  • The Viper Remote Start is a very popular upgrade for any vehicle, especially during the winter months. Also popular is the belief that remote starts are only for automatic transmission vehicles, not true. In this video we go over the simple steps you must do to activate the Viper Remote Start before leaving your vehicle.

My Viper is blinking seven times suggesting that it is in manual mode, but I have an automatic car. So how do I do the reverse to get it into automatic mode?

When exiting the vehicle to enter 'remote start ready' mode and the vehicle shuts off, does it lock the doors? Do I still have the opportunity to open the rear door to get stuff out the back?

Will this work on 2001 f250 manual transmission? If so, what deters someone from stealing your vehicle while engine is warming up?
    Thanks in advance

So am I to understand that you won’t be able to just start your car right away? For example when I first wake up I can’t just push the start button and find my car running, or do I always have to do those steps before remote starting the car?

Do the 5 prep steps when you are leaving your car at night, the next morning you can hit the button on the fob and it will start up.

Will keyless entry function normally while the vehicle is running on remote start? Also what do you do to drive away once in the car?

The keyless entry will function normally and independently. If your car uses a key ignition, put the key in and turn it to accessory and you are ready to go. If you have a push button start, once the key fob is inside the vehicle tap the start button once and that's it. If you push the brake in first, it will shut off the car immediately.
