@Jaxtyn Brycen I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and im trying it out now. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
I just copped my bronze ones and I love em. They do what I need them to do. They sound so clear! I don't like that plugged up feeling lol Sometimes I open and close the case just to see the animation 😅 🙃
Why don't any of these reviewers get that the ANC on these aren't supposed to block out everything. They are literally only supposed to block out low-frequency sounds. It lets through higher frequencies by design. It lets you still hear people. THATS THE WHOLE POINT
@@CRXL no it doesn't. Its active noise canceling. The meaning is that it is electronically canceling noise. Any version of this qualifies. Samsung literally said what their ANC does during the press conference for the buds live... expecting something else is just stupid
It's dumber to get vaginal in TH-cam's comments section. Are you sure you're not a fanboy? You certainly aren't convincing anyone with your infantile replies. Anyway, I'm sure people get that Samsung made their crappy version of ANC very clear. Is that supposed to absolve them of implementing such a crappy version of it on these ear buds, rather than the industry standard people would/should expect, especially when others have done much better already? I mean, if you must be substandard and excuse that, do so by all means. That doesn't, however, excuse justified criticism over this version of ANC they chose for these buds. That's like a dealership slapping lower quality tires on a car, while the rest use more standard, higher quality tires. Any analogy applies here. Why go with a crappy version of ANC when others have implemented better versions? Just because you apparently bow to it doesn't mean it's acceptable. Anyway, transparency is much better and safer anyway. I'd rather tech companies focus on and improve this than ANC. You always want to be aware of your surroundings more.
Yes!!! I have always hated the in-ear seal design - I'm one of the few people I know who loved the samsung headphones that used to come with the phones because they were much more comfortable. I'm really hoping these go on sale for Black Friday, or that I can get them with the S20!!!
I actually like the active noise canceling function on these buds. You can actually still hear people talk to you while filtering out other unnecessary frequencies. I used them at a recent concert for ear protection and they were great.
Personally i hate tips soo these would be great for me. But the most important thing for me is to get as little of a seal as possible. To be able to listen to music and still be able to have a full conversation with someone without having to take a bud out is gold. I work in construction and often have dirty hands, so i dont want to touch the buds more than nessesary
@@happybuggy1582 i do in addition. But as an electrician I am still in the building after all the "big powertools" and machines are done building. So when i am pulling cables and such i like to be able to hear my surroundings as i work. I listen to a lot of podcasts and i like to have them constantly on, without having to pause and take one out of my ear. They are the voice in my head without talking away from all the other things i wanna hear when out and about.
Your description just sold me on these! I don't work construction but I have at least one headphone in 80% of the time when I am not at work. I like to listen to podcasts, TH-cam and audio books while I clean, cook, do yard work, grocery shop, all the things. But I want to be able to hear my surroundings some especially of I am out and about. The only time I wouldn't mind a complete seal would be the gym but that's not a bog deal. Thank you!
The things you don't like about the Buds Live are the things I love about them. I don't care if others hear my music, I don't tend to play them overly loud anyway. I love that I can hear what's going on around me and I most definitely LOVE that they don't seal in my ears. These are by far the most comfortable earbuds I've worn and I'm finding myself wearing them pretty much all day. I have small ears and was a bit concerned when I ordered them but they actually feel like they are made for my ears and I forget I have them in. I think people need to consider how they use their earbuds before making a decision between Buds Live and Buds Plus.
I just bought these specifically because it DOES let some outside sound in, and also has the audio pass through. With remote working now being a thing, I wanted to be able to leave my buds in all the time for calls, meetings, music etc. Having to pause my stuff every time someone spoke to me was getting very annoying. So far, these feel and sound perfectly suited for that use case.
The galaxy bud lives are very comfortable, sometimes I forget that I have the buds on my ears. In ear wireless earbuds always hurt my ears after one hour of use.
Truck driver also noise canceling does work but battery life sucks after listening to Iheart for about 3 1/2 hours I'm usually at 29% my cheap Walmart pair lasted longer
He probably forgot to shoot b roll for note 20 and just reused the existing B roll he already had, it's pretty common among TH-cam channels to reuse B roll
Sound leakage/noise cancellation is not a deal breaker. The No1 area should always be sound quality. Moral of the story: There is always something to complain about if you want to find it.
Gaming Harmony AirPods Pro win this. Yes, before I could understand the argument but spatial audio, soon to be supported by Apple Music will change the game. Audio quality is amazing, and the ANC just makes it better. At this point, no other earbud can beat the AirPods Pro.
@@shadowios7033 Airpods are shit compared to Buds Live. I dont know about Airpods Pro, but i hope they are at least 10x better than Airpods, because regular Airpods sounds like low budget compared to Buds Live.
@@shadowios7033 Buds Live: ~$160 Airpods Pro: ~$250 For $90 you can sacrifice ANC if you don't need it. Everyone says their sound quality is very good.
@@melhawthorne3182 The thing I hate about the buds + is I can't hear how loud I'm talking so I may be yelling my conversation for everyone around. But I also use them when doing dishes and things around the house so I don't want people to hear that stuff in the background. I will also use them while working out. So i'm not sure with that being said if I should choose the live or buds +. Any feedback?
@@joyallen2606 you can hear yourself pretty well with them in. I don't like the seal ones bc they deafen you so much, but the buds live actually have a couple options that make it easier to hear surround/yourself with them in. I usually only take them out to be polite (I have the black ones so they're obvious af) not because they bother me.
I think for most people who love the Buds Live, the unique design and the fact that they are NOT real in-ear headphones is a very important aspect. I hate in-ears for a number of reasons, so the Buds+ are hardly an alternative for me. If I didn't hate them, I would have many more options to choose from anyway.
Once you find your comfort zone (Tip size) these are amazing. I listened to music, a podcast and an entire NFL game and still had 63% battery left. The sound is great for anything.
Just got my buds live few days ago and I simply loved them. These beans are so comfortable to wear and have very good sound quality considering they are open types of earbuds. Kudos to the team who designed the beans. Will definitely get the next in line of this style.
When I just got them they did really hurt if I wore them for a long time , but after learning how to properly place them in I could wear them all day long comfortably!
It doesn't take a month to realize the active noise cancellation doesn't work well. It's an open design. It takes a few minutes to test various environments. So I'm confused why you were "wrong" earlier. I have a pair and like them for my morning walks and for listening inside the house when I don't want over-the-air cans.
Samsung never said they were total anc headphones. They were pretty specific saying it was for low frequencies while letting in higher frequencies such as voices
@@jazlynstar1725 I like them, but these are the first wireless buds I've ever owned, so can't compare them to others. The bud for my left ear doesn't fit as well as the right bud. I still like them, though.
I know this is a negative review but it only made me want to for sure buy them 😂 comfort and sound quality are my only priorities and you said it's the best in those two categories. Thank you Max def buying them now
Just got them and so far I really like their new design. I don't feel very isolated so this helps when I'm working and I can actually hear my boss calling out to me. Also I don't have to deal with that uncomfortable feeling after so many hours of use from my regular galaxy buds. The live definitely is so much better and it doesn't go all the way inside my ear. So glad I bought for only $78 since it was on clearance.
I'm very comfortable using Buds Live at work as I'm not bother to remove my buds to hear if someone would like to speak with you and you can still hear what is going in your environment while enjoying a good background music.
I was skeptical trying the buds live, but the fit is so comfortable with the open design, I'll live with the high frequency noise coming in. I also keep the anc on to boost the lows.
Please guys try to know how to wear them right. It took me almost 3 weeks to realize that I was wearing them wrong. I had to realize that the silicon tip that came with it was too small for me. I changed to the larger pair but still wore the buds wrongly. When I finally wore it right, I was like a deaf that heard sound for the first time. I was surprised how tightly and comfortable it sat. So tight, I slept with it, ran with it, yawned, chew, shook my head... 1. The silicone tip you choose is very important, don't just settle for the one that it came with. 2. Make sure the silicone surface is lying totally flat without any visible part peeking at you when you look at your ears. Note: My mistake was that the silicone was not totally flat, I was always seeing a portion of it. I hope I helped. This really, really fits. It's surprising!
The anc, as far as I can remember, is for in call noise cancellation for the benefit of the person on the other end, not for listening to music. This was explained many times at launch by many reviewers. This is perfect for people like me, I walk to work listening to music, but I will still be able to hear traffic approaching as I cross roads. Thanks for the info on sound quality, mine arrive tomorrow and looking forward to them.
Ryan Lennox-Bradley so far is there any issues with the sound quality and functionality?? I also want to know how does the mic sound over the phone? I am prepared to buy one of these buds live for my hubby but I need to ensure the mics are delivering a clear voice over WhatsApp/Line calls as he’s gg to use it more for stay-at-home meeting purposes due to Covid-19.
@@LoveIsContagious no issues in terms of sound and I haven't had any audio quality complaints from family or friends. I've never heard how I sound with them, but reviewers sound pretty good with them.
Yah I agree sudio TWS sucks and they don’t really provide an impressive sound quality which I am looking forward before buying it previously. I had a norm TWS which sounds so so so much better in terms on sound quality & functionalities (can even touch to volume up & down). Lolz 😝 and I saw SO MANY people selling off their Sudios and changed to AirPods Pro instead when I asked many of them.
Here are my thoughts just in case it helps anyone else. I just got these and really like them. My biggest reasons are the small profile in the ear, and the fact they don't go too far into the ear. Any earphones or earbuds that have the suction like cups and go in the ear are extremely uncomfortable and hurt my ears after very short use. I understand for noise cancelling, that's preferred, but it's not for me. That's why I like these and that they rest just in the ear and aren't painful. Another is the fact that I work at a call site and we're discouraged from listening to music without some type of earphones or something similar. The Live earphones small profile have helped me listen to music finally during calls. Other bluetooth hds are too big and aren't comfortable with my headset. So for me, these are great for work and every day use. Thanks for the video.
I kinda liked that about the low frequency anc. I dont like large sounding loud noises but I also don't love being completely closed off. I often find myself popping these in when I'm in a crowd room or a place with a ton of ambient noise to cut the sound in half. It makes the noise a great deal more manageable for me. It helps me feel alot more comfortable if you get what I mean.
I am afraid this reviewer misses the mark about one of the best earbuds out there and for a totally wrong reason. Unless you have a 100% perfect fit with an earbud, which is a rarity, you are fooling yourself if you think you are going to get anywhere close to great or even good ANC. But the Buds Live are the only buds I will ever use. For my ears, as seems to be the case for the above poster, the comfort and fit are better than all others. I want buds that actually fit comfortably and securely in my ears and these are the only ones that do. All those others that demand you really get deep into the ear canal just don't do that with my ears and are exceedingly uncomfortable and unstable. And if I really want ANC, I will use a good pair of over the ear phones. The Buds Live also produce some of the best sound of any earbuds I have heard. And I have zero volume level problems on my iPhone 11 Pro Max - just how loudly is anyone looking to listen to music?
@@larryb4392 i have the same problem with earbuds, they never fit my small ear holes). But i now want to buy new earbuds, so the buds live are really comfortabele?
I'm on a coach to London right now. ANC does work, it gets rid of the low rumbles of the coach. The on off difference it very obvious. It may not be as good as others, but it does work.
I just bought the Buds live in Bronze few days ago & i have the Buds+ aswell. Below are my impressions after 1 week of use. > Buds Live vs Buds+ - Both has almost the same sound quality, with the Buds Live having a tab bit more volume & bass if the fit is perfect on your ear (depends on the size & shape of the ear). - Since most wont be using the Buds+ 11 hours straight, having more battery on the Buds Live case is more useful (Buds live - 21 on case & Buds+ - 11 on case). The Buds+ case dies after 3 days max but the earbuds itself will last for 3 more days where as the Buds live case will only die after atleast 6-7 days with the buds itself lasting 1 more day (using both for a min. of 5 hours a day) - ANC on the Buds Live are ok for what they are. (reduces around 60% of only low frequency background noice) They are meant to let in some sounds of the surrounding hence the name Buds "LIVE". - Comfort is the main feature of the Buds Live... They sound as good as the buds+ (if the Buds Live fits your ear right) while being comfortable & keeping your attention of the surroundings which is good for long periods of use while outdoors, at work etc...
@@greyfox8839 its amazing. No delays/latency issues. vocals highlighted, clear & loud. Other sound effects are cinematic with good bass. Everything sounds open rather than feeling like its coming from 2 small speaker and close to your ear.
@@ar.idrees i was thinking to buy them and that is something i was really curious about ... and i have heard that the Buds plus have better sound quality .. like they are more "open" what can you tell me about the sound quality itself? aaaaannd are they falling off your ears, if you shake your head? Thank you btw for your response!!
@@greyfox8839 Sound is almost the same. Buds Live has a bit more bass and volume. If the buds live fits your ear correctly then it worth it since it has the same quality as the Buds+ and is more comfortable. Overall both are good but for casual use Buds live is comfortable (for TH-cam and netflix/ any 2+ hour long sessions ) People who says the Buds Live sound bad is because it doesnt fit properly to their ear so the seal will be bad which causes low quality sound. Buds+ will fit everyone so it will feel like the Buds+ is better, but whats actually happening is both sound the same but Buds Live fits perfectly on few people. If you're overall a big dude with average to large ears then the buds live would fit you fine. If you have small ears buds+ would be a safer option for a better fit. (If apples wired or wireless airpods fit your ear & doesnt cause pain then Buds Live would be fine for you)
@@ar.idrees okey thank you so much i'll still buy the buds live and see if they will fit my ears. If not, then i'll just send it back and buy the buds + instead. And they didn't fall of from your ears am i right?
I thought it was funny that you said "if you prefer a design that leaks sound and let's sound in" because i actually legit want that. I like to listen while I'm at work walking around other people and they need to be able to ask me questions all day. I saw where it said that there was active noise cancelation and I got concerned that I might not want them. Thanks for the review.
I have tiny ears and autism. I typically like to wear headphones but after a while they bother my ears and my airpods were getting really old, plus I had changed my phone to samsung. I like the discreetness of these earbuds, especially when I go out in public. I can still hear what people are saying but the buds just make them feel a bit further away. I don't think these are supposed to cancel out noise completely. My airpods didn't even do that lol.
I tested all 3 on my own (Buds, Buds+, and Buds Live) and for some reasons, I found that the sound quality of the Live to be the least of the 3. Buds+ was the best for me. May have to do that the Live is not sealed or maybe I did not wear them properly. Yes, ANC is a joke on the Live.
I love the comfortability and look factor of these buds, but the noise leakage is the deal breaker for me because i HATE it when people can hear my music. Nonetheless, im interesting on how Samsung improves the next line of them
Just got these buds today and they're the most comfortable and best sounding buds I've ever owned. The shape and fit is what makes these my favourite I just find in ear buds uncomfortable.
I get my Buds Live tomorrow with the Tab S7+ the day after. I look forward to using those. I have the Buds, but not the Buds+ but they are the same shape. I can’t wear the Buds longer than an hour before my ears start to hurt because of the stem that sticks into the ear. I end up defaulting to the AirPods Pro in almost all cases due to comfort and ease of use. The new Spatial Audio is pretty cool, too. I expect to use the Live with the S7+ while I use the AirPods Pro for everything else.
@@W3TFART The sound is good, which is what’s important. I don’t use them anymore because they cause my ears to bleed. For some reason, these ear buds scrape the skin off the inside cup of my ear, and I literally start bleeding. I haven’t heard this happen to other people, so it could just be me.
@@techinrl9869 I’ve got buds plus but the lives are on sale half price so I was thinking of giving them a go . Sounds like they’d be good if your ears are the correct shape . Expensive experiment to find out they don’t fit . Thanks for the reply
I bought a like new pair of these for only $68 off eBay. I love the sound quality on these and I like the fact they don't have those annoying rubber tips.
All these cons are actually the reason I bought these. I like my buds plus a lot, but I like to be able to hear outside sound as well as my music so I can have conversation. The ambient mic doesn't work as well as I had hoped. I was hoping that the lives would perform like regular open back earbuds. This works out, haha
I think reviewers missed the point for these. They are great for people on the go who want background music and still be able to interact with people and hear things going on around them. They are great for people with jobs that require driving, answering calls and interacting with clients without having to remove the buds to hear them clearly. The ANC is designed to remove low frequency's and as a truck driver I can attest to it doing that well. Not every person on the planet wants an earphone that cuts the entire world off. For music and podcasts they do a decent job; They don't blow my highend IEM's and headphones away but they sound decent enough for background music. For the purpose they serve they do a really good job and no other BT earphone competes. They are they best thing since sliced bread for my line of work. At home I enjoy music with my high-end stuff, at work I enjoy the live buds. I think they should be called life buds because they don't get in the way of life.
Yikes, I just ordered them . I wear headphones most of the day. My music on utube very important . Being blind, cant watch TV. I sit at computer all day as thats where my wheelchair is parked LOL. I really appreciate your video because I don't think I missed much not actually seeing it. You explained clearly . Hopefully when they arrive , they will fullfill my needs. I also hope to listen to my books while outside on the deck. Thank you for posting this video :)
had them for several days now: 1. they look really cool 2. the sound is inferior to airpods 1 3. the read notification aloud option is a must have; however for some reason they don't read the full emails but can read the in full other notifications 4. you can't sleep with them - too sensitive to touch 5. the lag is ridiculous - can't even watch a movie 6. battery is great - full day without issues 7. they fall easily from the ears - less stable than the airpods so if you do long drives and need to know about the messages you get and wanna look cool, they are a must. but you need a second pair for everything else.
I have a collection of different brands earbuds and from Samsung the Buds Pro and the Buds live. Out of all of them my go to buds are the Buds Live. People totally missunderstand them. They were not made to be the ones with the best ANC or the most isolated sound, they are not. They were made to be THE MOST COMFORTABLE TO WEAR bc YOU DON'T STICK any sillicon or ruber or plastic or foam in your ear canals. You stick NOTHING in to them. This obviously has some limitations for noise isolation and strong sound; that is why I'm greatly surprised at what a great quality sound and Bass (YES Bass) they have. So. If you don't care about sticking things for an hour into your ear canals, go ahead and get Stick-in earbuds. Otherwise I haven't found any pair in many brands that is more comfortable, to wear for hours on end. You really forget they are there. And if you need to be aware of your surroundings they let you hear natural, real, not robotic sound around you. Hope this helps clarify the misunderstandings about it. Also. I have used them for the Gym and they have never even once falled off my ear.
As a person who doesn't like the "sealed" off tips, this video sold me on the live. I like to wear over the ear protection anyway when i mow so i think these will be perfect!
I love my Buds Live. I have the Buds+ as well, and my biggest annoyance with the Buds+'s was they lacked bass. With these Beans....they're perfect! Not too worried about how bad the ANC is. To me its decent. If I want good ANC I'll just throw on my QC 35's. Plus, the beans are so small it no wo der they couldn't pack a bunch of ANC tech in there with this fat drivers taking up most of the room and still keeping the price point where its at. So I give em a pass for ANC. Good video though.
I love these buds. I chose these over my Airpods Pro. I don't care for the noise cancelling function so that didn't matter to me. These have a great fit in ear.
I'll go with the beans too, maybe people on the bus will look at me like turn down that f@cking music but they used to look at me like that with my old AKG earphones so i don't care
Buds with a seal-in design aren't a little uncomfortable after a little while -- they are painful immediately (and tend to pop out if I move my jaw to talk). That's the problem with having narrow ear canals. If, as you said, the trade-off is losing good noise cancellation in return for comfort, I think I'm going to get the Buds Live. Thanks for the help.
The spatial audio is ok...but it's not a must-have feature for me tbh...most of the times I won't even notice it... I just realize how little I need those flashy features that those tech companies are advertising so hard...
Why am I watching this, I bought them launch day. I'm glad I waited an extra 2 months for these to come out instead of getting the buds plus Also, I sprinted with them and they didn't fall out or even loosen. I'm a slow sprinter so do with that info what you will. As I said in other comments, the sound quality is better than my Razer gaming over ear headphones. Edit: noise cancelling works fine for lower frequency sound (it cuts out the vacuum, car, lawnmower, etc also, I have a smaller mower) I'm surprised at the findings with anc, there was an update that improved the noise cancelling.
I wonder if it can help to reduce (not expecting to fully cancel noise) the thunderous sounds of F16 planes flying regularly over my area. Want to buy this buds live for hubby so he can concentrate working at home due to Covid-19
I feel what's missing from this review is practical real world use. You don't want total noise cancellation as if you went for a jog/bike ride it is highly unsafe to have total sound cancellation. I have the first gen buds and if someone is talking to you, you need to take them out.
I have the buds for a while now, it is not noise cancelling at all instead it amplifies the noise outside. Walking beside a highway, you would no longer hear the music you are playing even at max, instead you hear the noise vibrating more in your ear. It is not a snug fit as well on all ears, it fits my right ear but not at all on my left ear. It falls out all the time and my left bud is full of scratches because of this. Sound is pretty good if you are in a not so noisy environment. Battery is amazing though.
To be honest I haven't had a problem with the sound cancelation. I go to the gym and never had an issue I don't hear anything but the music 🤷♀️ and outside I do honestly prefer to hear my surroundings(it sounds pretty soft)and my music because that's better for my own safety I think it just depends on what exactly people are looking for 💜

I purchased these on Black Friday this year and they're not that bad, my husband can't hear my music usually. My only qualm with the bean shape is that it is semi uncomfortable. I don't know why but one ear it's fine but the left side for me doesn't fit well and it gets irritating. Maybe that's just me but so far they're on par for me with the Buds+. Both have their issues for me. My one favorite thing about the live buds are the touch blocking controls so when I try to sleep they don't get bumped on the pillow.
I love the galaxy buds live because they don’t hurt my ears, since you aren’t shoving buds INTO your ear. These stay just out your ear canal where it won’t cause discomfort due to air pressure, or hurting ears due to direct sound inside. LOVE THEM!
Just got them free with S21 Ultra. These are my 1st in ear buds. I was worried about them not fitting, falling out, crap sound blah blah. TBH they fit a treat but not quite as Bassy as my in ear old style headphones. That being said the sound is very clear much better than my wired in ear headphones. 1st thoughts - very happy to use these buds 👍
That's so cool I see great reviews about it being comfortable more so than the original galaxy buds in some ways because this are tight seal and hurts my ears for like 20+ mins.
I have tiny ears too. Can you lay down with them without your ears hurting? Do they fall out when you shake your head or bend down or something?? Last question if you play music on normal volume can someone next to you hear the music?? Thanks for your review! I'm hesitant for buying these because nobody talks about small ears and how these fit. You're the first I see!!

Got em... completely impressed. I was concerned about the fit. Whether it was "supposed" to seal the ear canal. Not sure about anyone else, but mine do. Which makes for nice bass resonance. My other concern was the noise cancelation... AMAZING!!! I'm a driver, I need the truck cabin noise to be deleted. I'm comparing these to Plantronics Legend and the Blue Parrot (the ultimate of NC). I called another driver to for feedback, he asked if I was even n the truck!!! I hv officially upgraded.
Sound link isn't necessarily a flaw. I actually seek this out, as well as open-back cans. I want to hear the outside world. The ANC is basically useless but I love these for the price.
They work perfect for me! I hate the seal of many other earbuds and also hate not hearing what is going on around me. That’s the reason I bought these instead of ‘standard’ design earbuds, and I love them!!
Exactly. These are perfect for work environments! Where you need to be able to hear around you. And especially needing to hear that your dog isn't parking or kid isn't crying etc. While on conference calls. If I want to be sealed for the world I would just put on my high end wired gear..
I returned mine, twice. the sounds kept on cutting out when i wear them sitting on the mower, as well as when i go for a walk, with phone in my front pocket. even turning of the heads cuts of sounds. thought first pair was a dud, and paired with Note 10+, got a replacement and paired with Note 20 Ultra, still the same issue. no problem with my OG galaxy buds with either phone and scenario.
My Galaxy live buds = most used buds. My Sennheiser Momentum 2 = favorite buds. And my jaybird vistas = hyper/activities buds. The live buds are the only ones I can wear while sleeping and wear with a full face helmet, they also work best for everyday use so I can hear my surroundings. The Sennheiser sound the best by far and have the best active noise canceling. Jay birds are my hardcore workout buds, maximum comfort and great sound.
Great video! How durable are the Buds Live? Have you dropped them ever or drop tested them? Nobody seems to have a durability test on these - would really appreciate one.
I love everything about these buds. The design is so modern. The airpods are uncomfortable for people like myself with small ears. Even the Buds plus with that round ball is not feasible for my tiny ears. These fit snugly inside the ear and fit so well. The sound is great and the only cost me $99! The airpod design where they hand down is not feasible for my ultra curly hair either but I'm sure the designers didn't think of the afro haired population in the design. From looks, to comfort to price...these are best for me.
Imagine if Apple and Samsung combined to make the ultimate buds pro. The best mics and noise cancelation from Apple with the sound quality and design from Samsung. That would be epic! Thank you for the update!!!
I wish I had the bass but I could keep these buds on literally all day without the slight pain. The active noise canceling really surprised me. @@AMPryce it has been 1 month. How is it going?
Why don't any of these reviewers get that the ANC on these aren't supposed to block out everything. They are literally only supposed to block out low-frequency sounds. It lets through higher frequencies by design. It lets you still hear people. THATS THE WHOLE POINT
Well atleast in a ANC, u cannot hear someone shouting while u wear wireless earbuds with ANC
He did make up some, probable, stretching of the truth about his aircon and nextdoor sounds to make the point about the high frequencies being let in.
Samsung fanboy detected ANC means BLOCKING EVERYTHING OUT
@@CRXL no it doesn't.

The things you don't like about the Buds Live are the things I love about them. I don't care if others hear my music, I don't tend to play them overly loud anyway.

I just got them. And my people always say they can hear things in the background
@@luda13th5 your people 🤣
Here are my thoughts just in case it helps anyone else.
Thanks for your review, but can you say something about the sound leakage? Is it really that bad? A little comment would help me with my decision :)

Good review, I am buying it for comfort not anc.
What's more is that this are kinda like open back headphones right except this aren't planar drivers

I just bought the Buds live in Bronze few days ago & i have the Buds+ aswell. Below are my impressions after 1 week of use.
> Buds Live vs Buds+
- Both has almost the same sound quality, with the Buds Live having a tab bit more volume & bass if the fit is perfect on your ear (depends on the size & shape of the ear).
- Since most wont be using the Buds+ 11 hours straight, having more battery on the Buds Live case is more useful (Buds live - 21 on case & Buds+ - 11 on case).
The Buds+ case dies after 3 days max but the earbuds itself will last for 3 more days where as the Buds live case will only die after atleast 6-7 days with the buds itself lasting 1 more day (using both for a min. of 5 hours a day)
- ANC on the Buds Live are ok for what they are.

If you're overall a big dude with average to large ears then the buds live would fit you fine. If you have small ears buds+ would be a safer option for a better fit. (If apples wired or wireless airpods fit your ear & doesnt cause pain then Buds Live would be fine for you)

Does buds live fit well during highly dynamic work outs like boxing, jump rope ?
I think they should be called life buds because they don't get in the way of life.

had them for several days now:
1. they look really cool
2. the sound is inferior to airpods 1
3. the read notification aloud option is a must have; however for some reason they don't read the full emails but can read the in full other notifications
4. you can't sleep with them - too sensitive to touch
5. the lag is ridiculous - can't even watch a movie
6. battery is great - full day without issues
7. they fall easily from the ears - less stable than the airpods
so if you do long drives and need to know about the messages you get and wanna look cool, they are a must. but you need a second pair for everything else.
Will buds live fit well during highly dynamic work outs like boxing, jump rope ?
are the buds live good for outdoor sports/running? will they fall off?
@@adityajahagirdar397 they are good for running
I love these buds. I chose these over my Airpods Pro. I don't care for the noise cancelling function so that didn't matter to me. These have a great fit in ear.
I really love my buds live. Its the only earbuds I have worn the whole day without pain in my ear.
don't care about ANC, sound quaity and comfort is what matters to me. os I'll go with the beans.
Yes!!!!! I've always had such little selection because I can't wear the plunger-tipped earbuds. I like how samsung offers these.
You fail to mention the benefits of iOS 14 with spatial audio and automatic switching... is that because this was recorded prior?
Facts conveniently left that OUT SMH
The spatial audio is ok...but it's not a must-have feature for me tbh...most of the times I won't even notice it... I just realize how little I need those flashy features that those tech companies are advertising so hard...
Why am I watching this, I bought them launch day.
I'm glad I waited an extra 2 months for these to come out instead of getting the buds plus
Also, I sprinted with them and they didn't fall out or even loosen. I'm a slow sprinter so do with that info what you will.
As I said in other comments, the sound quality is better than my Razer gaming over ear headphones.
Edit: noise cancelling works fine for lower frequency sound (it cuts out the vacuum, car, lawnmower, etc also, I have a smaller mower)
I'm surprised at the findings with anc, there was an update that improved the noise cancelling.
Agree with you
I was surprised with the noise canceling. Its not too shabby.
I wonder if it can help to reduce (not expecting to fully cancel noise) the thunderous sounds of F16 planes flying regularly over my area. Want to buy this buds live for hubby so he can concentrate working at home due to Covid-19
I'm not native and I love you English pronunciation, it is so easy to hear and understand.
I feel what's missing from this review is practical real world use. You don't want total noise cancellation as if you went for a jog/bike ride it is highly unsafe to have total sound cancellation. I have the first gen buds and if someone is talking to you, you need to take them out.
are the buds live good for outdoor sports/running? will they fall off?
I have the buds for a while now, it is not noise cancelling at all instead it amplifies the noise outside. Walking beside a highway, you would no longer hear the music you are playing even at max, instead you hear the noise vibrating more in your ear. It is not a snug fit as well on all ears, it fits my right ear but not at all on my left ear. It falls out all the time and my left bud is full of scratches because of this. Sound is pretty good if you are in a not so noisy environment. Battery is amazing though.
To be honest I haven't had a problem with the sound cancelation. I go to the gym and never had an issue I don't hear anything but the music 🤷♀️ and outside I do honestly prefer to hear my surroundings(it sounds pretty soft)and my music because that's better for my own safety I think it just depends on what exactly people are looking for 💜
How do you not hear anything with the active noise cancelation when there is no active noise cancelation
@@blacklyfe5543 There is when you go to the galaxy wearable app and choose the headphones it gives you that option and you can turn it on or off whenever it also has other audio options that you can change to your preferences
@@reaccionandoconyailin there is noise cancellation on these headphones i can still hear noises in the background the airpods pro not only sound better but have better noise cancellation then the galaxy buds live
@@blacklyfe5543 okay, well they do have noise cancelation, now if it dosen't work for you that's different. To me they work just fine and like I said in the very first comment it just depends on people's preferences if you prefer the air pods that's cool I'm not saying that they're better it just depends on preferences.
@@reaccionandoconyailin I meant they have noise cancellation but its not as great as the airpods pro i can still hear sounds in the background when I'm listening to music or watching a video
My one favorite thing about the live buds are the touch blocking controls so when I try to sleep they don't get bumped on the pillow.
legend has it that if you bury these in dirt, you will have a magic beanstalk the next morning
these are not beans these magic Legumes
@@viabrol8419 ok.
Just picked up my pair of Buds Live, and I tested out the ANC in my car immediately. Does very well with low consistent rumbling.
My first bluetooth headphones ever, and i love the way i can use them for long period of time and how they fit almost perfect on my tiny ears
@@Sanneey13 Being more than honest it took me getting used to at first they felt very tight and I thought I had made the wrong purchase but when I learned to put them on correctly I am totally happy with them
@@Sanneey13 I also have to say that they are not that comfortable to lie down with and at first it may feel like they are going to fall off while trying to do some activity. I think they should make a softer rubber so that they feel even better. if they are noisy if you hear them loud I still don't know
Got em... completely impressed.
I LOVE MINE!!!!!!!
Omg I couldn’t wear AirPods Pro due to the fit. Not just the sound quality, the fit and everything is so perfect!!
Are these good for working out to at a gym?
Love your review Max ! I kept both Buds + and Live I couldn't make up my mind ! I use one for my Tab S6 and other with my Note 10 + !
Which one does have the better sound quality ??? Which one dos have better base ??? And overall beat aound quality ??!
I prefer the sound quality as well as the mics on my buds plus! I love my buds plus!
I don't turn my volume that loud so will other people still hear my music in a quieter environment?
I have dropped mine and no issue
It will block the sounds of a generator but voices are clear. The only thing I didn't like was the touch controls but hey who needs em. As a literal pot of chili I appreciate these beans
I'm happy with my Buds Live. The Sound is great and they're so comfortable
I'm a buds live user and I 'm satisfied with its noise canceling. If you want to enjoy canceling, you should stuck it into your ear deeply like kernel earphone.
The buds live are the hands down the most comfortable buds you can get 👌🏻
Even more comfy now I've swapped to the large ear tips
Does buds live fit well during highly dynamic work outs like boxing, jump rope ?
@@riyasali3255 haven't tried sorry best i can offer is a work out of 100 sit ups 100 push ups 100 squats and 10km run they didn't fall out

..the sound quality and the deep bass is amazing..
Have you tried the jaybird Vista? I'm trying to find out if the bass is better than those.

A really good & detailed review. Ill still go for them, despite the downsides.
I bought the galaxy buds live because they are more discreet... but I was impressed with the sound quality most of all!!!!
Thank you! This is such an honest review! Now I know which buds to buy for Christmas. 👍😊🎄
Just got the Live buds and they are terrific and much better than the Plus and the original ones. Regarding noise cancelling I have the Bose Quiet Comfort and even though it's over the ear it doesn't block all the sounds. Noise cancelling only works on particular frequency. In the plane the Bose will minimize the engine sound but not block other sounds... like my wife! LOL
Lmfao 🤣
Hey max love ur vids😀
LIVE LIVE LIVE not noise cancelling. When will these guys get this???
