhere, then let the anime onlys experience the same thing. By you guys telling us over and over again to expect something big, it will only makes it worse, and I definitely saw that for a lot, if not, all of reaction channels I watched regarding this arc. And I know not all manga readers do this, but most of them did, so no offense to them that didn't.

I actually thought the last arc in season 1 was the best one! The character growth and dynamic in interacting with each other was absolutely golden

Ok so let me try to ease some of your concerns as a self-proclaimed jjk expert. As far as manga readers overhyping the arc, i actually read the manga because of the talk about the shibuya incident last year, and i had built it up to be this legendary life-changing moment that would blow me away. After reading it, i was amazed that a single arc could live up to such an insane level of hype, so while i 100% understand the fear of overhype causing disappointment, this arc exists in that space where no amount of hype can take away from how good it is.
The direction of the show’s tone and art style in season 2 is also a big fear for people because its natural to be wary of change, especially when the thing being changed didnt seem broken. The tone/ art of season 1 fit it perfectly, but the show takes a drastic tonal shift beginning with hidden inventory and continuing to this day in the manga, so the director change actually fits this switch very well, and i have a lot of faith that his vision will absolutely do the shibuya incident and subsequent arcs justice.
As far as people spoiling the big plot points of the arc: fuck those people

As anime only, I really feel the same. It does make me excited that's for sure, but then my expectations rises and I also expect something horrible will happen (which it does and I got spoiled for it by some childish manga readers who always thought they're better than anime onlys just because they know the story earlier than us -_-).

As a manga reader, the trailer and the hidden inventory adaptation makes me incredibly confident that the shibuya arc will be done well.

Love your insights, I will say this, going forward you won’t have to worry about jjk running into the problems it’s predecessors like Naruto run into where the story becomes so laser focused on the protagonists conflicts that most of its cast starts to lack that flair they had at the beginning, in fact till this day manga readers beg for jjk to be a more mc focused story, because the author loves to split the attention pie so much, so many great character moments, conflicts, storylines & growth for so many different characters during and after shibuya.

As a manga reader its been annoying just how freely manga readers have been spoiling and hyping up the next arc. I love Shibuya! But I don't want anyone to be let down or spoiled for it.
Jjk thankfully builds on its themes and characters so I think at the very least you'll like shibuya and beyond. Crossing my fingers that the animators aren't too pressed for the remainder of the season!

one point you missed or you can rather make a cool video about is still moments in anime like Gojo becoming enlightened by cursed energy of how the manga version will be more poteen because the voice and sounds are left to the readers imagination and the overall angles you can get not being restricted to the tv length and a guts going berserk manga panel will never hit as hard Evan given to mappa of wit studeos to animate because it was meant to be viewed as a still image holding absolute rage

Well, the first few episodes really helped me to lower my expectations. They explain way too much, and I barely care about anyone. I think this whole franchise is overhyped.
