The best thing about summoning bahamut in the original* is that you get a free massage session with your controller's incessant vibrations! *Idk if it vibrates as much in the remaster
I remember knowing that you had to fight all of them at the end, so although I was apprehensive, Anima's power was too great to pass up for all the fights leading up to it. Also as an F' you to Seymour, by having his mom beat his ass.
FFX done summoning really well. Every time you got a new aeon was exciting. I remember thinking I had them all, but then discovering Anima and Magus sisters. FFXV had incredible looking summons, literal gods. But their use was implemented so poorly...wasted opportunity.
Why so poorly? If I recall correctly, summons replaced the entire party and they took their palce in battle. They became fully playable, Instead of being just a glorified attack or non controllable.
I agree I only wish they'd kept the summoning from ff8 (not the every part memento can summon let yuna be the summoner as it should be) but instead of having you control the aeons you someone then they do the move and they go again

I love Bahamut's summon. You can tell from everything he does that he is DA MAN (so to speak ;)). Casually cruisin though the clouds until he realizes he's need and rushes down, breaking sound barriers and even reality itself, as a flex, and when he lands he just stands there like "ok, boi, show me what u got".
when i first time saw ifrits overdrive ... Kay, he throw them with 2 super hot fire ball ... then what? now he shoot a Big Super Ultra Hot fire Ball to burn them ... Is he finish already? No! now he throw them A big Rock!!
FFX isn't my favorite ff...but it definitely has my favorite Shiva and Bahamut. The sheer mass of him...the way the ground shakes...and his design. Most majestic he looked imo. The way she throws her sarong...her overdrive...the Thanos snap...and her DESIGN! Her swag was on infinite! 😎
I like that they are different in every game They are kind of the pinnacle of the la'cie power in XIII and i love the "mech" designs for them, i also like all the summons on final fantasy XV, they are depicted as gods and i think that it was awesome, bahamut especially

Bahaumut being god of aeons and Shiva being STRONGER than Bahaumut and I mean Danm with Shiva and her power , she got her title as THE Ice Queen for a dang good reason . If we had to fight Shiva in ANY of the games to get her on our side we'd be goners for sure ( fighting her is like an end game boss battle obe of the hardest battles to win against). She is by far the most beautiful , powerful and terrifying out of all the aeons from every game. I am Soooooooo Glad that we get a summoner in games who happen to be our allies.
I have a question. When did you get the airship back? I'm trying to get all the aeons to get Yunas celestial weapon. I already have yojimbo and have beaten all of belgemine's aeons (apart from anima and the magus sisters which I don't have yet i need the airship to go to baaj go get anima) I just need to capture all the fiends on mt gagazet then get the airship to get anima so I was wondering when I'd get that back By the way don't worry about spoilers I've already played the game (the original) but I can't remember when you get the airship back. Different universes have different interpretations. The Aeons in FFX fluctuate based on the user, but once possessed, they are close to world ending threats so your mileage may vary. The Espers are also variable in that area where some like Belias can be subdued by the party, others like Ultima and Zodiark are intentionally jailed/kneecapped to prevent an uprising due to their power. Zodiark is noted to be a problem.
I always thought this games eons and temples were super creative but i just came back from a trip to India and Nepal. Both were obviously inspired by Hindu in temple design and even eons. Shiva is a Hindu Deity, just to give an example. Temples are very similar to hindu temples in outer structure and inner structure, hindu temples also have a wall with a carving of a deity just like the eons in FFX temples. Circle designs that appear when an eon is being summoned or doing a power move are inspired by Buddhist circular art/patterns.
Well...not, not really. The soul of the aeon is formed from the person who sacrificed their life to become a fayth -- the stone statues you see sealed in each temple. The soul of the person persists within the fayth, and is apparently fully conscious at all times, seeing and hearing through the corresponding aeons summoners call forth. What I think you're describing are pyreflies, whose connection to spiritual energy is ambiguous at best, but which are probably not full and complete souls themselves. The lore is pretty vague on what pyreflies actually are, but there is reason to think that pyreflies are more like condensed spiritual energy, rather than actual souls.
You can meet the fayth the souls of the aeons 1-Valefor was a female 2-Ifrit was a man 3-Ixion was a man 4-Shiva was a woman even though the real Shiva in folklore is male 5-Bahamut is a little kid but male 6-Yojimbo is a man 7-Anima is a woman and Seymours mom 8-The magus sisters are three females
ofc it can kill storyline bosses 😕 did that i dunno how many times in my first playthrough. it just happens rarely on bosses cuz they have a higher zanmato resistance :)

You gotta have a very high attack stat but even then, you need to break damage limit for 99,999 per attack
Ah well in the end you only use them to tank 1 hit from bosses.
