Doubt it. BD was created and geared towards the Western audience. BD flopped hard in the Western market. Sega has abandoned any plans to further create BD games. Sega lost money on BD and isn't interested in losing more

It felt very much like an 80s blockbuster action movie, but with gigantic robots, that Japanese presentation and the Americans probably coming out as the "bad guys" overall, even though really the morality of many big players here is ambiguous to say the least. It feels like a game that was always destined to be a cult classic and nothing more, the kind of game that you would find in the discount bin at the supermarket and think is just another formulaic TPS but ends up having a lot of heart. You're right, we're probably never getting a sequel, but I'm sure we'll get another "Binary Domain" if that makes sense, an underappreciated gem
This game suffers from a lot of poor game design. The bosses in particular cheese you like it's going out of fashion and are terribly boring to fight. Then there are the quick time events.
*Warning Spoilers* -------------------------------------- Dude, I just got up to the part where you fight Fey after you find out her mum was a robot.... If you enjoyed fighting the bosses then I'm glad for you, but I found them incredibly boring. Any boss that you have to spend most of your time just waiting until it exposes it's weak point is very boring to me, and it seems the game designer was in love with that kind of thing. The one where you kill the giant robo monkey was particularly frustrating. It just keeps cheezing you, that heavy gun fires, and moves, sooo slowly but the boss jumps around like it weight nothing.... like I said, I didn't find it exiting at all. Sorry.

Hitting right spots to kill easily, seeing the scrap metal flying all around was too damn fun! First things first: For all people landing here, looking for the best ending - it is actually extremely easy and linear to get. You can even do so on any difficulty, don't worry. The important part is the trust. You need everybodies trust at max or near max (four "points" in trust ... which means at least 3.51 filled bars..). Here is how you do this: Churn out headshots, meele-attacks and multikills a lot, also several dismember-hits will help - practically speaking, this means that the shotgun is your best friend. Use it whenever you have a chance. As for squaddies: Use Rachael and Charlie immediately when you can. Do so until you enter the sewers. Then switch to Faye and the one with the higher trust (in my case Rach) - thiis will leave you to go and save Bo and "lowertrust" (Charlie for me). You can use a little exploit and kill almost endless enemies (here: don't board the elevator) here to gain lots of trust - use the shockwave a lot to kill groups. When Cain becomes available - switch him and whoever is now the "lowertrust" (now Rach in my case) in. You will gain Cain's and Faye's trust (close) to the max in the following chapters, as you are forced to have them at your side anyway. For maxing Bo, just go back and save his sorry ass from the leopard-robot right before the end. Shindo and the cop don't seem to matter, but can easily be maxed in the underground as well. Just shockwave everything forever. This way you also get easy cash. Handy. Obvious, yet important: try really really hard not to shoot your squaddies. THIS is actually the hardest part of the game, as they make a beeline for your LOF. Suicidal idiots. If you hit 'em - reload the checkpoint and scream at them. It will help. Sometimes. In the end - tell Faye you love her during her fight. Don't know if that's important, but it feels right. Now, go and save the world! =) Edit: There is also a trust-nanomachine that will let you built trust easier. Right before or after you speak to Mifune. I read about it, but never found it in my games. Not REALLY needed tho. Got this ending on my own without it and i'm far from a headshot-god, so you will probably do just fine.

Huh. It was always suspicious that Bo just...took it like that if I recall. Guess the writers couldn't find more convincing ways to make up different endings. Wished you don't have to do what you describe to get the best ending since that would just limit your play style.
U have to talk to all the villagers before u go see mifube. A guy will sell u something for 500 credits and call u a sucker. Thats the trust nanobot. 5 percent trust it adds
As I remembered, Cain got controlled by enemy signal when I played. The fact that he shakes off the control in this ending means he probably could assess the validity of his order too. I wonder what happens if I have max level of Bo's and Cain's trust, but not for all team members.

+Cruz Longoria Bo still defect to Dan's side but Cain got controlled by enemy signal and wouldn't show up. The one who jump in and push Faye aside would be Bo, so he would be too injured to contribute in the final battle and dies after the battle end. Yeah, I got that one, too.

@AntiZion That sounds tough man. I don't know the difficulty you did it on but i played on Survivor (the hardest i think) and the final boss fight was near impossible even with Cain, although compared to rust crew it was a tad easier since i actually had Cain helping and tanking a bit.
Man, I'm a huge fan of RGG Studio and Binary Domain is pretty good! Hope somehow it can have a sequel because it really needs one. The world and the intrigue are great, characters are great too and the combat is fun

Except they aren't actually one-liners, because the other guy responds with his own and starts a round of one-liner tennis. Finally, after a short novel's worth of words, someone does something half heartedly and the cycle continues.
Yep, the cutscenes and the gameplay live on separate dimensions. The robots can take a hundred shots at one moment and be destroyed with a single bullet at amother. Not to mention they had the whole squad under giant robot sights and didn't open fire, neither did the squad shoot the exposed pilots.
I played this years ago on PC and PS3, and only recently found out there's a "better" ending, that's why I'm here. problem is, it's easy to miss out on 'cause it requires building a high level of Cain's trust/loyalty. I remember there's an NPC in the underground market (before you meet Mifune) who sells the loyalty boost mod if you talk to him and accept his offer. and I sure do remember that squadmates tend to walk into your line of fire, which is annoying and lowers the trust level
If y'all still playing the campaign I recommend staying back most of the time until the AI team suggest a plan then say yes and wait until they do it to gain trust easily and during combat always go for shoot and smash it one of the easiest way to get trust point with the chance of like 1 or 2 kill unlike the other ones with require kills with perfect accuracy or multiple targets always goes for Rachel and Charlie early on then bo and Cain when he appear

The game tries to portray this as something horribly bizarre, but... its not? Like, if they'd never been told of HC, they'd have no issue with them. No problem would arise except when they decided it was one. The writer just took a conflict/drama ball, put it in the characters hands and duct-taped it their. Its a problem for the sake of having a problem.
Eh IDK. The way I interpreted it, that's what the game is supposed to make you think about. There really IS no difference between the Humans and the Hybrids, which only makes the former's instant revulsion towards them, and the IRTAs final mission, ridiculous. It's not a a "problem for the sake of having a problem" per se, rather it's there so that the player realizes how stupid the Humans are in their assessment, to raise the question of what, other than origin, separates them from the Hybrids.

Shindo's fate is left to the players discretion, i mean it'd be obvious that he died with all of the the Yoshiki failure hollow children (since his rifle is crap and his bond), but he could technically survive as long as he kills the Yoshiki hollow children or survives until the rust crew destroy the main computer which would ultimately deactivate all of the failure hollow children in a sense. Officially most/all players believe he died in the garbage pit but if we ever (talking the impossible here) get a sequel it may be confirmed/changed
Just finished the game and didn't get this ending. I really thought a twist was going to be a hollows child. They kind of joke about it and the fact he is known as the survivor. Turns out I was wrong, or at least it never got a sequel to prove it.
In my head… and heart… Dan and Faye get married and wait it out until more progressive laws are passed that allow them to be left alone. They have a 1/4th robot baby and name it little Bo. The sequel will be little Bo fighting some kind of new evil
High trust 4 box in menu no need to be maxed (although it really easy) go for head shot and smash or later on just go hipfire and smash since smash has a really high chance to gain trust head shot are not viable since you need to destroy them to get the trust
just beat this game and it has the typical sega/japanese technical touch of shit to it but once i got past all of that it was really great, shame it didnt do commercially better

What's weird for me is that I had Bo's trust level maxed out but he still died in my playthrough. Caine also wasn't in my ending either, he ended up betraying me and just disappeared after that. This game was ok but had a lot of bs about it.

depending on the trust level, the outcome of characters differ. Cain never switched bodies, his bodies was compromised, but if you max out his trust, then he can come back.

I just finished the game with a bittersweet ending and it ate at me way more than I expected it would. Watching this to sooth the pain.

High trust 4 box in menu no need to be maxed (although it really easy) go for head shot and smash or later on just go hipfire and smash since smash has a really high chance to gain trust head shot are not viable since you need to destroy them to get the trust

that part is the same regardless of what initial ending you get
just beat this game and it has the typical sega/japanese technical touch of shit to it but once i got past all of that it was really great, shame it didnt do commercially better

What's weird for me is that I had Bo's trust level maxed out but he still died in my playthrough. Caine also wasn't in my ending either, he ended up betraying me and just disappeared after that. This game was ok but had a lot of bs about it.

depending on the trust level, the outcome of characters differ. Cain never switched bodies, his bodies was compromised, but if you max out his trust, then he can come back.
