My black 89 Supra's paint was so far gone that nothing was going to fix it, I had to opt for a new paint job. I like those rim's, are they 16, or 18 inch and they'll really stand out with drilled and slotted break disks.
Nice video. I'm curious why you jumped all the way from polish to the ultra cut compound. There are many stages (fine cut, medium cut, etc.) in between. Either way looks great
Mainly because the paintwork overall was still quite rough. I made a huge improvement, but there were still chips all over, terrible front and rear bumper and missing clear coat on the hatch. For my current MK3 (Project Ookii Ao on my channel) I would go to those lengths. It'll be a show-quality paint job if I can help it. For this 90 though, it was just a sales preparation.
I have a question. It's not relevant to this video. I was following along your guide to replacing the instrument cluster's factory bulbs to LED and I noticed that even with LEDs, most of my dash still retains a yellow-green tint. Why is that? Here's a pic of it: imgur.com/a/hwsGT I'm planning to upload a video of this based on your guide so you can also see how it's still yellow/green. I replaced them with "Natural White" and "Cool White" leds from superbrightleds.com.
Jonathan, that's exactly where I am with the 91 that replaced this 90. It's getting a new paint job (over most, if not all, of the car). I'll be documenting that in the coming months on this channel. It should be interesting...
Used same method on my supra it cane out amazing 👍

Those are 17" wheels. FNRC01 if I remember right. Love those wheels. One of my favorite wheel designs out there.
Well done. Gotta get that thing looking spiffy
I really wana try this

Yeah its satisfying getting the car nice and shiny.... sadly the only shiny part on my car is just about my hood....
Poor paint. Sigh... i hope this isnt your side job. 😢
Poor paint? Share your wisdom, no need to cry! ;)
