I could have sworn that Legato's death was swiped from Se7en, but even if it wasn't, my mind was still blown as there's no other scenes like this in other anime back then.

You're not wrong, but hearing Trigun called _classic_ is...
It's rough. 😅 I was 11 when this came out in the US, and it fundamentally changed me as a person. Even that young. (I'm autistic so I learned how to be a functional person through anime)
Great review! ♥ This anime is special, and I don't think we'll ever see anything quite like it again sadly.
    But hopefully we do!

Well Trigun came out when I was 2 years old so it felt like a classic to me haha. Thank you for your kind comment! Have you watched the new Trigun anime? Trigun Stampede!

It is Classic 90’s anime, aswell as being the Classic version of Trigun anime.

I can't watch this scene with out it making me cry a little.

Why is that? If you don't mind me asking.

I just watched a video by "Film Thought Project" on Sicario (2015) where they reference Carl Jung - "No tree, it is said can grow to heaven, unless it's roots reach down to hell."
Meaning a truly good deed/act must come from understanding/knowing true evil. In some instances you must lower your ideals and do what you think is wrong/goes against your morals for the greater good.

I completely agree. It's amazing how deep and serious Trigun is at the second half of the show.

Aside from obvious western post apoc, I see a lot of Noir elements in this show. love it so much.

What episode or character has the most Noir elements for you?

Can you please explain why? I'm not familiar with Space Cobra Adventure.

@@johnplaydown1975 similar red costume, wacky demeanor and left hand as a gun/cyborg hand

@@johnplaydown1975 you have to watch it. I'm sure you can find it easily (on TH-cam). I don't exactly know how true his statement is but it is a classic!
