Should be lyrics: This should be sung using the American lyrics melody: Back in the 20th century the British Empire fought with 10 nations against Chinese shellfire. Us Aussies fought for our honor. alongside Indian brethren trapped in our fortress fifty-five days at Peking. The men of Spain and Belgium as they fought with bravery. America and Russia and the men of Italy As rifles started firing as the sound of cannons boom and we hold Peking leading boxers to their doom. As we all stood together standing tall in unity To honor our empire and put down this mutiny. As they charged into our defense it was like a living hell As our bullets sunk into them you could hear their saddened yells. Men from 11 nations building bonds as we all fight. fighting for our countries doing what we feel is right.
This would be good, but every time I see these suggestions they leave out the Chinese Christian Corp that helped fight alongside the 11 nations. However, this is a fitting song for the Australians, good job on it.
Honestly sounds like something you'd hear in one of those old Spaghetti Westerns. Given that this version of the song came out with the 1963 movie of 55 Days at Peking, and most spaghetti westerns came out around the 60s, maybe that's why it gives me such a wild west vibe.
Yes, y'all got 2 videos in basically 1 hour. After this one I'm gonna make the Russian version and then the last video of this series, the compilation with all the known versions of 55 Days at Peking
This was before 1901 and before the states United into Australia so some may went there like Queensland or Victoria and yes they did use those uniforms in the back before the slouch hat and they probably used the British flag since they were still a colony

I like the Australian one
the instruments are so good

Australians surely have great taste in music.
