I use a 7 string with a digitech drop pedal which lets you tune down 3 and a half steps. Tone still has integrity. Able to tune to low f in standard tuning 25.5 inch scale length

@@EinMeister Only a number of the tracks were fully mixed by Mick, and that's because he couldn't deliver the other mixes on time. Id tried to give him as much time as they could, but delaying the soundtrack anymore would have gotten them into some legal trouble. They should have had Mick start mixing the tracks at an earlier date.

I love all the Doom Eternal love. The game is amazing. Made my top 3 games of all time. The soundtrack is my favorite soundtrack of all time. So metal. Surprisingly, though one of my favorite tracks is actually "voices of urdak", which isn't one of the metal songs. It's such a perfect contrast of what Urdak was in the game.... beautiful, but dark, and full of chaos. Mick Gordon is absolutely brilliant. Great cover!

I played one at my local Guitar Center and it had the Seymour Duncans on it, the AHB-1s.
The sustain and the sound that came out of that guitar were unbeatable. Nothing even came close in that whole store.

Super Gore Nest was the mission they showed off at Quakecon 2019 when they did that gameplay demo before the game was delayed
And you can still hear Mick’s 264 BPM mock-up track in the video of that demo.

I still don't understand why Gordon needed an 8-string guitar for the Doom OST, since he only uses like three strings at best here. Imo, a 6-string baritone suits better for that task. And even then you still can safely cut three strings or so.
