    The new 1000 lumen 20k candella Tlr1hl from streamlight is my go to light the sure fire only has 11k candella so for controlling your target you can’t beat the Tlr1hl

    Add the Picatinny wedge to get rid of the wiggle on the Glock

      What do you mean?

    • @jacobs.347
      @jacobs.347 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The surefire light comes with different crossmembers (wedge pieces) for different rails. When you receive the light it has the universal one in. Install the pictanny crossmember for glocks to ensure a snug fit.

    Does the A (out of the box) have any wiggle/play while on your Sig? I want one for my Sig M18 and was wondering 🤔

    • @northlanderco196
      @northlanderco196  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it’s tighter on the Glock without swapping any hardware. The Sigs rail gets better grip with some additional mechanical advantage. Still fine to keep on it, but I know everyone’s opinion differs on how much tolerance is acceptable. Cheers

    Do you recommend the A or B and why? The B seems like it’s more versatile, but I don’t know which one to buy. Thank you.

    • @northlanderco196
      @northlanderco196  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think it comes down to what you are going to put this on; A is recommended for polymer framed handguns, and B seems to go well with the metal framed handguns, or that was what I understood. Having said that, this light has sat on my G17 mostly, but been on my Sig MK25/P226 and also on standard picatinny rails and done just fine. I personally don't like the T-Slot design that is on the B models, and my four-ish year old X300 Ultra back home had a T-Slot, and broke the second day of shooting. Surefire was good to replace it, but I haven't had any issues with the Model A. I would buy a model A myself if I was in the market for another one.

    Question though, didn’t you find it weird that the batteries came in the light and not in the package slots for the batteries? That weirded me out.

    • @northlanderco196
      @northlanderco196  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      My camera died during round one, and I put everything mostly back to exactly how it came, with the exception of the batteries. Nice catch, but I am confident it is a legit Surefire. Attention to detail always matters!

    • @josephrizzo7500
      @josephrizzo7500 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      northlanderco that’s how my batteries came. I think I received a “open box” issue from amazon. $229. I just wish they were upfront about it.

      @northlanderco196  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It does, not sure if I hit it in the video, if you press the switch forward slightly, it hits on, and as you release pressure if turns off. Sorry for any confusion!

    • @northlanderco196

      Still a big fan, I like the brand altogether, but this light has held up well for the abuse I throw at the Glock it lives on. Battery time is decent for output.

    Is the part that locks into the rail plastic?

    • @northlanderco196
      @northlanderco196  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This model features a polymer/plastic interface. I haven't had any problems so far, on a metal or polymer frame. It is faster to attach/remove than one that has a set screw. I have a 300 Ultra that is more permanent on a P226 for this reason.

      @@northlanderco196 I checked the other components and they are the same. It still does not fit the frame. I cant find any info if this is an actual problem. But any other video on TH-cam shows no issues.

    • @northlanderco196
      @northlanderco196  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Bolt-yg1nk Really the only thing I can think of is your firearm is slightly out of spec, or perhaps you are trying to put it on a wrong gen model. I will give you the benefit of the doubt that youre not having that issue. The proprietary rails on the first and second gens wouldn't let this fit for sure. Do you have a different pistol you can try to put it on, or can you walk into a gun shop and pal around with a salesman about it?
