You have to be careful anywhere, i have to go to Chicago and i don't feel very safe there, i try to avoid Los Angeles and Houston, there are dangers regardless the country you are in.
hahaha Mexico City is safer than many US cities today: it doesnt have homeless camps or junkie zombies stumbling around. Mexico city stores also dont need to block good behinds glass to stop people storming stores and walking out with goods.
