I love mine. and also made one into fishing blowgun that is awesome ! if you need a quick meal just throw something on top of water and bream come up and ....pop you have easy food. but can be used for large gar and carp. I use 65 lb braided line. use a dremel to make broad heads into fishing barbs
I’ve had Big Bore for about 8 years. I’ve been messing with blowguns for over 25. One WILL have to sharpen the “razor” darts. Once sharp, they’ll work like a charm. I put one through a full grown sow raccoon’s chest. Complete pass through with over an inch penetration on a cardboard box behind her. The cap popped off and was handy for retrieval. Thanks for the video. Kids don’t know how lucky they are to be able to learn from a “how to” video instead of trial and error.

I saw a good review of the Cold Steel darts the problem with the large broadhead darts is they are made of very soft steel which deforms easily. I don't know why Cold Steel used such soft steel on their bigger darts. I actually like the FSFF .625 darts the best- very well made and razor sharp. Very nasty darts. I don't know if you noticed that the larger broadhead darts deform very easily although it may be a batch to batch problem.

I made one with 5/8 electrical conduit , can't be shipped to my state , but they will ship darts... I find cutting the large broad head shaft in half gives me a better fly
I think if I were target shooting at jugs I'd glue the fletch on or the damn steel will end up in your lawn mower tires. At least if the orange cone stays on you might be able to find the dart in the yard.
I have the Tim Wells Edition and an assortment of darts. Since I am able to, I am going to put the time in with mine. I am dizzy from today's session. I'm no hunter, but it'd be a pretty amazing achievement like this.

@Noah Wells lol oh. I have been training with my Big Bore for awhile now. And I practice karaoke. I'm getting a strong diaphragm these days. I've read that .50 cal is the most accurate and practical blowgun caliber. The Big Bore doesn't get old though.
I have not made one myself but I guess it would depend on the skill of the person making it. For $59 I am not sure I would personally put forth a ton of effort trying to beat the design. It is very good in my opinion and I have a lot of fun with it. But anything on the market can be improved
If you had a decent pipe and mouth piece it would be the same. Ive tried with electric conduit and its really rough inside. It needs to be smooth. I found a 4 ft aluminum pipe for 10 bucks and a 99 cent pvc reducer that is perfect as the 2 piece 5' model is a little too lightweight and the pro model is too heavy. Just need the darts
Stronger in the sense of shooting power or the resistance to bending?? This blowgun is basically just a 6061-T6 Aluminium tube, in .62 Inner Diameter, not a common material you can easily buy. I can find it in my place, but you need to buy 20feet of it, not expensive, but too much material for me!

Not a lot of difference, my father in law and brother in law have that version. Basically just a little different grip. The Tim wells is just different color and comes with the large broad head darts. But you can order any of the darts online.
The tim wells edition only comes in a 2 pc. And you can buy an extension tube to make it 2 ft longer if you want. They are made 1.5mm thick aluminum. The professional series only comes in a 4 ft or 5 ft. They are 1pc and 3mm thick aluminum but you can't get extensions for the professional models.

Why are you telling people that the blowgun can be used as a walking stick, not exactly a good idea for keeping the accuracy as perfect as possible. There are videos out there with same advice . I think your giving bad information to people wanting to buy a blowgun

Use a strong magnet to find lost darts. The kind used for finding treasure in a river is perfect.
I actually went back and found most with a metal detector but the magnet is a great idea

I think it’s basically just different grips and it normally came with more assortment of darts. Both are a great option
Lucky for me I have the old school 5 foot professional 1 piece. They need to bring back the 1 piece 5 and 6 foot
when you put your darts in the keeper......stager them so they dont touch to.......it will save your cones from pushing together

It is a round opening you press your lips against the mouth piece. It’s very easy to use
