Beautiful work! I find I can achieve a Matt pitch black background with two layers of faber castel Pitt charcoal sticks. Then one layer of fixative, then a final layers of Pitt charcoal for touch ups and one final layer of fixative. It saves a bit of time that way if you use charcoal that already has a binding agent in it. 😊

@@ariannejeri Thank you for replying... I'm getting started with art on a serious level now... Something that put me off from focusing on it before was that I took a lot of time completing drawings and felt I was a bit too slow. But... When you focus on getting details as accurate as possible, you cannot rush through it. 80 hours is a long time but the end result is Perfection!
