    I have a 2007 Infiniti G35 sedan 6MT.. is a Compustar remote start system using the factory key fob to start the car compatible? Approx cost??

    • @AnthonyJ350
      @AnthonyJ350  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Some of the Nissans allow for 3X lock but it probably work best with the new key fob. Cost can be anywhere between $600 to $1,000 depending on features and which remotes you order with the system.

    Does the viper system have inputs that I could maybe tap off of the in gear sensor on the transmission? On a Mazda the sensor is brought to ground in gear. As is the ebrake. So you'd have one closed ground and one open ground telling the system it's good to go.

    • @AnthonyJ350
      @AnthonyJ350  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      We're hooked up to the parking brake and foot brake in the video. There is a neutral position wire but it's the wire we hook up to the parking brake. The Viper needs to see the "sequence" in order to go into ready mode.

    On older Vehicles that don't require a bypass module , using a viper 5305v do you use green* (-) door input and violet* (+) door input , or just green * (-)door input?
    On the bottom of wiring diagram page, it states wiring with * Required connection for manual transmission vehicles

    HI, I need some help. I just installed a Viper 4806V 2way starter on a 2011 Yaris manual trans. I paired it with ADS-ALCA bypass. My yaris has a engine emobillizer. I think I made a few mistakes. Here are the symptoms after install. After I finished. I set up the ADS-ALCA bypass module as per instructions, key in, turn to on light solid and select 2way bla bla bla. All went good. Then I programed the tach wire, all good there. Then I tried to initiate the manual startup mode. Turned the car on, then put in neutral, then press brake and pull Ebrake and the remote sounds the tune that all is good as it always does, BUT, NOW when I take the key out the car it's suppose to stay on until I go out shut the do and hit LOCK, then the car shut's off and remote makes the sound similar to the activation sound but a little different, but not like BEEEP as in error. Could it be because these mistakes I made. This is my 4rth VIper remote start DIY install and second on a Manual trans and it's been 5 years since the last time I installed it on a manual.
    I also did not hook up the door lock wires correctly coming from the viper remote brain to the lock wires in the car. Viper shoots out (-) trigger through it's blue and green wires. Lock/unlock wires on the car are positive. I have the same needle light you have, hooked up to the battery in the engine bay. when I poke the lock/unlock wires in the car, the GREEN light comes on, BUT when I press lock/ unlock button on the door, the RED light comes one, SO they are a positive trigger. I will get relays and fix it. For now they sit like that. I just want to mention everything I left under question mark that need fixing. I did not attach clutch wire for clutch bypass. I dont think I need to since the starter activates before removing the key when I kit brake and pull EBRAKE.
    1. Starter wire from the viper remote start brain, I spliced it into the starter wire in the ignition. But I did not cut the wire. Should I cut the wire and then attach the starter wire from the starter to the ignition side of the cut starter wire?
    2. I have 2 ignition wires. I taped into the 2nd ignition wire. I thought it does not matter. How should I do this. Should I take the ignition wire from the starter brain ad make it into a T and tap one side into the ignition 1 and the other in the ingition 2

    Hi Anthony,
    I have a 2012 Nissan Sentra SER Spec-V with the 6-speed. I had a compustar unit installed on this car about a year ago, and I'm having a few issues. Firstly, only on a cold, wintery start (0 C or lower usually) my car will "over-crank" during the remote start, stop cranking, run for a few more seconds, and then shut off. Do you know what could be causing this? I took the car back to my installer and they said they reset the tach and the problem still persists. Also, my car does not always go into reservation mode (I have it setup to do so automatically after brake + e-brake are engaged.
    Thanks, your videos are always full of great info.

    • @AnthonyJ350
      @AnthonyJ350  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sometimes with reservation mode you have to do it slow, because the unit is always looking for it, so give it time to figure it out. If you're having issues with starting in the cold, check the health of the battery. If the voltage is low it will affect the performance of the remote starter as they're very sensitive. I would also look into upgrading the grounds under the hood to help.

I can promise remote starting your Wrangler with the top off during winter would be pointless 🤣 Same goes for the AC during the summer. The biggest issue is a lot of older Wranglers have manual door locks so you would have to spend additional time and money installing keyless entry because this system would have no idea if the door is open closed or even on the vehicle.

      @@AnthonyJ350 Would you be able to make it that way for certain models that do have neutral safety switch/neutral sensing switch/clutch pedal switch etc..? My vehicle is a 94, which is quite old, and I'm pretty sure from 1988 on, the manual transmission has had a neutral sensing switch/wire that you surely could tap into. It was on the transmission itself. Most MT vehicles have a clutch pedal switch also, which does the exact same thing as the neutral sensing switch. Sure some vehicles might not have a neutral switch on the manual transmission itself, but there's usually a clutch switch that must sense the clutch as depressed the send power to the starter solenoid. There's a whole lot of vehicles that could fit the bill for a very easy installation process. Very few, actually none off the top of my mind, have absolutely zero safety protocol for the vehicle to start with the transmission in gear, usually always like I said a neutral switch on the transmission, or a clutch pedal switch. If your vehicle doesn't in fact have it then you would have no choice but to do it the other way, as shown in the video..but regardless, wouldn't it be pretty easy to make a simple switch/lever or something that would be an easy accessory to the brain box and install that would work? I mean it's 2022 even if a transmission doesn't have a neutral switch, or the MT vehicle for some reason doesn't have a clutch pedal switch, with 3d printing and tech available this is a super easy concept to bring to fruition for that "quick and easy" setup for any MT vehicle..
