I bought one new in 1978 on my 17th birthday it was petrol blue metallic I loved that bike looked after it rode the wheels of it 100% reliable and a lot of near death experiences Happy days .
That’s the first bike I was ever taken on as a young fella, about 12 yrs old. My stepfather, who owned the bike, then took me on a poker run that was held about 60 miles from our house, and we rode there, two-up, on that little bike, did the run and came home. Been riding ever since.
Saw one of these little gems yesterday at the classic bike festival in Bishopscourt Co Down, NI. The owner fired it up and it took me back to the days I owned one. Lovely wee bike yet.
Had one when i was younger, same color even, though mine was setup as an enduro with knobbier tires, we used it mostly off road on the farm in the early 90's 😊
Gt185 was easy to find in my country. But this 125 is rarely.. Great small bike with beautiful sound. I wish i can have one of this, ride it and park it behind my c70 😁. Great video by the way👍
I have to admit, this s a really nice bike! I was 18 when it was new. After not riding for 50 years, I got a 2018 V Star 250. Raven black. Torquey lil bike but bigger than this one.
@@robertmenghini.Lambomad You're welcome. I considered older bikes like this when I was on the hunt for one. I wondered about parts availability though?
it is beautiful I had a blue 100cc 1975 model I think it was,, as my first bike, had a lot of great rides, but also it made me learn how to maintain it was not 100% stock and got used hard by a 16-year-old, so I had to repair it now and then, but when it worked I loved it, still, miss it today, and it was the main reason I bought the 2020 Honda Monkey it is not the same but some parts of it remind me of my first bike :)
Gorgeous!!🥰 My first bike when I was 17 back in 1982 was a GT125 same colour but not as good condition N reg/1974 if I remember rightly. Originally my mate bought it & spoilt it, my other mate bought it off him stripped to the last nut & bolt then lost interest. I bought it off him in a load of cardboard boxes and built it back up again. Absolutely loved it 🥰 many happy memories with it. Lovely to see one in such beautiful condition
Brings back memories of my GT125. KJE 14P. Mine was crashed when I bought it, I fitted the bigger headlamp from the 185 and mag wheels. Fuel consumption never got much over 30mpg. I moved on to a GT250X7 which was certainly faster and handled better but never had the charm of the older Ram Air twins. Good times!
I had the AP50 in red & the GT50 in black. £175 for the AP50 back in 1978 & £400 for the GT250 in 1979. Probably £12-15k for both now - they were immaculate.
That my friend is beyond stunning, i had the GP100 when i was 17 and thrashed the hell outta it everywhere, ( it used to do 75 ) i think if i had the extra power that your bike has i would have probably killed myself.
New wheels/spokes, paintwork and then also just noticed some of those fasteners don't look original, also those clocks should be the plastic ones on the L model, those clocks look like they are from a later GP100/125 (the tacho certainly is) - So saying the bike is virtually unrestored is a bit of an exaggeration. Lovely looking example but it needs the original clocks.
if a man is deep in love with a maschine the words/description in this vid are a good @t the same bike and it is still love it as much as you do yours.not in this excellent shape though.anyway.keep it and do not sell it.and yeah.disconnect the oil tank.it is a problem these maschine had. mix the fuel yourself.will save you lots of pounds.or buy a spare motor if you do not.just in case.
Beautiful classic two stroke. A jewel! I had a '75 GT185. Loved it. My first new bike.
Mine too!

Yes they are so sweet!
What a fantastic ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT specimen, well done mate, keep hold.
Bikes from the 70's & 80's were more comfortable to ride with those thick seat than modern bike.
Had to sell mine in 75 to get married, wish I still had it I am sure it would have lasted longer than the marriage wonderful bike
They are great bikes, I have a blue one for sale btw
1975 I bought a brand new Suzuki 125 cc, excactly the same as in this film. Fantastic little bike, I wish I still had it around.
One of my favourite bikes ever! I’ve sold this now and wish I hadn’t!

Great bike
I had the rd 125 , I could out accelerate the gt125 but they always passed me on top end , lovely bikes and rarer than the rd,s
Yes they are great classic bikes, glad my video bought back memories for you.
Mengapa suzuki Gt tak d produksi lagi padahal 2 tak mudah petawatanya.
You should deflect the exhaust inward to lube the drive chain ... :o) Nice bike !
What do you mean?
@@robertmenghini.Lambomad He means that the smoke ie emmisions will lubricate the chain.
Better then a rd, i think so.
Thanks for watching my video, I agree, way nicer engine than the RD

how is the fuel and oil consumption? economical or wasteful?
Is ok, does around 45mpg
This bike for sale?
Sold now sorry
Maybe you could help me.l am restoring agt125. Trouble is when l removed the countershaft cover l cant get the clutch actuator to work
Sorry I can’t help you with this as I bought mine all ok
Once a common site along with khs and rds now all but vanished.
Yes they’re all in collections!
@@robertmenghini.Lambomad I had what is now rare as hens teeth an rd80lc on a b reg 1984 blue stripe on white.
I had one back in the 80s .can any body remember the gears. I think it was 1 up 3 down. Dont quote me on that I might be wrong.

I have the original clocks which is no problem
My GT125 had clocks exactly like that too
What code on the paint sir
Not sure of the code but it’s Candy gold. teamz650.com/fr/gallery/4/suzuki.html
Please don’t rev it while it’s on the choke...wait until it’s warmed up 👍
Point taken. Thanks again for watching my video. Rob
Can you please tell the color code?
I’m not sure sorry, try Google
CANDY TAHITI ORANGE. www.suzukicycles.org/photos/GT/GT125-brochures/1974_GT125L_UKsales_800.jpg
I know the color name, tahiti candy orange but no one knows the mixture. Blue has that color number and that they find.
