We took our Minnie Winnie for a shakedown trip after switching RVs, and let us tell you, it was quite an adventure! Despite a few bumps along the way, we're thankful for the experience and the opportunity to get everything in shape for our future travels. Thanks for following along on our journey! - Joel, Deb & 🐕 Maya
Gotta make sure that fridge can hold a six pack! 🍻 What a great state park! I would definitely send Joel to the over the cab space 😅 It’s always good to “have a guy”!! The neighbors there are THE BEST! We know that first hand!! Fun video guys! Those shakedown trips are imperative!!
Hi guys!! Glad you ended up getting a brand new battery atleast you took that issue off the table 😮 We couldn’t believe how many things went awry! 😅 You handled all the hurdles great though! Now it’s Alaska ready! 👏 🤞 ~ Rhonda and Stan
The question is, is Alaska ready for us??? 😆 This was a stressful situation, but nothing we couldn't handle on crap sleep!! 😆 love you guys & can't wait to see you!
Love the waterfall! Looked like a great hike!! Glad Maya could join you on that one! Poor Joel, you always miss out on the great views!! New RV, new set of procedures!
I think you guys had as many troubles as we had. It never rains unless it pours. Can't believe you left the RV plugged in LO.L. I totally think we will do that one day. I think a shake down trip is a really good thing. Safe travels. 😁
Joel had one outside job to do! 😆 And it was a comedy of errors! We are so blessed to be able to do a shakedown and figure it all out! We are looking forward to more Minnie Winnie Adventures!
Not sure, but most class C's have a switch on the dash like a white button . You can push that in for a few seconds to be like a jump starter to start the chassis battery. It connects the house battery and chassis battery to jump start.
You didn’t have a button on the dash of the Minnie to use the house battery to jump the chassis battery? We love being in our 38 foot Newmar. So much room. It even has a sleep number bed. That is a weird bed. Lol. That mirror is nothing. When I got hit by a deer I lost my drivers side mirror. For the some of the trip I had hold out a mirror out the driver door to see the traffic when I was coming onto a freeway or wanted to change lanes. Darci some replacement mirrors that attached to the window and door so I could keep both hands on the wheel.
@@RickandDarcirvadventures Wow!! Holding the mirror would be difficult and not fun! The bed in the Minnie is so small!! 😆 Glad you are loving your Newmar!!
A 12 pack of beer and a bag of squeaky cheese curds, perfect provisions for a WI road trip! Alaska sounds amazing, are tou going alone? Great video as always, thank you!
@@stuwardw We agree 12 pack and cheese curds from Wisconsin!! We are looking at caravaning up to Alaska with some friends. Do you guys want in? 2025!! 🙌
Are you saying we will have to have it inspected once we get to Alaska? And it is a 1999 Ford- and has brand new tires and just had an oil change and zero issues with the transmission.
Hey guys as long as u have room for a case of beer that's all that matter! 😊 That was a nice falls to walk to. I want to know if Joel did sleep up high and how that went? Also noticed that the outside of the mi niece Winnie was super nice had it been repainted or just really well taken care of? After talking to Chris and Katrina we are just gonna take the class A to Alaska! 😊 you guys did a great job handling all the little.issues your so chill and u made me giggle a lot. Joel did looked like he was super agreeable yes maybe fear of death! 😊
@@campinwiththeconfers It was okay and expensive compared to other companies for what you get while there. We would consider going back to one in a few years maybe.
@@WILDEBILL308 we decided last fall it would be easier to be smaller with no slides or jacks to do Alaska instead. We want to do more boondocking and a lot of the sites will not fit the Tiffin. We looked at flights up and renting an RV too, but buying the Mininie Winnie was the most cost-effective- or it seems at this point and so much to see on the way in Canada.
We used to fly everywhere and stay in hotels but you miss out in everything between. After buying our motorhome we’d much rather travel that way. House on wheels

The bungee cord was pretty funny. 😅😂
That was a fail 😆 - but got it fixed now 🙌
😂😂. What a comedy of errors. I feel your pain; especially forgetting the C-Pap. Oh, my, hand slapping the head, forgetting to unplug.
We are still shocked with the forgetting to unplug as it was all the outside had!! It was a comedy of errors for sure!!

Good video 😊 just saying 89 Ford you need a complete inspection tires transmission ect you get up in Alaska could be trouble safe travels

Joel didn't sleep on the above bunk bed at all. And the Minnie Winnie was just really well taken care of. Thanks
Glad you were able to get the hot water issue resolved. Did you find the missing piece for Joel's C-pap machine?
We got hot water!! 🙌😆 and the missing piece fell down behind our mattress by the headboard in the Tiffin!! Joel is safe and sleeping well now! 🙌😆😂🤣
Hm lurlock? I have two masks and some spare parts which makes the issue less stressful. I have had clip failure and lost lurlock.
We are looking into spare parts and he does have spare masks. Thanks
Great job on the fix. What a great hike and waterfall experience. How did the MW do towing the car? Thanks From Wisconsin
This is an amazing Wisconsin State Park!! The waterfall is still impressive!!
And the Minnie did great towing the car! Besides our mistake and the tow wires dragging!!
Nice state park! Sorry no hot water but it could have been worse. Side note - have you been to a Tiffin rally?
It could have been way worse and glad we got the hot water fixed! We have been to Tiffin Rally before!
@@ChasingOurSunshine how was the rally? Would you go again?

instead of 2nd RV, why not just fly to Alaska?
That would be like buying a motorhome but only sleep in a hotel when traveling
@witz224 It is so nice to just bring all your own stuff with! Makes a world of different & get to see so much!
