In todays video we are here to react to the news of 5 players leaving rangers at the end of their contract whilst discussing the only player to be given a new deal as clement looks to revamp the squad and reinvest wages freed up by aging stars to get the team he wants, this is our reaction to the players that have been released this week by rangers this is our thoughts on their rangers careers and if it was the correct decisions..what about you?

As long as Tav & Goldson remain, the house is far from cleaned. No player that was here under gerrard should still be at the club. It’s time to write a new chapter.

If they are going to the Saudi league it would be good to get some decent money in for the manager to replace them, around £10-12Million.

Great news Lundstram, Jack, McLaughlin, Borna and Roofe are confirmed gone. Thank Feck. Now all we need is Tav and Goldson and the likes of Matondo and the constantly broken Ridvan out and we can rebuild and have a much better crack at things next season.

Even Sima he was injured before we got him and then a bit this season I would take him on loan and would NOT risk spending that money on him. Way too risky
@charlieemslie7708 Did the guys leaving play for the jersey or did they play for free? Did we pay wages or transfer money? I can be facetious equally or contrarian. What is the point? Just to act the big shot or have some upper hand over a fellow fan? Here is the reality, as you pointed out, we have a limited window. We are going to need to rebuild our defence and a lot of the team. Clement has to do it. There is no other choice. We obviously hope it works out. It can't be any worse, really, as we have already met absolute failure several times in the league. The only way is up from here.
Tav takes £30k per week, Goldson £37k per week, Davies £27k per week. Lundstram was £26k per week as an example. The team who have handed our backside to us, especially in defense is Celtic. They have Maeda on £16k per week he cost £1.6million, O'Riley on £14k per week he cost £1.5 million, Rabbi Matondo cost us £3 million and barely plays. Ridvan cost us £3.4 million with a rising fee of upto nearer £5 million. Goldson cost us £3 million and almost double what Kyogo gets. He has been destroyed by Kyogo several times. Tav has been destroyed by Maeda several times. We have to change or we can pretend everything is alright add a couple of players and be innthe same loser groundhog day yet again. This losing ride is one we all want off. We have to make big changes. No room for sentiment. All we can do is hope that when the season starts we are equipped and come good throughout the season. The issue isn't money. It is how we have been spending it and we should spend and offer less in wages overall.
Like it or not Celtic are frugal and they have shown us it works. We play in the Scottish league with not much available cash. We don't need mega bucks to be challengers.
Tav and Goldson next, please, and make Butland captain.

When the afore mentioned players “stock was at their highest” we needed them or 55 wouldn’t have happened and we probably would’ve struggled to replace them on our budget.
Reality is though, they should have gone after 55 value was still very high but board didnt want to upset gerrard who left anyway. That cycle was over sell and reinvest in cheaper and younger. And so on so forth. Kent and barasic going for free when they could both have gotten close to 10 million after that season is criminal.

If that happened though everyone would say how the board has no ambition & complaine they're just selling our best players. It stems back to after we win the league, the board should have backed Gerrard. Instead they decided they'd rather save money & they allowed Celtic back in. With better recruitment to since then we'd be fine now & guys that have been here since Gerrard, woyldn't be as important to the team in the last few years.@@Weeji_420

Correct decision but bit sad for Roofe and Jack, they rarely let the team down when playing, neither did McLaughlin to be fair but it is what it is.
Good point bout Balogun’s injuries but its unrealistic to bring in an entirely new group of CB if certain other players are leaving, if being key word

Lunny and BB get passmarks because they were mostly always available and never hid in the treatment table. They lacked quality, but they were better players for us than Jack, Roofe, and the keeper. The latter 3 are overrated and should have been moved on years ago. They should be donating some of their wages to charities. Absolutely criminal, how much money they took from the club.
From the players out of contract it’s only Balogun and Cortes that I would have kept….so far so good! ⚽️🔴⚪️🔵
I would rather Rangers got at least some transfer money from the departing players but the club seems to be rather dysfunctional in those regards. I give Clement six months. We had a treble in our hands but our bottle went.

Sadly the final memories of these players isn't good. At the least the club will save a fortune on medical fees and wages now that Jack and Roofe are gone. It's crazy how much cash we've wasted on these players. We've definitely built up their pension pots anyway

Well balanced and considered opinions as ever, CJ. I sincerely hope that some of the top people at the club watch this channel regularly because you really speak for the ordinary supporters. They need to understand what the club means to us and how switched on they need to be in buying and selling players. It’s not unreasonable to expect at least one player per season to be ready to step up from the Academy and that would also assist with maintaining our Scottish core. More power to your elbow!
How the club handled kent and barasic is criminal tbh. Both should have gone after 55 get some value to reinvest, but no, scared and placated gerrard and lost out on close to 20 million.

Jack never let us down when he played, sad he just couldnt play constantly, same for Roofe. Borna has been a big shitebag for the last two seasons at least ( great in the first couple years though.) Lunny just didnt have the legs we need in the middle. Mclaughlin has just felt like a wage drain, fine for a bit but maybe stopped younger goalies getting the chance. Glad of the players leaving now it time to improve.

Wright is so wrong for Rangers, another who thinks by doing the training is sufficient to keep his 'job'. A consistent underperformer, who makes it look like he is doing just enough to stay in the building. A taker, rather than a giver.

It's been a car crash of a transfer strategy in recent years. All today's departures correct decision. Memories of course will stay but time for Clement to shape the team as he sees fit (no pun intended).

We lost a lot of silly goals not having a left footed player in that position.

Why were they not sold and just kept around? Because tavernier said so. He doesn't care a jot about Rangers only himself, and thats the players he felt comfortable playing with. Tav is only leaving when HE decides or else.
As for "jacko" we aren't scouse, we are glasweigan... or at least some of us are...16 goals and 15 assists over 6 or 7 years is absolutely DREADFUL for a Rangers midfielder.
I'm a massive fan of Jack. Sad to see him go however I do think it's best for us all if he moves on and hopefully comes back at some point to help the club in one way or another because all I've ever heard about him is that he'd run through a wall for us.

29 clean sheets in 46 games is some record for McLaughlin, but conceding 29 in only 17 games shows he was in goals for some absolute tankings too, back to back 4-0's against them and Ajax spring to mind

You're spot on about not cashing in when time has come. Morelos, Ryan Kent, and to a lesser value Barasic, should have brought the club between 45 to 60 million. Poor management there.
Thanks CJ for all the videos and honest appraisal. Sad for Ryan Jack as he will always be what could have been. If fit, he would have been the first name on the team sheet and for me, the obvious choice as captain. The others had their moments and for that we thank them as we should for all that pull on that jersey.
Agree with it all, but happy Leon is staying for another season, he proved his worth this year as he did in his first spell, the boy bleeds blue and gets it, Tav, Goldson and Wright should be sold for any amounts to get them gone!
Ryan Jack was here 7 seasons and played 159 games by actual mins played (adding up all his mins and dividing by 90), considering we play an average of 55 games a season he played less than 3 full seasons worth of games for us during his time here

@@cjnovo992 John Lundstram's body language was lacking imho. He was fine in games he was up for it and for others he seemed to want to stroll through games, pass and then smoke a cigar, rather than being 'busy' all the time. We need busier midfielders.

Feel bad for Jack. Rangers man and on his day made us much better. I remember when he was nicknamed "Mr Consistent" and people were calling for him to be captain. Injury wrecked his career and he never reached the heights he could have.
Great news that lot have left but at least 10 more need to go out and the signing of cortes is unbelievable as he's been out months so as usual gers sign an injury prone player it's a shambles and they never get it right
I think this happened with Lundstram because of the balance in midfield was off and he would drop in to defence however he jogged a lot when speed was needed!
Roofe and that goal was best I have seen too!
