    Yeah it's three mics on these. 2 outside and the one inside that picks up your voice and matches it to the vibrations in the sensor (black dot). The two exterior mics are used to block out everything else that doesn't match the bone induction sounds. It's the same technology jawbone introduced to the Bluetooth industry over ten years ago.

    I own many headphones-Sony, Samsung, Apple, Beats, and now these. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxK5mc3yw4xA7Mf2j6k6n1Uqv_KUgrKdeM During my recent trip to Florida, I took all of the headphones and tried the sound quality test. I found the echoes rich in sound and easy to operate. The others headphones did their job, especially my Sony MX 1000 M3. However, the echo did a better job with the music and didn't lose connection with my phone. Overall, I think the echo is better than the competition when it comes to sound and performance. I will get the new Sony MX 1000 M4 and do another test on the plane. I want Amazon to make an over-the-ear design. My Bose is getting old, and my Beats need new cuffs. Amazon, please design the over-the-ear version. Thanks

      Wow! Your feedback came at such a great timing. I was reassessing my video style and I had tried out a lot of different styles since this video. And I think the style in this video, where I go slow and articulate the topics is still my favourite style. Lots of youtubers are rushing these days because of youtube retention stats, I find I should ignore that and slow down, which is what I will do for my next video. Even though most likely youtube will rank my video lower and ill get lesser views.

    This is a good instructional. But, I realized early on, twisting the Buds forward doesn't work for the shape of my ear. They feel loose, because there isn't much for the fins to grab on to. So, I have to twist mine downward, which pushes the slight deeper into my ear. This has also allowed extremely good sound quality and bass.

    • @SkyPerspective
      @SkyPerspective  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Vincent, thanks for sharing your experience. Yes all our ears are different shape and size, thanks to mother nature. The main idea is to position the speaker grill right in front of our ear canal. There is someone who commented their experience of using the galaxy buds live sleeves. They say it works great for them, maybe you can consider the sleeves, so its not too loose in your ear? Hope this helps.

    Great video!! Subscribed! But here's something that I have seen NO ONE else complaining about: I have had the buds live since they came out, and love EVERYTHING about them, EXCEPT the mics. Whenever I make calls, other people tell me that the background noise is SO loud, they don't want me talking to them using my ear buds. I tried the buds pro, Jabra 85t, and a few others. NONE of them had a significant difference for the person I was talking to (not enough difference to make me switch). The Airpods Pro were the ONLY ones, which created a fantastic calling experience. But...airpods. I just can't do it. Sticking with my "lives" until I can find a decent pair of buds for making calls....that aren't airpods. 😁

    • @SkyPerspective
      @SkyPerspective  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Getting Fit at 50, I don't really have the background noise issue when talking on the phone. In fact, I was at a busy food court, and my caller at the other end can't hear the noise, they only hear my voice. However, they do say my voice is very mechanical, but they can still understand. The buds must be doing some sort of noise filtering or cancelling. Yes I know what you mean about the airpods. 😂 But I heard the airpods are pretty good, I haven't used one myself for the same reason.

    • @SkyPerspective
      @SkyPerspective  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Tse Hong Ling, yes it takes a while to get used to it. Even after using for so many months, occasionally I will wear with one side sound muffled, and I had to re-adjust like I explained in the video. The main thing is to get the speaker grill to sit right outside of the ear canal, and don't expect too much noise isolation and noise cancellation. 😄

    This is actually the only video that made me correctly understand what the "upward movement" meant and how it's supposed to be done! I used to move the top part - where the speakers are (instead of the bottom one - where the mic is) upwards!! Now they finally fit. I have to push the mic a bit inwards though (contrary to the Samsung video) so they can stay in place!
    My only issue now is, they don't really cover a distance of 10 meters! I can only be in the room right next door, at maximum, before they start breaking up! Anyone else have that issue?

    • @SkyPerspective
      @SkyPerspective  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for the feedback. I realise the same thing, that's why I made this video to share my way of wearing the buds. Glad it worked out for you.
      When they claim 10m for Bluetooth, it only works for direct line of sight. When there are barriers like wooden walls or metal structures such a metal cabinets, it affects the bluetooth performance substantially.

    • @sabouelnour
      @sabouelnour 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@SkyPerspective Thank you for clarifying the issue with the 10 meter coverage. I thought something was wrong with my device! That's a shame though. It kills a whole bunch of dreams I had for using these beens; especially that walls where I am are built of concrete, not wood, so imagine the barrier! Still though, they have great other uses and sound amazing. Thank you again for your video.

  • @peibyn5278
    @peibyn5278 ปีที่แล้ว

    One poster here suggests switching the buds over, i.e. left earbud into right ear, and vice versa. I tried that and at first it seemed the sound was much improved, but after putting them back correctly, i.e. left earbud in left ear, I noticed that only then was full base included. So switching the buds from one ear to the other in order to make them stay securely in place is not an option. I get good sound by gently pushing the bottom of the bud down towards the ear-canal, however I cannot then screw the top part of the bud upwards: there is no room in the folds of my ear to allow that to happen. This seems to mean that the buds are not secure, and already they have fallen out several times. One way round this would be to wear a beanie to keep the earbuds from falling out, but I don't always want to wear one.

    I own multiple pairs of 4 different models of Galaxy buds. The most expensive I own are the buds pro. Everyone said the buds live were really bad! I was given a free pair with a new S22 Ultra I bought. Everyone is so wrong. When you get them positioned correctly (I also use the Wavelet app) they are without a doubt the best Galaxy buds I own for sound quality by far. Great bass, soft mids and clear highs.
    However the touch controls are hideous and there is no passthrough mode.
    They are my favourite Galaxy buds for sound quality and I use them every day. Buds Pro can sound distorted in comparison to the buds live. I gave my Buds pro to my daughter.

I can't keep them in for longer than 30 minutes without my ears being in so much pain that I give up for a while. I'm going to watch this video again and see what I'm possibly doing wrong. I bought buds+ before the live's were available. I love the buds+. somehow while sleeping with them on listening to an audio book I woke up with the right one missing. it simply disappeared. I decided to just
    upgrade to the the buds live. though they look and sound great I just had so much trouble getting them
    to fit right or feel like they fit right. the right one keeps moving on me. I tried different setting tips. I even tried silicone sleeves I found on Amazon. they fit s but better, but that right one never felt right. I came to believe my right ear must be slightly misshapen so the fit could be off a bit. probably why the right bud+ fell out. doesn't explain why it vanished though. anyway, I just bought skittish pair of buds+. they way they lock in when you twist them just makes them feel more secure. I can't blame Samsung on
    this one. this is my body design. they have great products with both buds+ and buds live.

    great vid Sky, question, compared to semi open earbuds such as Honor AM61, or Bose, or Jabra, ( for am61 the ear bud rests slightly in the ear canal edge, not all the way in) or the new Samsungs Buds Pro, will u still recommend the Buds lives for comfort and comparative sound quality?
    Also, do the buds live sound like u are listening to a bluetooth speaker in the room? my main concern is lack of deep bass if any, along with good mids and highs.
    Last question, when u go outside to shopping mall or the parks, or in the bus or car, does the bass reduce, would the higher volume help in this?

    • @SkyPerspective
      @SkyPerspective  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Mo's Favorites, the answer is very subjective, but I will try to answer as best I can. To achieve a very good thumping base we need a good seal, so earbuds like galaxy buds pro or Jabra elite 75t are all examples of good thumping bass earbuds, but we sacrifice comfort and can't wear them for long. Comparing with my full in-ear canal soundcore liberty air 2 vs Galaxy Buds live, the bass on my liberty air 2 is way better than buds live because of the tight seal.
      The bass of Galaxy Buds live is still very good compared to other non-in-ear canal earbuds. To be honest, it won't be as good as any in-ear canal earbuds bass, because good bass requires a good seal. If that makes sense? And any outside noise will just seep into your ear if you use Buds Live, so shopping mall and buses, there is no hope of good bass, and higher volume helps a bit but does not drown out the outside noise. So if you travel on bus or trains a lot, don't use Buds Live.
      For me, I am happy to sacrifice a little sound quality for the comfort of buds live. It's like wearing nothing. The sound quality of Buds Live is still pretty good, and I can enjoy good music in a quiet environment, and the bass, mids and highs are clear.
      If you want really good bass, then go for the full in-ear like Buds Pro, and if you want comfort to wear and talk for a long time, then go with Buds Live. That's why I have both types for the best of both worlds, depending on what I listen to.
      Hope this answers your question.

      @@SkyPerspective thank you so much for your helpful suggestions and advice. how about when speaking to someone with the buds live when ur outside in the mall or trains etc, are u able to hear the person? am sure the other end of the call they can hear u due to the good microphone but since it doesn't have a tight seal are u able to hear that person?

    • @SkyPerspective
      @SkyPerspective  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I can always hear the person on the other side of the call very well. Phone calls on the buds live is one of its best features. And combine this with its comfort, we pretty much can talk on the phone for a long time. In fact, today I was on a call for about an hour while I was doing shopping at a fairly noisy shopping mall, works comfortably well, and I was just using one side of the ear buds (right side) to talk on the phone call.

      You are not alone. I have heard of others where their left and right ears are different in size and they have to use different ear tip sizes for the ear buds they see using. Unfortunately the problem with Galaxy buds live is that it's a one size fit all ear buds,or should I say one size doesn't fit all. You may need a different ear buds for working out. Have you checked out the pixel buds A series?

    • @SkyPerspective
      @SkyPerspective  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kv7716 hmm.... Interesting. I use the galaxy buds live connecting to my new windows laptop to video conference all the time and have meetings for hours. All of them can hear me clearly. On phone calls when connected to my galaxy note 10, all works well too. The only time the other person complain they can't hear me is when I am outside and my background is too noisy. Buds live uses bone conducting microphone, so maybe try to make sure the inner mic is touching the inside of your ear.

      Hi Acer Bower, their web site is only show casing their products and does not allow us to click and buy, nothing to do with vpn. Furthermore, this carrying case is not listed on their website at all. Unfortunately, they have too many products to list. There is someone else commenting saying similar pouches are available on amazon already. Maybe have a hunt around. I found this on amazon.com which according to the dimension listed, it should fit just nice. www.amazon.com/Fintie-Shockproof-Protective-Compatibe-Accessories/dp/B077D4WLKC/

      Hi that's interesting. Maybe you can check if there are any debris blocking the speakers. And if it's happening to both sides of the ear buds, then I suggest updating your all your software's like galaxy wearable app, and buds live firmware. If you have then all those and still happening, then time to get samsung warranty support. Hope this helps.

    and there is me who has mini ears and the buds are like the half size of my whole ears and I can't find the right way to place them, I can use them but I believe that they are not placed correctly and thus the sound quality/volume is a bit off, any suggestions?

    • @SkyPerspective
      @SkyPerspective  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it's ok if you didn't wear them "correctly", because I feel as long as the speaker grills is right outside your ear canal, and the buds does not fall out. It's as good as it can get. Having smaller ears are actually better than having bigger ears because if the ears are too big, they can move around in the ear and be mis-aligned. That's where the sound get muffled.

    Please help me. When I put the two Galaxy buddy life together.
    The left side auto turns off, even if I turn it on, in a matter of seconds it turns itself off.
    I've tried everything. The batteries are fine.
    I know that, because if I connect only the left earphone, I can spend hours with it on watching videos or music.
    It's the same if I use just the right one.
    It's only when I connect the two that this interference happens

    • @SkyPerspective
      @SkyPerspective  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Gilvan, what do you mean when you put the two Galaxy buds live together? Does it work when you put both of them into your ears?
      What I would suggest is notice what the proximity sensor on the ear buds is doing. What I suspect is that if you put the ear buds on the table, the ear buds knows it's not in your ear (because of the proximity sensor) and perhaps will switch that side off.
      If you are wearing both the ear buds and one side is not working, then that's clearly a defect, and you can go to Samsung support. Hope this helps.

      @@gilvanlemos7075 that definitely does not sound right to me. Maybe you can try update software like galaxy wear.
