Final Fantasy: Evolution of Odin

This video shows the evolution of Odin in the Final Fantasy series all the way through to the latest addition in the series Final Fantasy XVI, there were a couple of instances in the series where Odin is mentioned however does not physically appear in the game and as such wont appear in this video.
This video features Odin's appearances in the main instalments of the Final Fantasy series and as such doesn't show any appearances from Tactics, Dimensions, Dissidia etc.

Not ideal I know but unfortunately the only versions of the games I can find to download are the more modern renditions of the originals and finding usable footage of the NES versions proved infuriatingly difficult, there are however some more evolution of videos in the works so when they drop be sure to check them out and let me know what you think

Thanks for the comment, I appreciate the feedback, I havent really touched much on 14 or 11 prior to that with them being more of an MMORPG rather than the usual JRPG style the series tends to follow, its certainly something Im looking at checking out and will look at including in future videos though!

He actually has 2 separate appearances. He appears as a randomized FATE event in the field, and as an 8 man trial battle in a side quest. The lore behind 14s Odin is pretty interesting. Both items are tied to A Realm Reborn, so you should be able to do them through the free trial version if you ever get a chance to check it out.

That deffinitely sounds like its worth checking out, I have been looking for a decent MMO to get into I think another thing that put me off FF14 was i always thought it was one of those where you needed a fair few people to effectively play it and unfortunately most of the people ive played with wont try it, ill deffinitely check it out in the future though so thanks for the info!

This video is poorly made by using the pixel remasters. This isn’t the “evolution” of Odin. Try again. But I do give you credit for creating content.

As ive stated previously, unfortunately finding playable versions or usable content for the original NES versions unfortunaly proved border line impossible at the time of making the video and even since if im.perfectly honest, i appreciate the feedback though and if you can provide a link or info on some sort of emulator for the original games so any future videos are more to your liking by all means pop it in the comments

Wish they made Barnabas the main antagonist and kept the whole GoT with SnK vibes FF16 had. So many underdeveloped things in this game in terms of story. His theme is amazing though

At the time I made the video I had only decided to use the appearances from the main instalments in the franchise hence nothing from Dissidia, Dimensions, FF14 etc. unfortunately at the time I did not clarify that in the description and have now rectified it 🙈 Future videos will however include character appearances from those titles and I plan on future content revolving predominantly around those specific titles so make sure to check them out when they drop and let me know what you think!

I get where your coming from with this, it does feel like the design is incredibly similar to that of the original FF7 Crisis Core where most of the other summons had at least some form of visual upgrade between then and now and compared to 16 the summon just doesn't really seem menacing at all, generally I enjoyed Rebirth but I agree on this point and I can understand where a lot of people's grievances with the game come from.

I mean...your not wrong 😅 but to be fair the whole series has gone down a more "cinematic" style for some time now, personally I quite enjoy it but I can see why it isn't necessarily everyone's cup of tea
