    When John Deere allows you to build tractors which are sold in their name, it's too shelf.
    So many city boys with ZERO experience/knowledge of tractors and their systems run yanmars and the Yanmar built John Deeres. Way over loading in every conceivable way, running far too hot, low/no oil, never service anything as it needs. Never replace worn out parts which leads to other parts wearing or failing.....and yet no one talks shit about Yanmar making junk.
    I have an 88' John Deere 1050 myself. Absolutely love it too death. A 750 would've been enough for some of what I do/need but you always buy the next size up. Have the model 75 FEL, quick attach Backhoe JD8. Yes the Deere models are simpler and closed loop hydraulics but it is the best 40hp tractor I've ever run to this day honestly. Growing up on a farm I learned young. Fel lifts 1400 pounds easily and the 1050 handle it excellent, 3point hitch lifts 2000 pounds easily and rolls around no issue. Engine power ALWAYS has more left in throttle lever/pedal travel, she does lug at times but surprisingly rare unless running say a big mower and going uphill in a high gear but that's why the operator is there lol.
    Excellent video man, with much needed content. We need more Yanmar tractor everything, hell my hydraulic pump is 11cc with 7.5 gpm, yet wtf are the yanmars???? Pathetic how little info there is on here.
    I have to ask, do you know how much your front end loader with those forks will lift? I have a severe Love affair for smaller tractors lol they really are the most useful by far, obviously you know what I mean.

    Hello ! I just joined your yantra tractor owners group. My 1500 D is a very strong machine for a compact tractor. Looking forward to using knowledge from owners on special projects on tractors. I recently bought a 4 ft grader box and am eager to put it to work.

    Is there a resource for buying Yanmar tractors ?

  • @davidolchewsky5365

    Thanks for making this video. One thing I noticed is that your new water pump (specifically the fins) are the same as an after market pump that I recently purchased. The problem, if there is one, is the fins don't match the OEM Yanmar pump that I removed. If you could take the impeller and flip it 'upside down' the fins would then match between the aftermarket and Yanmar OE part. Quite obviously the impellers on both seem to be mounted correctly from the assembly plant, but just don't match. Does this matter? I would appreciate any info. for future replacements. In the mean time I did find the same Yanmar OE part with same part number - and it does match (fins and all) the worn pump that was removed from my YM-187D tractor.

    Hey Mechanic, question for ya. I have a yanmar 220. Pretty much identical setup to yours. I have overheating issues. The overflow bottle has bubbles in it after the tractor warms up. From research i have seen online, people are leaning to a blown head gasket. The oil isn't milky and the fluid looks good. Water pump seems to spin fine from the belt. Any advice as to what to research first?

      @Phil Hall replaced head gasket. Same issue. I then replaced radiator and water pump. Fixed

      I did later. I think it just hadn't arrived yet. It's pretty much like the other thermostat assemblies I've seen.

      @@TheMechanicalPhilosopherI gotcha I've been working on my neighbors and its overheathing I'm trying to diagnose why. Water pump turns super easy but idk if the propeller is even attached and the thermostat might be stuck to so its rear down time today

    • @seanmccarthy1274
      @seanmccarthy1274 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also is the thermostat located on that manifold above water pump?

    • @TheMechanicalPhilosopher
      @TheMechanicalPhilosopher  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@seanmccarthy1274 On mine it's top front center vertical above the water pump and attached to the upper radiator hose. Also the radiator seems to be of minimal size for a hot climate. When doing heavy work on a hot day it will always run the temperature gauge over the halfway position and up to around 2/3. The new radiator performs the same temperature wise as the old. With the original radiator and screen it was very important to clean pollen and dust out of them frequently. The new radiator's fins are farther apart and i left the screen out. I haven't needed to clean it out yet.

      I couldn't agree more about the radiator size its laughable unfortunately this tractor doesn't have a temp gauge just a light so I will be cleaning out the hoses and testing flow through radiator

    Is that engine the yanmar 3T75U, which way does that fan blow or suck across the finns of the radiator, I have a 3t75 u in a yanmar 281 which keeps overheating.

    Hello Mechanical Philosopher! Very Well explained! I would twist this inclination to art work.
    Any way, I have a question for you. I am sort of new to YanMar... I bought two tractors: one 2210 (2WD) and one 2210D (4WD), hoping to make one good one from the two of them. The two have different issues, but have very good parts. The 2WD is beat up, but working OK, starts fine.
    I have an issue with the 4WD... When I turn the key, just click, click...
    - All in neutral? Yes,. PTO in neutral. Lift arms down.
    - Clutch held down!
    - Battery? No, battery is fine, fully charged12 volts.
    - Cables corroded? No. 12 volts on the starter. Swapped cables with the other tractor.
    - Starter, solenoid? No,. Swapped, starter with solenoid to/from/to the other tractor, both starters work fine on the 2WD.
    - Ignition Switch? No. Swapped ignition switches. They are OK.
    - Clutch Safety Switch? No. Jumped safety switch, and still only click, click...
    - Water pump or alternator stuck? No. Loosened belt, alternator pully and water pump fan turn freely by hand. and still click, click, with the belt completelly loose.
    Oh, wait... Did I try to jump start it? Yes, it starts with difficulty, turning very slowlly, then starts. You might think that the engine is about to cease... I don't think this is the case. Once started, it works OK.
    I know that I am going to kill the starter if I keep jump starting it.
    I also, tried what many do, which is not recommended, short the starter, I only get click, click.
    Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

      Did you fix the issue? If so, what was the cause? I currently have the same issue with my 2210D. Thank you!

      @@ouflyer2124 Try running a heavier wire for test purpose from #C on the starter key switch (Hoye diagram) straight to the starter. These are known to break down and give a lot of trouble. If this is your trouble you will need to splice in your clutch safety switch because it will crank in gear bypassing it this way which is not safe although older tractors didn’t have this feature. Bypassing the switch alone like the other guy did will not work because it is the wire not the switch that is the problem. Hope this works for you, it was my cure.

      @@ouflyer2124. Yes, after the long run-around, I found out that the problem was low amperage on the battery. A battery may read 12 volts, but low amps to start. Hey...!
