I feel like Isabella having a love interest should be explored more in a series rather than the original movie. I have to admit though I'd rather see them flesh out Mariano and have him and Dolores have a healthy relationship. There would be so much opportunity to explore what traumatic family dynamics will do to a relationship.

Yeah I feel like she needs someone who would want to help her in any way they can like make sure she relaxes and doesn’t over work. Someone who can cheer her up and support her when she’s feeling sad or anxious. Maybe surprise her by cleaning her room when she’s out helping the village so that she can relax as soon as she’s home and not have to stress about responsibilities. Someone who sees how stressed and anxious she gets and helps her through it.
I feel like it would also be nice if they gave her a boyfriend who’s shorter and not as physically strong as her to show that contrast as in the real world there’s so much pressure on men being stronger and taller than their girlfriend and girls often feel embarrassed if they’re very tall or have a muscular build and might not wear heels despite wanting to just because society puts so much pressure on that and it would be nice to see them straying away from those standard to show that it’s okay if the roles are switched. Although I think she could be with anyone as long as they make her happy and treats her well and let’s her relax when she needs to.
I see Luisa with someone like Mariano, maybe The Rock-like built - physically strong built, but a gentle giant, tough looking but runs after butterflies and stops to smell a flower and kinda clumsy like Augustine and with a good heart and he'd love Mirabel and he'd be really kind to everyone in the family and he would treat Luisa as a queen and the most perfect person in the world

i really love that they scratched the "GASP! theres another man!" because the isabela we ended up getting is independent and is happy on her own, discovering the plants she can grow and more about herself. i kinda dont want to see her with a romantic partner at all

I would love to see Bruno find love. He had been left out of his families lives for years because he thought they would be better off without him; he thought his gift was hurting his family. So after finally being accepted back home with his family, he would most likely have to learn to love himself despite what people thought of him, his gift was never by choice and that wasn't his fault. So to see this awkward man find love for himself, and someone who sees him for him, would be amazing.

I think luisa having a partner like kronk, you know big but soft, would be quite fun, because everytime there is a big strong muscle girl in tv, she is paired with a small, tiny, weak boy. I agree Kronk would be a good partner for Luisa. She's done so much for town, sometimes she forgets to priotise self care.
He has a great personality, strong, since one of skills is cooking, mother has a cook healing ability, she'd approve of him.
The second skill, he was a scout in his younger years which allows him to communicate with animals and helps others. I'd imagine he'd get along well with rest to family as well. Angela would approve of him as well.
I would love to see Louisa in a relationship. People who don't fit stereotypical beauty standards aren't featured as romantic interests
As someone with similar body to her who had just recently found THE perfect man for me (like honestly, i would never ever thought i would find someone who hits every point on my "wish" list), I would love to see her with... traditional prince charming (idk how to word it better) and maybe Isabella with someone less traditional.

She's just rejecting her role as the perfect grandchild. I think we forget Isabela, while 21 years old, is still young and has the right to be a little less mature than her parents. In any case, I don't think I'd call Mirabel's clothes normal either, but they don't mean she's dressing like a clown.

I read an article that said the director and co-director would love a series. And that Lin Manuel-Miranda would really like a story on Dolores especially. I hope Disney allows them to make a series and green lights it!

In my mind, Isabela's true love would be someone like Shang from Mulan. I don't think she will completely stray away from what Abuela thinks is a good man, but instead improve upon it by finding someone that can accept a more outgoing woman who is confident in her real perfectly imperfect self.
I kinda wanna see a series of her going after men like this only to realize she needs to stop doing what Abuela wants and ends up w someone totally unexpected lol

As much as I want another movie or Disney+ series, I really hope it doesn’t get turned into another drawn out series that ruins the story and undos all the growing in the original movie (I.e; have Luisa become more masculine/reject femininity, Isabella’s growth become dependent on a man, Abuela return to her old ways).
Mirabel has always struck me as someone that would have a love interest that would truly see her worth that the family, mainly her grandmother, didn't.
And I've always thought of the most cheesiest one liner for the guy
"You know despite your familia having special powers like growing plants or being super strong or even shapeshifting. You actually have a special gift...you stole my heart."

I was thinking that a miniseries on D+ would be cool. Something like "Encanto: A New Foundation" and have it show the changing dynamics of the family and the relationships you talk about here. Seeing both Delores and Mariano grow to find genuine love together, Isabella finding herself drawn to a tiny, genuine, and adventurous guy like you mentioned. Camilo struggling with self identity because for the longest time the only way he could be of help was by NOT being himself and the crushing loneliness that brings which he hides behind jokes and pranks.
Isabella, Luisa, and Mirabel becoming the best friend sisters they couldn't be before because of the pressure they were all under.
Luisa learning to balance her love of helping others with her love of her own hobbies and interests such as fantasy stories (I mean come on, Donkey Unicorns are something for a total fantasy lover) and maybe she could find love of writing!
A scene where the donkeys get out but Luisa isn't available but Antonio excitedly offers to help use his Gift to wrangle the donkeys, and discover that trying to do it Luisa's way will never work so he goes through several methods until he sits down with the constantly escaping donkeys and communicates with them, discovering the real reason why they keep escaping allowing the Donkey Rancher to change the environment or barn or whatever the issue is so the donkeys can be happy in their home.
Stuff like that.
MAYBE look into the past! Perhaps Agustin was once Bruno's only childhood friend and through a vision and hijinks and Agustin's accident prone tendencies he and Julieta fall in love directly in part of Bruno's vision and efforts to make his best friend and his older sister happy.
Abuela learning how to reconnect with her family would be a lovely story arc, and of course we need more of the lovely dynamic of Felix and Pepa.

It would be great to see Louisa find her match, but Camilo is so darn cute, it would be cool to see him find confidence in being his true self while finding his partner.

awww, now I'm all for the idea of Luisa with a guy that is all for taking care of her purely out of love. Her having that opportunity of someone that knows she is fully capable of tackling the world but still wants to offer her that option to lean on someone else rather than shouldering everything herself.
Imagine she gets sick and is still trying to do things and he’s just having none of it and just calming tucking her back into bed and assuring her he loves her for who she is not what she can do for him

I want to see Bruno reintroduced to the town. Mirabelle helps the town understand how to interpret his visions and explains that they are not all bad. Then, he finds someone who understands him, who continues mirabelle's influence to help his gift evolve. Of course, mirabelle will help him be more confident when pursuing his love interest.
Or, we time skip to Dolores and Mariano's wedding. During preparations for the event, Luisa is doing her thing and moving the church, again, to a sunnier spot for the event. While she is doing her job, she can't help but notice someone leaving notes and gestures to make her tasks easier. She tells her sisters that she has a secret admirer and needs help identifying him. Let the hijinks commence. 😆 lol
Antonio would also be good at helping his uncle Bruno. Antonio has no prior experience with Bruno, and can most easily take him as he is and accept him that way. Sometimes, having someone close just accept you can be the best first balm for a wounded psyche.
though, it would be 100% cliche, but if Isabella the "perfect" child fell in love with a dorky, nerd that tried and failed horribly to impress the family, but she found that to be sweet, charming and funny, i think it would be fun to watch that story.

Honestly, this was an interesting examination. As far as the continuing story of the Madrigals goes, I would want to see how the relationships within the family change and see family member interactions that we didn’t see in the film. For example, Bruno’s relationship with his two oldest nieces or Isabela’s relationship with Augustin and Julieta. I would also want to see how Abuela Alma’s relationships with each of her grandchildren change- especially Mirabel, Isabela, and Luisa. And, of course, more scenes with the Triplets interacting would be quite fun to see
If we are going for a series, then explore Camilo more and his relationship with others in the Encanto. He was a bit out of focus in this movie, so he has a lot of room to develop. What we do know is that he is fun-loving, funny, compassionate, and cares deeply about his family. He also apparently like to act and imitate others.
Yeah and I would love to see Bruno re connecting with his family after all those years and finally be able to be there for his nieces and nephews. Like Antonio didn’t even know Bruno for the first five years of his life and I would love to see them getting to know each other and I thing Bruno would be such a great uncle to him.

But for a girl that “knows what her worth is”, I think she needs someone that could help share her burdens. Take things off her hands and make her relax because she’d still have the habit of working so hard. Someone that also works too hard and is kind like her.
That may mean someone that is insanely muscular, but not as strong as her because well no magic. I like the thought of a man, maybe a traveler, that sees her and her strength and is smitten. Louisa likes his strength too but they fall in love because they can both ‘lift each other up’ metaphorically and physically.
There’s a few ways such a relationship could go. Like rival/competitive(?) flirting with actual sweet flirting.
Edit: Someone that is sort of like buff dad Massimo from Luca but more happy and smiley! A street smart? Kronk…?

Personally I would love to see Luisa get with a strong hunky guy who got got caught up with her impressive strength and the kindness she shows to her community and actively tries to help her to get to know her while also trying impressive her as well. But as they grow closer he learns how much being relied on burdens her and stresses her out so he does as much as physically possible to release her from some of the labor. I would also love it if he was a romantic man who could literally sweep her off her feet and make her feel so feminine and Danity without down playing her strength too, I think she deserves to be seen as womanly as any other woman in her family even with her more masculine physique
Maybe if there's a sequel, maybe they will give Isabella a actual love interest.

The next Madrigal I'd like to see finding love is definetly Bruno. He's lived in the shadows for so long and before that he was execrated by everyone in the village and seen as nothing but a bringer of disgrace, the "prophet of the apocalypse" vibes pushed people away. But now that things have changed inside and outside the Madrigal house, maybe the people in the village would get to see Bruno for the kind and caring guy he really is and no longer as that bogeyman/bad omen they always thought him to be. And then he would find a nice lady who sees his true worth and loves him so. After all he's been through, Bruno Madrigal deserves all the love in the world and seeing him find love, get married and maybe even start a family like his sisters did would definetly warm my heart ❤
Maybe the dead fish woman is his soulmate. 😂😂
honestly I like Bruno as the asexual sibling, maybe just cause I'm on the ace spectrum I think so I find character who arent in relationships nor want to be more relatable and like them more, but also I think it would make sense since aubela wouldve wanted him to so that the family can have more children and would give her further reason to villainize him. just my opinion tho

I really hope Encanto gets a series that explores all the relationships between the characters- romantic, platonic, and familial. I'd also like to see the characters also live everyday life after the movie and adjusting to such a drastic chance in familial hierarchy (Abuela is a lot less strict, Bruno's back, Mirabel is now being given opportunity to help out her family and the townsfolk, and Luisa and Isabela won't have to handle so much pressure to help the family). I'd love to see Camilo and Luisa pursue romance and to see Dolores and Mariano develop a romantic relationship (the "let's get married" interaction is cute, but it's a mere crumb to the possibilities in the future). I also think it'd be cute to see Abuela work to mend the bonds between everyone and just having wholesome moments with her children and grandchildren. As a whole, Encanto is an ocean of opportunities and possibilities; Disney would be crazy to not explore them more.

As much as I love the concept, I feel like Isabella wouldn't fall in love so soon. She's just discovered herself and all she's ever done is be who others wanted to be and this is her time to be herself for herself. I would love to see the strong but sensitive Luisa find someone that compliments her strength like how Augustin is accident prone and is with Julieta who heals. Even then, just because its disney, doesn't mean they all need to find love 😌
I personally want to see Mirabel,Bruno, Louisa and Maybe even Alma find love, despite Alma being as bad as she was I think if she fell in love with someone else it would give her a chance to move on from her grief and even maybe reflect on her mistakes she's made and finally be happy.

I'm scared if they pair Luisa with someone it's going to be similar to the kind of scrawny nerd they originally made for Isabela, and there'd be constantly jokes about how she wears the pants or whatever. I don't think they'd stoop that low, but it's a trope i see so often. I'd prefer to see her with a traditional disney prince who actually complements her
Other folks have mentioned having a Kronk-like character and I think that kinda works. She thinks she has to carry the world on his shoulders and he just wants to help. So if for some reason she's knocked out he can and will step in with a smile on a face. Sure he ain't as strong (because magic) but he's still about as strong as a mundane man can be.
I think it was a good idea to not give her a love interest, she's not interested in Mariano because she simply isn't, you don't have to have a love interest to justify that, plus it's nice to see more typical Disney "princess" not having one, it normalizes it
I'm wondering if Isabela is demiromantic and she didn't really feel that way about Mariano because she didn't really know him well at all. That reasoning doesn't necessarily need to define her orientation to be fair, but both options seem plausible to me.
It would be really interesting if Isabella falls in love with an outsider. The deleted scene is sorta cute and funny to me XD

I personally think that in the moment she would be a happy single, but in the future she would start craving love. And eventually meet someone.

Imagine a scene where Luisa is being awkward on a date while this one person just instantly falls in love with who she is.
I would love to see Bruno make a connection with someone either romantic or platonic. I feel so bad that he wasn't able to find someone (if he isn't ace or under the umbrella) just because everyone made him into the villan .
Also having Bruno having a love interest. Find out there was a woman in the village crushed when she found out that Bruno was gone. That she understood the nature of his power and never saw him as a cause of trouble.
I wanna see both Luisa and Bruno find love, I believe those two are the ones who deserve it the most. (Plus I'm imaging in my head what kind of person Bruno's love interest would be like.)
I kind of like the idea of Isabela falling in love with a less-than-perfect guy like Bobo, who despite his flaws respects, admires and loves Isabela as she truly is. Maybe they could write a similar but also different love interest for her in a sequel or sequel series. Maybe someone who shares her interests like a geeky botanist and/or a sensitive, shy artist. Someone who can relate to her and share similar passions with her.
Of course if she does remain single in other movies or a series I'm honestly okay with that. I am curious though about them exploring the love lives of other members of the family. My thoughts:
1. I could see Camilo trying all sorts of different personas to impress a crush, only for them to encourage him to just be himself, which for him is confronting and scary, but worth it as he learns to relax and be comfortable with himself without using his shape-shifting abilities.
2. Luisa I definitely have a number of headcanons about a love-interest for her. I could she her carrying the love interest in a threshold style.
Mirabel I actually don't have a clue about what kind of person she'd be attracted to, but if she *does* have one I reckon they'd ought to be very patient and understanding of her. Still, I'd okay Mirabel stayed single, if it's what she wants.
Personally the character I'd love to have a love interest the most is Bruno. He's been in lonely isolation for so long, plus he's felt so much rejection due to his spooky gift, which probably didn't help him in matters of dating. Personally I'd love to see him not only settle back into society but also make up for years he's lost and consider starting a family of his own. Being that he's 50 and has an awkward and shy personality, I imagine dating would be an awkward and uncomfortable subject for him (think of Gru from the "Despicable Me" franchise), though I hope he'll be lucky to find a kind and empathetic partner who can love him warts and all and can also help him to become more comfortable with himself and his confusing powers. I think that would be really beautiful and satisfying for him. 🥰😊
Another thought I considered for him though could even be him potentially adopting a child, whether him adopting his romantic partner's children, or as a single parent. I personally think he'll make a wonderful dad. 😊
Either way, I would love to see more of the Madrigal family in the future. I certainly am curious to if they do write love stories for any of the single members of the family.
I would love to have an Encanto 2 where it’s the 3rd generation of Madrigals and get to meet the 2nd generations husband and wives and see what the new magical gifts are but also have little backstory scenes of how they fell in love with their partners kinda like “dos oruguitas” BUT YESSS I 100% AGREE THAT LUISA SHOULD BE NEXT
Luisa definitely deserves some love. somebody emotionally sensitive and will embrace her for who she is. also i would love to see Isabela x Bubo next movie!
If they made a sequel, I’d like to see them explore a new generation of family members, perhaps the children of Dolores or Luisa, seeing what powers they have and what a new family of gifts would look like, maybe with the grandmother passed away and Mirabelle taking over that position, it could be interesting to see what it would look like having new responsibilities placed upon the family members, but I definitely think Luisa should get less pressure taken off and settle down with someone who can help lift her load or at least help her carry it, I think you would be a really interesting story arc to see her falling in love with someone who helps take the pressure off.
I think Isabela’s true love could be explored in an Encanto sequel (if one happens) and that her true love could be her polar opposite.
Take Mirabell’s parents or Felix and Pepa, (who I think marriage was arranged) Felix was her soul mate and can calm her, whereas Isabela’s and Luisa’s soulmates could encourage their gifts more.

I would love to see Bruno.
He has been alone for so long that he would have to take it slow and probably be awkward, but I could see it being in a cute way.
Maybe there is a woman in town who is a vet, and he takes one of his mice to see her when they get a bad cold. Maybe they go on a date, and its awkward and goes awry, but is cute and ends well.
I could see him so scared to have a vision because he is scared to see his own future with her if it doesnt turn out. He considers ghosting her, and going back into hiding, but his sisters (and the rest) convince him not to.
Eventually he has a vision of him holding a baby boy, and he realizes that he wants to be able to connect with others again, and is excited to be a father someday. He admits he wont stop being alone if he doesnt stop running when worried about his future.
So he decided to take the risk, and they keep dating. :)
For me I would love to see these characters trying to get a date. In this order.
Bruno, Camilo, Luisa
Bruno is an awkward 50 year old guy who has been stuck in the walls for ten years so I can see poor sweet baby boi needing help with interacting with someone he wants to go on a date with. Maybe the his nephews and nieces try to give him a bunch of advice which can go either really good or end up terribly. Maybe even his sisters or mother would try to help there baby triplet brother as they have experience with the process. Good family bonding experience.
And you already said what I was kinda thinking for Camilo and Luisa.
Honestly I can already see this being a catalyst for a bunch of fans of the movie putting their own headcanons in I've seen a lot considering them to be a part of the LGBT community. I wont delve I just enjoy the movie
For the LBGT community, Camilo coming out as bi or pansexual would be a perfect fit. He can be pretty much anyone of either gender.

Encanto the series needs to happen, it would be great to see more character development and family drama from the Madrigals. Camilo somewhat reminds me of Leo Valdez from the Heroes of Olympus Series because their both funny and witty; Camilo trying to impress girls and comedically failing at it would hilarious to see. Louisa is someone who should definitely get a love interest if Disney does an Encanto series. Mirabel, Bruno, Isabella, and Louisa would benefit from a storyline about their relationship with Alma because she has a whole lot of apologies to make.
I imagine Encanto the series as a family sitcom like Modern Family.
I agree that out of everyone, giving Luisa a love interest would be the best move. Isabella's appeal (at least to me) is that she just doesn't want to learn and discover someone else yet cause she's still learning and discovering HERSELF, and i think she wants to focus on that first. I also don't think Mirabel should get a LI cause of similar reasons and her whole arc is about being accepted by her family so they should explore that more first.
I think Luisa finding love would be wonderful. Someone emotionally sensitive to her needs and who respects her strength without forcing her to always be strong. Someone who sees who she is and finds that that is more than good enough.
If they ever make a series, maybe they could explore the world beyond the mountains
Btw I’m not homophobic (I’m bisexual) but not every character is lgbtq everyone is fighting and saying “Luisa and Isabella is lesbian” or “mirabel is non binary” that just changes the whole plot of the movie but it’s conformed Camilo is genderfluid

I prefer Isabela's current status! The love interest who "sees the character for who they are" is overdone in my opinion or at least is not to my taste. I'd never judge someone for liking it though but I find it boring. Sometimes it's nice to have a family centred story without a romance subplot.

I would absolutely LOVE to see Camilo on his awkward teenage journey to find romance abs by the end of the 2nd movie he finally finds a partner. Also while Luisa is on the side finally relaxing and finding a love interest. While isabela and mirabel are still exploring themselves.
I’d love to see Camilo gain a crush on a nerdy girl who is able to tell its him no matter what form he shifts into and is very stoic in the face of his goofy antics. It would be hilarious to see him try to impress her only for her to stare at him for a moment then walk off
Awww, I would love to see that. The fact that she knows it is him will be something new for him since all he was ever seen as is someone only useful as another. By her seeing who he truly is even when he doesn’t know himself and loves him like that anyways would be so heartwarming. It's fun reading Isabella and Camillo through a queer lens. That said, I'm scared who they'd design for Luisa. They fought so hard to let her be big and strong and refused to design her like "a man with a bow". I'm scared they'd partner her with a man, and design him in such a way as to "swap gender roles" for the relationship. (i.e. design him tiny, overly emotional, and fragile) I'm tired of that being the only option I've seen for women in media who don't fit traditional gender expectations.

I was told recently that there was a story planned for Camilo where he'd be dealing with an identity crisis because he believed people didn't like him if he wasn't being someone else. That would be a really good foundation for a love story because we could see him fall for somebody that would rather see the true Camilo than see him in one of his many masks. I'd love for somebody to tell him they like HIS face or HIS eyes or something that's unique to HIM, and he just be a little dumbfounded because he's probably only ever gotten compliments about how accurate his transformations are.
I would love to see Mirabelle fall in love with somebody who cares about family deeply as much as much as she does in her love interest should make her feel feel strong and the mentally and the physical way and I think that her character development is still not finished I think I want to see her story play play out in the most fantastic phenomenal way and I would love to see the grandmother fall in love with someone else and I would love to see the family bringing out some changes into their house for the better and I will look to see of this and I would love to see Encanto series

It would be nice to see Bruno get a girlfriend or wife to have someone to build a future with. Its sad that he got mistreated for his gift and stigma of bringing misfortune. He’s a very great guy and should be able to have someone see him for who he is.

TV series. I want a TV series. I don’t want a sequel, cuz the kind of big drama a feature film would require would necessitate the uprooting of some character arcs, and besides, the biggest thing this movie’s got going for it is the characters! There’s so many, and they’re so interesting, and I would LOVE to see Disney explore those characters in an episodic form with fun lessons about sharing and whatever. Episodes focused on each individual character! Wouldn’t that be perfect??

I think it would be cool is Luisa was with an artist or sculpture. Like someone who admires how she glows and makes art of her. Like glass statutes or colourful paintings, she would be the ultimate muse. Someone who can sit and show her all the small sweet things together.
I could also see her with someone who has a physical disability like a missing arm or someone who is blind, someone she thinks she should take care of but they show her that taking your time and finding a different way is just as “worth wild” plus her admiring them for their everyday strength would just be wonderful ( and them both thinking that their SO is strongest person they know, is *chef kiss*
I also noticed a cool detail in Encanto
When Isabela and Mariano were dating, he was wearing a blue shirt which is Isabela's family's color. After the broke up though,(after the proposal) he seems to be wearing a white version of the blouse he was wearing. So like, would his blouse turn to yellow now that he's dating Dolores?

I really like the idea of all 4 of them somehow getting a partner in a series of some sort 😄 it would be amazing to explore what possibilities are out there! One thing that I would appreciate the most is that their significant other would have to help correspond with their powers, cause for example in the OG movie Pepa is with Felix because he helps her calm down and is supportive of her emotions when the weather changes, so just say if Isabella were to have a love interest, then it should be someone who helps her see & love herself for who she really is and not for her reputation!
I would also love a Disney short of showing more in depth the relationship of the grandmother and grandfather

Maybe a childhood friend that had a crush on her but after getting her gift, he never had time to hang out with her since Luisa's days were busy helping everyone in the village. And then while rebuilding the Madrigal house, he started reconnecting with her.

After watching Encanto numerous times, listening to the songs over and over and watching various videos about Encanto, I ended up having a dream about that felt like an Encanto 2 plot where there was a second village like Encanto with a family like the Madrigals and Luisa became romantic with a guy who had super speed who was like the Luisa of his family.
I would love to see Mirabel be in a relationship. I would say she’s the most beautiful of the Madrigal girls. But I don’t don’t see Isabela with anyone because she is the stereotype of a princess dreaming of a prince who will carry her off her feet and be with him, and I really liked that she actually didn’t end up with anyone.
I think Bruno finding his perfect match would be an interesting story line. Perhaps with someone who puts no weight on prophecies, who prefers for life to unfold without knowing what's going to happen.
I definitely agree with this. He needs a partner who enjoys living in the moment and prefers to let things happen rather than worry about the future. They could help Bruno to relax and enjoy the present life rather than worrying about the interpretation of his prophecies.

YEEEESSSSSS ON LUISA GETTING SOMEONE. I'm a sucker for big buff woman and a smaller guy dynamic. Combine that with Luisa's genuinely innocent and cute nature, then it'd be *chef's kiss* truly AWESOME.
It would be fun to see Camilo try and fail with multiple girls, but since so many girls crush on him and he is so young, they should probably keep a girl out of his life. It would be totally cool if he became best friends with a girl, though, and you know there's feelings of attraction bubbling on the inside, but neither of them realize it, and Camilo is just going along with all her crazy ideas because he loves spending time with her. I can imagine a cute scene where the girl gets a crazy idea for something they should do for fun or to help others, and he just says, "Bye, gotta go!" As fast as he can to Maribel as the girl pulls him away.
Louisa DOES need a romantic partner! You're right, we need girls who don't match the physical stereotypes to find love.
It might be nice if we see Isabella secretly meeting with a dorky guy and falling in love without her family knowing.

She doesn't have one and that is just fine. I think we can move past everyone having a romantic relationship. It is OK to be single. (Luisa too) Plus Bruno's prophecy was not her falling in love. it was the 'life of her dreams' and that her power would grow. I want to see them all become comfortable with themselves. And NOT have to put any effort into a relationship. As relationships are just as difficult as family. They already focused so much on the Family that it broke them. A relationship is still putting focus on someone who is not you. I want to see them find balance.

I feel like we really need a Disney+ series focus on the Madrigal Family, not whit a complex story, more like a Slices of Life, kinda like "Doug Days", watching how they slowly find thenselves now that they are all free of Abuela's pressure; I mean, this "Magical Realistic" world and such a real and heartwarmming family dinamic should be explored more, and a sequel movie just won't be enought.
I think this would have been an interesting change if they used it for Luisa instead of Isabella. Like maybe Luisa has a crush on this guy and always makes time to help him out just so she has a reason to see him even if she's always SOOO busy. He's the only one we hear appreciate her. The rest of the story still goes the same, just when she loses her power, Luisa feels like the family is going to disown her if they find out since she feels like her only worth is defined by her power. Instead of telling Mirabel to find Bruno, maybe she instead mentions how Bruno was told to foresee something and just disappeared. What if he lost his gift too? We know later he didn't but Mirabel is driven by this fear she's going to lose her sister the same way which deepens her fear when she sees Luisa struggling during We Don't Talk About Bruno because she doesn't want Luisa to be the next "Bruno" where after she's gone people start blaming her for things going wrong because they relied on her too much and it's her fault for not being there. Or even if the story took more than a few days we hear villagers in the background being confused about stuff not being done. So at first Mirabel thinks the prophecy will be about Luisa and her having some tie to the cracks since she's losing her magic but then gets the shock that it's about her. Which gets explained when she meets Bruno because he's just fine, just decided to go away after the vision he had the day of Mirabel's ceremony. Mirabel knows the new vision wants her to go make up with Isabella but she doesn't want to at first and wonders how she can get a hug when Isa isn't even speaking to her right now. But then she sees Luisa packing up because the ruined engagement party was the last straw and even though Mirabel tells her the same thing Bruno did (without saying she met him, just using his words) which is how the mountains make it pretty difficult to run away, Luisa is sure if anyone can manage it, she could. It would just be better for everyone if she did, y'know? Mirabel is angry but determined as she goes into Isa's room to fix this and Luisa either didn't make it out of the house before the confrontation or when Isa's powers explode and we see the variety of plants just encompassing the village, we see a shot of Luisa with a loaded donkey and the guy she likes on her way out of town but the explosion of plants draws her fear back to the house. She can't see what Isa and Mirabel are doing, just knows that Isa is probably the source and looks at her BF to gesture he wait with the donkey as she runs back home because powers or no powers, she thinks Isa is in danger. Or worse, as she's been conditioned to fight any threats she may need to save everyone FROM Isabella. (Not that any of this had to be explained, just have that moment of her her making the decision to run back with a look of determination and leave it for us to interpret who she's saving. Her family either way.) And not only do Mirabel and Isa hug at the end of the song, but Luisa came back and is hold her hand when Abuela gets there both of which is helping to heal because the three sisters are there for each other and their love comes first. But then everything falls apart when Abuela and Mirabel get into it and things go on the same except during the rebuilding we might have some clip or a line of Luisa and her guy together (maybe her jumping in the hammock and he's serving her which is sweet after all she's done for him.)
And I dunno I'm rambling now. 😁

I would love to see Luisa with a small and scrawny guy who loves Luisa and is always trying to help her lift things that are WAAY too heavy for him, but Luisa helps him by picking him up with the object and giving him a sweet kiss, because she knows how helpful he really is.
I honestly think her nerd boyfriend from the concept would be a better soul mate for Luica, someone funny and carrying and nerdy for her. For Isabela I could really see her finding a nice girlfriend, someone who likes her for more than just her beauty, perhaps someone creative and with an abstract art style.
This made me imagine a character similar to Xiangling from Genshin Impact, a cheerful, hyperactive, and reckless character who sees the potential for delicious meals in all kinds of odd ingredients/places and gets herself into trouble a lot because the places she finds her rare and strange ingredients are usually very dangerous. The artist character I'm imagining would be a lot like that except they find beauty in very odd things, but seeing these things through the lens of their paintings makes their vision make more sense. Isabela falling in love with a person like that would be great because the two of them would probably see the beauty in the unconventional yet still lovely things they create.

I'd love to see Mirabel take over after Abuela's death, maybe in a moment of conflict or peril that would give her a chance to grow. If there is a setting where there is danger from the outside, Camilo's and Dolores's gifts could also be put to further use...
Honestly I think this is why if Encanto is extended it needs to be as a series so that we get to spend more time with each of these characters and we're not limited to the runtime of a movie.
I agree with Louisa being the next member of the family to have someone interested in them. Would be a very interesting direction for Disney to go in giving her a normal love interest for that culture but with someone who's okay and being the supportive partner to a physically dominant woman.
I think Isabella growing and evolving and eventually falling in love with someone who was never thought of as perfect would be good but I don't necessarily think you have to look outside the village or break the wall around Encanto for that to happen.
They could just choose one of the villager characters we have already seen and then introduce their age-appropriate brother or son who is a complete nerdy bumbling walking enigma.
At first Isabella would be dismissive and annoyed by him but he would eventually grow on her and they would grow together because whatever his hobby is has to do with plants and expands even more what she wants to do. There's a lot of indigenous knowledge about plants that could be imparted from this love interest who had hung out with his own grandmother or mother, who was a little child when the villagers had to run away originally.
That would let us learn about another family within the village and Isabella gets to explore something more than being in Casita treated like a princess.
Maybe in the process of attending her cousin's wedding to her ex this is when Isabella realizes she does love this other young man. So they start officially dating.
Bruno is now also free from being inside the walls of the original House so maybe there is a spinster type woman of appropriate age for him to fall in love with.
Maybe when Princess Isabella announces with she wants to date this other young man and get to know him, is the first time Bruno even spots this other woman more his own age. That's at least 4 seasons of content right there.
A good way for the series to end is with Mirabelle starting to date her own match. Bruno finally getting married at the beginning of the final season and his mother passing away in the very last episode.
Cuz the whole point is for the family to live on. And that means living beyond Abuela...
I think Bruno deserves to find a partner next.
