Thank you for saying so. It was a lot of work adding that footage and I almost didn't do it. It was so old that it wasn't compatible with my editor so I had to convert all that video footage first before I could use it. I am glad someone said they liked it.
Why I'm leaving a comment is you seem to be the guy most interested in the history of the area. Family was going that road back in the early 60s, in a four banger Scout, probably wasn't 15 people in Phoenix that knew that road even existed. Once Lake Pleasant became a regional park, we'd have to do verbal battle with the gate guard that "we're taking the "back road" to Crown King". Man, the look on their faces. Best quail hunting in the state at that time back in there. If you knew where you were going. That left turn at Oro Bella use to go to Tunnel and Tiger mines and you had access to Savoy and Mascot mines. Not the easiest roads, that was back in early 60s. Oro Bella: use to go in there when the old hotel was still some what intact and the "safe house" you could still go inside. Found an old ore car buried in the dirt with just the corner sticking out and tons of old mining equipment. To think men brought that in by mule teams. Fort Misery: use to be an old cowboy line shack there, it had a windmill and corral. We hunted off horseback and used it as base camp. There was an old "cooler" built into the mountain side we used to hang the deer, . Rode that whole country over to Copper Basin, Lane Mtn, etc. At Lane Springs we'd water the horses. Burro John's: before you got to FM there was a big flat area, the Forest Service maintained a pretty nice house that the family of the guy who maintained the road (kinda) stayed there. We called him Smokey, never knew his last name. It had tack room, corrals and a road grader. Old mine entrance just south of his house and we tried to go in it, got about 3 steps inside and heard a rattlesnake, never went in again. Kids! There was an old guy and his wife lived back in there and he pan for gold, had an old wheelbarrow with his gear and rusted 22 single shot rife. Once he had enough gold he'd WALK to Rock Springs and buy supplies and WALK back. When I'd met him he was no spring chicken. Humbug: use to go down in there and picnic before they closed everything off. I think the last time we went guys where illegally mine in there and not happy to see us. Well enough story time. There's more.
Must have been some severe weather to change the landscape😄

Do you have an app or a video on how you put your speedo info on the footage? Thanks
