Dude seriously, decent video but you must have known about the ambient settings that drastically impacts the microphone sounding computerized versus not computerized before drawing a conclusion or not mentioning that within the video.
You guys are doing amazing work with such great content especially during such trying times. We need it. Proud to be your sub from almost the start since you guys went on your own. Keep up the good work. Grateful.
Literally just bought these. It was an impulse buy as I was looking at others and didn't consider these at the start. I must say straight out the pack they're by far!!!!! The best in ear buds I have ever heard in my life. Clean and incredible sounding. Blow my old ones out the water. £79.99 what a bargain!
I have one downside with the Galaxy Buds+, is that you have to use triple tap to select previous track and double tap to skip to next track. Instead of double tap left to go to previous track and double tap right to skip to next track. Which it is very hard to select tracks you like. Because trying to triple tap sometimes doesn't work and will only counts as a double tap. Also there's no touch sensitivity change on these buds.
Ive been thinking about jumping on the wireless buds train recently. Last night I noticed Amazon had these on a flash sale for $99.00 so I grabbed a set.
Impressions of a non-audiophile on the Galaxy Buds+ after 4 weeks of use: First, overall, I like them. The are comfortable to wear all day, they have good sound quality, and the controls (once you get the hang of them) work well. Second, when you get them update the software, turn on the “super hearing” in labs and turn on “Double tap earbud edge” (more on that later). Third, play around with the equalizer presets and remember that different equalizer settings work better for different types of music. Fourth, play around with the ear tips and wings. I can’t stress this enough! I am one of those people who generally just use the tips that come with the earbuds I purchase but in this case the sound quality, and the isolation, vary significantly based on the tips/wings I chose. Fifth, if you turn on “Double Tap Earbud Edge”, as recommended in 2, you don’t have to actually touch the earbuds to change the volume because it apparently uses the accelerometer. I noticed this when I tapped my jaw and the volume changed. Now, rather than trying to hit the edge of the earbuds, I tap the top of my ear twice quickly, less worry about aiming and works great. Just know, as my wife joked, if someone wants to change the volume on your earbuds all they have to do is slap you twice on one cheek or the other. Sixth, the pass through mode is a little disappointing. Sounds are oddly distorted and the sounds it picks up can be distracting, this might be in part due to the issues with the mics. This goes to one of the things I wish the Buds+ had which is sound filtering.
I have the Sony and the buds. The Sony earbuds sound absolutely amazing. The buds sound great too but not as good as Sony. It is all a matter of preference.
I'm a Samsung Galaxy Fold user BUT my go-to ear buds are Airpod Pros. I love them and they're great for phone calls. It would take a lot for me to leave them.
I like that you did microphone tests and published the samples. It's amazing how microphone quality is overlooked by so many reviewers. Keep up the samples!
I was given GalaxyBuds for Christmas. At first people told me they couldn't hear me during calls but now with an update or two nobody complains. And they sound decent with my Samsung S10. Other than turning on Dolby ATMOS, I recommend going with a custom equalizer setting. The presets for different genres aren't good at all. I'm going to also adjust it to my hearing level rather than going with the generic age range.
@@thedudeify The ambient mode is awesome. I work retail and I keep my buds in the whole day. Even with talking to people, coworkers, or my bosses. They are a lifesaver when it comes to consuming media and getting through my workday.
I bought the original Buds back in September, and I love them except for the battery life. I picked those up for $90 on eBay, but I just went ahead and bought a pair of the Buds+ for $129 on eBay. I have a pair of cheap $25 earbuds at work if I forget my Buds, but I think I'll just leave my Buds in my desk drawer as my backup if I forget the Buds+.
There is a reason why Samsung is referred to as “Samsuck” they make a few products that seem nice at first until they break, go with Sennheiser momentum or Bose quiet comfort 2

I purchased the Galaxy buds from Costco for $90.00 I have till November to return them, I will probably upgrade to the Buds plus if they are carrying them. If not I will wait for the holiday sales to kick in. Lower profile on the plus would be a great benefit on my helmet so I can here turn by turn directions.
Guess everyone experiences are different because I stopped using my AirPods pro because the galaxy buds work better and sounds better. The problem you where talking about with the ambient mode only sounds super artificial when you have it cranked up to the max but setting it and small or medium sounds better than the AirPods pro. I’m outside a lot so my AirPods pro always sounded better than my galaxy buds but when I got the plus I didn’t tell people that I was talking on them and they thought I had my AirPods pro in. The noise canceling feature on the AirPods pro honestly isn’t that much better than the passive noise canceling on the galaxy buds plus. Really I guess it just boils down to your ear shape and how you use both. I have both and iPhone 11 Pro and and galaxy s20 before you say I favor one company over the other.
Spot on, that's exactly how I feel. Buds+ are a game changer for us that don't work in an office and are out for more than 8hrs. For music I get 12hrs and calls just shy of 8hrs.
I just got these buds about 2 weeks ago, and 1 criticism on them for me. Sweat. I do a lot of physical work and workout in the mornings (jogging) and sweat a lot, and at least for me, the buds plus become really lose in my ear. I love them for casual outdoor use like grocery store shopping. I do love the low profile form factor, but them feeling lose and at times almost falling out are really pushing me in getting workout dedicated earbuds.
After a lot of issues setting up with Windows 10 on a Dell notebook.. FINALLY I have a new pair of Buds+ working. My first impressions are that they sound very tinny... A massive disappointment. Unless I am doing something wrong ?
I have had just about every kind of headset and earbuds. (Style and brand) The LG Tone 910 series was the best; comfy, EXCELLENT TALKING on the phone which is the main thing for me. So my husband bought the Samsung Buds plus and I was really impressed. I like them better than any I've had and even my daughter's 1st generation air pods. So I am 100% with these Buds plus, I will be ordering them to pair with my S20. Thanks for your review.

I have tried all half-way relevant buds. Those are the best, considering sound quality, comfort, features, price, size, battery. They're not the best sounding in the universe, but they sound amazing for what they are. They're not entirely waterproof, but water resistant enough (for rain and sweat). They don't have active noise cancellation, but a very tight sealing. And I don't need ANC anyway. They have the best battery life any earbuds on the market have ever had. They sit comfortably in my ears even after hours of wearing (I even fall asleep with them and do not need amputation of my ears in the morning). Only BOSE could do that before (with my ears).
@@Thegsr98turbo yeah I initially wanted black to match the phone but I wanted to switch it up. I'll probably end up putting a dbrand skin on them tho and that'll be black. They're great earbuds though!cheers! 🤛
I am planning using them for work related meetings. Sometimes I dont talk and just listen for hours and I would like to go to kitchen to prepare my lunch while listenning. Thank you for pointing out that the Airpods' stem design is how they achieve better mic quality. That design is a purposeful choice. A choice that other TW headphone manufacturers could make too...but are sacrificing for not having an awkward visual aesthetic of a stem.
Must know about earbuds if you use Discord/Zoom or internet calls often: There is a major major flaw in these earbuds that I haven’t seen a single reviewer mention and that I wish I’d known about before I bought them. This is a common flaw in all bluetooth earphones and headphones I’ve discovered, and there is no solution for it. Bluetooth audio devices have profiles known as codecs that control sound quality: the high quality sound codec is called AAC and the lower quality sound codec SBO/SCO. When listening with the earbuds, the active codec is AAC, which sounds fantastic. However under certain circumstances the earphones drop down to SBO/SCO, which is distorted and sounds terrible. One of these circumstances is if you use the mic on any VOIP apps or internet calls or anything that requires using the mic (discord, skype, zoom, recording an audio etc.). (Doesn’t apply to regular phonecalls though). If you join an internet call using your earbuds mic, they drop down in quality MASSIVELY: your audio becomes horribly distorted and so is the sound being transmitted from your mic. The only ‘solution’ is to change your sound input to your laptop or computer’s built in microphone, which usually isn’t very good. If you don’t join internet calls often or have a strong laptop microphone, this problem won’t affect you. But for someone who is constantly on internet calls or who has to record audios, this is a huge let down. There are some apps that are made to force your earbuds to use AAC but none have worked for me sadly. I wish reviewers would discuss this major flaw in the earbuds or in bluetooth devices in general so people don’t make the mistake of buying them without knowing like I did. Everything else about these though, from sound to comfort to battery is fantastic.
Good review, but one point I have to disagree... calling is phenomenal... I am using them hours for calls every day, voice doesn't come through in the most natural way but incredibly well understandable for the other call participant, even in a noisy environment.
i do love my original buds. they pair with everything, including my xbox, pc, watch, and tablet, and are really comfortable. i do wonder why they got rid of the lip though, as this was one of the reasons i got them. every bud i have worn pop out of my ears, but they lock in really snugly, even wearing my cycle glasses, and hat/helmet. i havent noticed sound leakage, as i could turn the sound up on the bus with no complaints, also really imersive when worn using the gear vr. the only thing i would have hoped they would add is a long press for google assistant.

Still for Airpods. Also perfectly fits in my ear than buds. Nice comparison with the mic quality 🙌
I found one of your videos on another channel and I wanted to make you aware of it.
The video was found on apple insider titled "Top 5 problems with 2018 ipad pro"
Random i know but I wanted to make sure you were aware.
Really strange that you do not perform the call test in noisy environment, basically your call test is useless.

Dude seriously, decent video but you must have known about the ambient settings that drastically impacts the microphone sounding computerized versus not computerized before drawing a conclusion or not mentioning that within the video.
What do you mean by this? Does the ambient setting while on phone calls lower the mic quality?

Literally just bought these. It was an impulse buy as I was looking at others and didn't consider these at the start. I must say straight out the pack they're by far!!!!! The best in ear buds I have ever heard in my life. Clean and incredible sounding. Blow my old ones out the water. £79.99 what a bargain!
nice, got mine for 69€ some days ago
I have one downside with the Galaxy Buds+, is that you have to use triple tap to select previous track and double tap to skip to next track. Instead of double tap left to go to previous track and double tap right to skip to next track.
Which it is very hard to select tracks you like. Because trying to triple tap sometimes doesn't work and will only counts as a double tap. Also there's no touch sensitivity change on these buds.
Ive been thinking about jumping on the wireless buds train recently. Last night I noticed Amazon had these on a flash sale for $99.00 so I grabbed a set.
Is it still the best buy for buck ?
Impressions of a non-audiophile on the Galaxy Buds+ after 4 weeks of use:
First, overall, I like them.
I´m torn between the Buds+, the Jabras 75T and the Sony WF...
Sony for sound, Buds + for voice call
I have the Sony and the buds. The Sony earbuds sound absolutely amazing. The buds sound great too but not as good as Sony. It is all a matter of preference.
I am also debating between the Buds+(even though I have apple) and Jabras 75t
Same
I wonder how much better will the beans be over these, all I care about is sound so if they sound good, I'm all in.
Ugh I hate noise cancelation, I want to hear what is happening in my surroundings. I don't want to be attacked by weirdos 🙄
you can just turn it off or not buy a set with noice cansellation at all tho

I'm a Samsung Galaxy Fold user BUT my go-to ear buds are Airpod Pros. I love them and they're great for phone calls. It would take a lot for me to leave them.
But you cant change settings or even update them if you don't use an iPhone
How many hours do you charge the airpods pro case?
I like that you did microphone tests and published the samples. It's amazing how microphone quality is overlooked by so many reviewers. Keep up the samples!
After watching this video I liked these Buds. Now I can see myself going out and buying a Bud. ;)

How does the ambient feature work 1-10 IYO? Are you able to hear people without having to take the earbuds out of your ear? Thanks for the reply.
@@thedudeify The ambient mode is awesome. I work retail and I keep my buds in the whole day. Even with talking to people, coworkers, or my bosses. They are a lifesaver when it comes to consuming media and getting through my workday.
@@thedudeify I'd give it a solid 9/10. You can hear everything but you feel slightly like Robocop.
The Buds and Buds+ are honestly the only earbuds I've ever had that don't cause me significant discomfort from extended use.
Excellent review guys, thank you
I bought the original Buds back in September, and I love them except for the battery life.

Because samsung makes products from cheap to expensive. Apple only sells premium and flagship products

@@Felix-pd5jr My G iphone trying to get me in trouble 🤣
Damn this was a good simple straight to the point review and real life examples and details on the tech side. Thanks for the update video.
After a lot of issues setting up with Windows 10 on a Dell notebook.. FINALLY I have a new pair of Buds+ working. My first impressions are that they sound very tinny... A massive disappointment. Unless I am doing something wrong ?
Costco has the original buds for 90, i upgraded the the buds + my gf said the call quality is better on my +
Better how
I have had just about every kind of headset and earbuds.
I love how Samsung releases an app just so iphone users can use their buds. And Apple is like NOPE! No android allowed!!!!
Ya apple is sooo mean!
Apple wants users to put their password in, to get to the password entry before the iris scan and then once you pass all that you have to call Apple headquarters and ask nicely to be allowed 😅

Please do a 2020 MBA vs 2019 13 MBP performance comparison Max. Can’t decide which one to go for (especially GPU-wise)
what do you wanna do with the laptop?
On the audio test all my friends say that the old and new buds sound perfect
He keeps saying not noise canceling but i cant hear anything when my buds+ are in and I work in a loud environment.
Excited to buy these now! Samsung is always my first choice
The right side stopped working and now the buds no longer connect to Note 10+ phone.

Any having trouble with the Buds + case battery draining a lot? Mine drains so fast on the case.
I have that issue too! I think it's just the way it is :/
Good thing the actual buds have an 11 hour battery life
I can get about 3 full charges from my case give or take a little. I wear mine a lot during work and only charge my case every 2 days.
bro honestly though, who buys wireless earbuds for their mic XD
I am planning using them for work related meetings. Sometimes I dont talk and just listen for hours and I would like to go to kitchen to prepare my lunch while listenning. But obviously it is a meeting and I may need to talk, then the microphone becomes important. For gaming and music purposes obviously mic is no big deal.
I think if youre an anroid user dont buy airpods they lack many features on android, but if youre an iphone user you can buy the buds because of the app

Thank you for pointing out that the Airpods' stem design is how they achieve better mic quality. That design is a purposeful choice. A choice that other TW headphone manufacturers could make too...but are sacrificing for not having an awkward visual aesthetic of a stem.

Must know about earbuds if you use Discord/Zoom or internet calls often:
There is a major major flaw in these earbuds that I haven’t seen a single reviewer mention and that I wish I’d known about before I bought them.
Loved the review, right of the bat 👍
Yup
i do love my original buds. they pair with everything, including my xbox, pc, watch, and tablet, and are really comfortable. i do wonder why they got rid of the lip though, as this was one of the reasons i got them. every bud i have worn pop out of my ears, but they lock in really snugly, even wearing my cycle glasses, and hat/helmet. i havent noticed sound leakage, as i could turn the sound up on the bus with no complaints, also really imersive when worn using the gear vr. the only thing i would have hoped they would add is a long press for google assistant.
AKG made these.
