    Gotta trim the corner off the underlap, at the bottom of sheet, when installed at lower than 5 degree pitch.

    How do you put the barge capping ?

  • @elitevbman

    Regarding the drop down on to the wall, in a real world situation would you put something there to stop water getting in. If the gutter overflows inwards. Also if there is vertical trim deck on the walls, do you have a video which shows how to fit the gutter. Thanks.

    7:37 Why are the measurements off? Was the structure built incorrectly?

    When i screw these things down it wanders all over the place. how are you getting it to go in without it doing that? A better tek screw design? cheers

    • @MetalRoofingOnline
      @MetalRoofingOnline  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It is easy with the timber screws as they have a pointy end.
      If you use down ward force before you start drilling, it will put a small "dent" in the sheet which should stop the screw "wandering" when you start drilling.
      However, it is a little more difficult with the multifix screws, you have a have a really steady hand to control the drill which comes with practice.
      Best of luck with your roofing!

      @@MetalRoofingOnline ahh ok, I usually get the tek screws that have the metal cutting drill bit tip, I'll try the pointed wood screws in future, thanks for the tip.

    Is your warehouse located in Sydney? If i ordered material for a job on your online store, delivery to Canberra, will there be delays with transport from pandemic, or do you guys use your own truck+driver for deliveries. cheers

      @metalroofing7210 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Steve, we are not experiencing any delays with deliveries at this point in time. Victoria, Queensland and NSW inc (Canberra) are all 3 - 5 business days normal turn around time. Regards Darren, Metalroofingonline

    3:50 Both edges look the same. Why is the sheet on the left the correct sheet to overlap the sheet on the right? What would happen if the sheet on the right overlaps the sheet on the left?

    • @georgem8200
      @georgem8200 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Their not the same. Look closely, the underlap sheet ( left one) has an extra extension.If you put the underlap sheet on top of the overlap sheet R/H/Side sheet, it can hold extra water and dirt and cause it to rust alot quicker. Water on metal roofs can soak up wards easy enough if not done right.

    Overlapping is too short heavy rain with wind surely going inside.

    Micheal I've seen trmdeck with screws in every rise and alternate rise
    What do you recommend for standard roof pitch ? Please

    • @metalroofing7210
      @metalroofing7210 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Chris. I recommend screwing through every rib on the top on bottom battens. With the centre battens you may skip the middle rib screw and it would not affect the roof in any way

      Depends what your wind classification area is.
