A bloody obvious thing to change would- be to have a an easy squad size cap in the league for ALL clubs to abide by. Doing that then means what money the richer clubs have, can be spent on quality NOT quantity and the poorer sides can then stand a better chance because they won't have to face so many fresh players the opposition have. Livingston have 22 players, no way they can afford a 28 man squad, well not one of any quality anyway. Rangers have a 32 man squad, Celtic just downsized to 27. Hearts brought in more for European football to 28, Aberdeen at 28. St.Mirren have 23. Motherwell 24 players. The other big contentious issue is homegrown player quotas in squads, again another easy fix but no one can get it done. Sadly the Old Firm were responsible fir the 11-1 voting policy and that covers leagues rules like this. They voted against every vote on young players and home grown quotas in league squads. Then we have the ultra safe, boring and proven failure if the league structures and pyramid. the 18 team 2 tier structured was reduced to a 10 team prem to generate more money for less clubs. This was brought in nearly 50 years ago and has not helped at all. The record books around the world have shown that any major league restructure takes a few years to settle down before we see the true results. 75/76 was the first season of the 10 team Prem and the 84/85 seas in was the last time another club outside the Old Firm has won the Prem. All that and the adoption of the 3 points for a win we took on in the 90s has seen our game fall way, way down than where it should be. Sorry to rabbit on mate.

Even just look back at the last 30 years to see it.
We have 10 Preniership clubs crying every year about how they cannot compete against the Old Firm because of money, ye they happily play in a league that jas ZERO rules around squad size and homegrown players etc. So the richer clubs who can afford big squads do so and most the time do better than the poorer clubs. A bloody obvious thing to change would- be to have a an easy squad size cap in the league for ALL clubs to abide by. Doing that then means what money the richer clubs have, can be spent on quality NOT quantity and the poorer sides can then stand a better chance because they won't have to face so many fresh players the opposition have. Livingston have 22 players, no way they can afford a 28 man squad, well not one of any quality anyway. Rangers have a 32 man squad, Celtic just downsized to 27. Hearts brought in more for European football to 28, Aberdeen at 28. St.Mirren have 23. Motherwell 24 players.
The other big contentious issue is homegrown player quotas in squads, again another easy fix but no one can get it done. Sadly the Old Firm were responsible fir the 11-1 voting policy and that covers leagues rules like this. They voted against every vote on young players and home grown quotas in league squads.
Then we have the ultra safe, boring and proven failure if the league structures and pyramid. the 18 team 2 tier structured was reduced to a 10 team prem to generate more money for less clubs. This was brought in nearly 50 years ago and has not helped at all. The record books around the world have shown that any major league restructure takes a few years to settle down before we see the true results. 75/76 was the first season of the 10 team Prem and the 84/85 seas in was the last time another club outside the Old Firm has won the Prem.
All that and the adoption of the 3 points for a win we took on in the 90s has seen our game fall way, way down than where it should be.

Im a life long Liverpool supporter since the 70's, but I went up to see Rangers in the early 80's and they are incredible people, and I always found them down to earth and friendly and very proud Brits. I truly wish it had been Celtic that we had beaten. Good luck Rangers with the season ahead.

Ok, let's assume you genuinely believe this and aren't on the wind up: what do you think was lucky for Rangers, the teams they got drawn against or the results they got against those teams? Do you think it's lucky to score 4 goals away at Dortmund? Do you think it's lucky to defend as well as they did, both home and away, in almost every game of the competition? I think of all the games in their Europa League run, the only one you could actually put down to luck was the home match against Red Star Belgrade, wherein 3 goals were disallowed for Belgrade and they missed a penalty. Barring that, can you just explain for me what was lucky?
