For me the best moment is when Elias finds Barnes in the jungle in Platoon and the look of relief on his face when he realises it's a 'friendly' soldier instead of NVA. He has a huge grin on his face and then it closes up on his eyes, and you can see the smile fall as the realisation dawns on him of Barnes' true intentions. That controlled, precise acting is what does it for me and Tom Berenger is also incredible in this movie, as is the rest of the cast.

Willem spoke at my college graduation (UW-Milwaukee) where he went to college briefly. It was an amazing experience, I’m so grateful that he was able to come back and hear him speak!

At Eternity's Gate is one of the very best movies I've ever seen. If you can stand the goofy cinematography, I would highly recommend the film. I hear that Willem Dafoe even learned how to paint specifically for that role.
