    As a Celtic fan I wouldn't be too disheartened. If it had been Celtic last night, Sala and others would probably still have scored the goals. It’s a big boys league money wise, and the last two nights have brought this home. That said, I wish the media would stop bringing Scottish football down, the only way Celtic and Rangers can compete better in this league, is to continue getting in to it firstly, and as the funds come in, buying better quality players all the time.
    Keep up the good work, like this channel.

      Conceding 6-goals in 40 mins is absolutely indefensible no matter how you look at it. We had fans telling us that Real Madrid scoring 3 in the last 20 mins of matchday 1 was embarrassing etc but this is a Liverpool team with only 3 wins in 12 games who were missing/resting 6 regular players.
      Rangers absolutely collapsed worse than any team ever in the UCL.

      Mate, this whole "we need more money" statement is not the complete truth.
      Clubs in Scotland are wasteful with the money they do have.
      Scottish leagues have NO Squad size caps like other nations do. So think if it like this.
      If every club in Scotland and England had only £1million wage budget each season, the Scottish clubs can sign 30+ players and the English can only sign 25 in the prem and 24 in Cjampionship below. Plus, like most nations, England has another little league rule for squads, 8 if their 25 man registered squad limit must be homegrown. So they can only buy 17 register 17 foreign players and that's all that be played also.
      However in Scotland we have NONE of those rules. So the richer clubs can buy bloated squads to come with the demand of the number of games while the poorer sides cannot.
      Then there is the issue of player quality. A squad size cap WITH a home grown player quota means clubs can make their money go further on less players, this drives wages and transfer fees up so ALL our clubs can get better quality of player. The evidence is in, the most successful teams according to data have the highest wage bill. A smaller squad but higher wages means better players.
      Scottish football will NEVER get the better tv deals, the better sponsorship deals and the grand marquee signings while we stick to what we have now. For us to get more money EVERYONE needs to make a little sacrifice and vote for a complete overhaul in our game. That also means U-21 teams in men's leagues.

      Spot on! Rangers and Celtic play in a "mickey mouse" league and we can expect many "hammerings" everytime we qualify for the Champions League. We did have the opportunity to join the English Champoinship League (the old 2nd division) but due to arrogance and lack of foresight this was pooh-pooed! Last night was the consequence!

    • @FISHDINHO
      @FISHDINHO ปีที่แล้ว

      @@noodlez7553 To be fair. Celtics group is far inferior. Rangers would create 10-12 chances against Leipzig and Shaktar too. Napoli are far superior to Leipzig and Ajax are far better than Shaktar. Celtic would for sure have conceded more goals against those two. Madrid away could easily be 5-6 nil defeat for Celtic if your best centre half in Carter Vickers had to go off early and Madrid needed to win like the Rangers game last night. Madrid will probably do enough to secure top place next game and you will play their reserves. So it will keep the score respectable at least.

You boys had a great first half, you took control of the game after some early possession by us and some great pressure to put Scott Arfield through and a great finish after 17 mins, The defending for Bobby's leveller was poor! And after gomez through ball for Bobby's 2nd to put us 2-1 up you boys just stopped pressing and handed us the midfield and when Robbo Thiago & Salah came on it completely changed the game further and from there it was just utter capitulation from your lads! I know it's hard to take anything even remotely positive from this game but remember only a few seasons back you lads were in the 3rd division playing Elgin, last night you were in a group stage champions league game! The progress is there even with this year's disappointing UCL group stage, the last thing that disappointed me again was not seeing tav after the game once again, not great leadership from the captain, Goodluck in the league boys! Liverpool passing is absolutely superb. They never put a pass wrong, they don't play the obvious pass, they're always creating, our passing is totally mincemeat, no one know who they're even aiming at, let alone able to find a player, there's no zip on the ball, and it's always the most obvious option

    Only Real Madrid have ever succeeded in soaking up Liverpool pressure for 90 minutes and Luka Modric's experience and leadership and ability to play the ball long with the necessary quality were central to that. The Gegenpresse is designed to encourage the long ball, which is basically a turnover of possession. Rangers began the game how they should have done, you have to play on the front foot and have the courage to demand the ball against Liverpool, to make yourself an option. Rangers go 1-0 up and think they can defend that with men behind the ball, they end up turning possession over repeatedly in their own final third and getting absolutely hammered. A mixture of gutlessness and tactical ineptitude, naivete. If Rangers had played with 100% courage, the way they started it, the whole game, they could have gotten something from it, but instead they walked straight into Jurgen Klopp's trap and got totally humiliated.

They have gears. Celtic and Rangers just plough through their leagues year after year, never really knowing true competition and the extra gears needed to compete. I don't know what Celtic and Rangers think about their never-ending dominance of their league, but you have no chance of progressing in Europe if you are not being challenged week in and week out.
