- Installation of a Screamin' Eagle Heavy Breather Extreme Air Cleaner on a 2024 Harley-Davidson Road Glide. This air cleaner is massive and in my opinion, really fits with the new design of the road glide. I installed this air cleaner along with Reinhart slip-on mufflers. I used the Screamin' Eagle Pro Street Tuner to tune the bike for the new parts. I can definitely feel a difference in power!
Disclaimer: I am not a mechanic, just a dude who likes wrenching on his bike!
I wish the aftermarket made an endcap for this filter set up with the heavy breather that comes stock on the low rider s models
Got the extreme wedge, it’s a good one👍
I like the look of those as well!
@@ICUon2wheels hardly any restriction at all, I think it’s not much different than having no filter at all.
I hit sub button👍
We appreciate it!
great upgrade does it come with a rain sock ?
Yes it does!
Great addition to your bike, it looks awesome. Do you need to do any tuning after install? I'm going to be installing the same exhaust on mine and like the look of this air intake. Just wondering if it's a "plug & play" or does anything else need to be done? Thanks
Thanks! I used the HD Pro Street tuner, which is extremely easy to use. Once plugged in, you use your phone to do all the programming. This way it helps correct the air/fuel ratios and such. If you’re changing the air cleaner and adding slip-ons, I would definitely go ahead and do a stage 1 tune so everything runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
Wonder if there will be any oil blow by in the intake? I was thinking about putting a little filter at the end of that hose and securing it to the top of the motor somewhere.
I’m not sure. One would think with the redesign, they would have found a way to mitigate the blow by. To be honest, I don’t have a full understanding of it!
it's vented to the trans cover just like a Trask vent kit.
I chose the wedge, but can still upgrade to this one. any difference in the two?
I was actually back and forth between the two! I was sold when I realized I was able to comfortably ride without hitting my shin on the snorkel. I’ve not seen any numbers to show a difference between the two, but I’d be curious to know as well!
Can you install the tuner without having to take it to dealer. Is this a complete do it yourself install or does the dealer have to get their hands involved too?
It’s all done via Bluetooth on your phone! Very easy to do.
Notice any power increase with the breather and tuner?
Absolutely. Definitely opens her up. Plus, you can create a custom mode based off the sport mode already programmed… increase the throttle response and the bike feels like an absolute rocket.
Is there a tune for that now
I used the Screamin’ Eagle Pro Street tuner when I installed it. Very simple, programmed it from my phone using Bluetooth!
@ICUon2wheels you're not in California are u?
No, we are in Kentucky!
comfortably breaking... ?
I don’t have any issues hitting my leg on the air cleaner like I did with the street glide st.
If Harley sold a sink Harley fan boys would buy it they would even say they have invisible air that is needed for the motorcycle and people would buy it.
And it would be $100/bottle 😂
I'd buy it🤪
i already ordered two, supplies are limited, i suggest you get one too.
@foxtrotwhiskey874 you can of course, mod it out too. Get them stock taps off for a start!😎
@@markhenry192 you know it!
