We so enjoyed Copper Harbor in the UP of Michigan!! 🎉 Thanks for joining us for date night! 😂 and Maya loved the mine tour!! Thanks for watching - Joel, Deb & 🐕 Maya
Date night looked like a lot of fun with a lot of good food and a few interruptions. 😂 I like the mine. It was great that they let Mya go in. I like the self guided tours. Safe travels. Lynn and Danny
I have to say thanks for bringing back the memories. We live in Michigan and visited this a few few years ago. We loved the area. They use to have a dump where you could go to at night and see the black bear.I will never forget my close experience with a black bear.
@@jackpalma3590 wow!! Some of the pictures we have from 1986 are of the Bear Pits!! We know why they are closed, but still wish they weren't!! Glad you enjoyed the video! 💙
That was a good trip I think you really wanted us to go on the date too. That place looked great food looked yummy and we just say NO to Beets!! Liked seeing the old family photos nice touch! The mine tour was cool it was great that Maya was able to go as well. That private area for the devils washtub place was cool. Thanks for sharing see ya soon!
We did really want you on the date with us! 😂 and Maya loved the mine tour and just wanted to keep going! I have no clue how my Mom found that devils washtub when we were there in 1986, but it was neat to go back and see again! thanks
So… were those OLIVES 🫒 in your old fashioned? 😝🙅🏻♀️ Great video - thanks for the tour! We will likely be in that area next summer so we will put some of those places on our list!
@@WildBlueWanderers Joel always has olives 🫒 in his drinks! I (Deb) hate them and so gross 😆 - but this area was amazing and we wish we could have stayed there a week!! Safe travels
What a great area. Love the restaurant, but I bet it was more than the $100 raise the officer asked for. I miss a good brandy old fashioned. Looked cute in y’all’s hard hats. 😂. Where was Mayas hard hat? 😂. I love caves. The Devils Washtub was cool, and glad your mom found it in ‘86.
Thanks for sharing this video and your experience. We love that area. We go up there scuba 🤿 diving for a week up there. Love the restaurant and the pubs in town. Did you go to the end / start of hwy41 ? Did you get to the top of the mountain? We cell service up there and great views too. Thanks From Wisconsin
We looked it up - Known as “Fanny” to her friends, Lucy was the sister-in-law of one of the officers stationed at Fort Wilkins. In 1844 she spent a summer at the fort, leaving quite the impression on the enlisted men. The men would end up naming the lake in her honor. And glad you could come with us on date night! 😂

Why was it named Fanny Hooe? We were laughing so hard at getting the business done on date night
