I love Alfriston with it's quaint shops and cottages, the village green and the Church sitting proud. Takes me back to our walk with Kevin and that amazing day we all had. Thanks Marq, hope the ankle is much better now 🥰
One forgets how historic Alfriston is as familiarity sometimes breeds a certain degree of not contempt as such but more of a taking for granted! The amazing thing for me about the church is that the bells are right in the middle of the cruciform church footprint so it must be amazing to be inside whilst ringing in in progress. Hope you made it to Lullington chapel!
Thanks for another amazing video Marq. It brings back some lovely memories. Mum and Dad used to run the Alfriston Art Gallery and I used to stand in for them now and again. The Smugglers and The George are great pubs. My favourite memory of the place is watching the grey mullet fish come up on the tide from the white bridge at lunchtime when the conditions were right.🥰
I can tell you are limping 😢. We are planning a trip back to Alfriston, on the Rambles walk we didn't really get chance to look at it properly. Be careful with that ankle, get it looked at Marq.
Another lovely video Marq. I well remember the Morris dancing and our previous visit with Kevin's Rambles. Thanks for pointing out all the fascinating historic aspects 😃
Alfriston is such a honeypot for tourists- but it seemed quite empty the day you visited! It is lovely!( I remember the video of you all on Kevin’s Rambles turning up at that hotel) I do hope your ankle was only a temporary sprain! Just needed time to heal! Thanks for a terrific walk- somewhere I have visited for a change🙂
Years ago the coach park was in a field accessed along that narrow lane on which you walked into the village. Was always a bit "hairy" driving buses and coaches through there. But a lovely village and always good to visit.
i feel sad about whats happened to villages once thriving communities and now just a ghost of itself like a Disneyland version. but just my point of view find it hard to watch without tears.
Another wonderful video. Many thanks.

Thanks Lynn, it is a special place.

Very interesting Jean, I didn't get to Lullington chapel unfortunately as I left a Night earlier.
One of the most beautiful villages in Sussex. Lovely to see it again. Cheers, Marq!
Thanks Mr Norris.
Wonderful place to visit, Has an old world charm.. The lay out reminds me of Rottingdean Sussex and a bit like Westerham in Kent.

I know what you mean but Alfriston still has much charm to it and retains that 'Village' feel I think.
