Dr Janine Bowring says she takes D3 in the morning with some MCT oil (because D3 only is fat soluble) and Magnesium. (D3 depletes magnesium)
In the evening she takes K2 because calcium absorption happens during night sleep.
A commenter said that it makes sense to separate the intake because they otherwise compete for absorption.
When buying K2 make sure it’s the form K2 -MK7.

What a coincidence, those four supplements are on my essential list as well, plus NAC & creatine. The rest I can get from foods: probiotics from Kefir, zinc from pumpkin seeds, boron from raisins, magnesium from Mg Oil external rub on, NO2 from dark chocolate, beets and watermelon; extra protein from egg white powder & gelatin, and then several herbs to boost testosterone - Fenugreek seed powder, Ashwagandha, ginseng, etc.

be careful with dark chocolate - how much do you consume? It is high in heavy metals, typically far too high in cadmium and lead, due to contaminated soil which the cacao plant takes up, and due to processing plants. Zinc and selenium can help to ameliorate the heavy metals but far better to not consume them at all. Or not in excess, which is too easy to do with even small amounts daily or semi-daily intake. Even organic brands "Pascha", "Alter-eco", "Green and Black" and "Theo" have tested from 189% to 254% of the so called safe daily maximum of cadmium and 140% of lead (in a smaller amount than some people would eat in one sitting). But even if you only ate 7 tiny Pascha dark chocolate chips you would have consumed 254% of the "safe" amount of cadmium of the batch tested recently. Hershey, Godiva, and Lindt or *no better* , I'm just making the point that even the brands some of us turn to for purity and to get away from additives and bad business practices are not safe when it comes to this. Navitas has a rigorous independent testing protocol, but they still warn that cadmium runs high in the cacao powder and the chocolate nibs run high in lead. But theirs is at lower levels than some brands.

dont do supplements they can hurt your stomach and get side effects, do a myers cocktail iv once a month get a vitamin d injection you can up to 100,000-300,000 iu injections that can last up to three months in your body.add in gludathione iv like twice a month coq10 injection once a week. those will heal almost all health issues fast massive improvements in a week no side effects.they just wont heal a broken knee in a week ha. the only oral supplment you have to do is fish oil. nutrition ivs and injections are how rich people and pro athletes stay healthy year round, you cant get enough nutrition from food alone. toxic farming over the past 30 years has depleted nutrition in the soils.

You ought to advise people to have their D3 level checked. Until 2 weeks ago I had been taking 4000iu of D3 with K2 for 12 months. My D3 level is now in excess of 250nmol/litre. I am advised by my MD to stop the supplementation as I have hypervitaminosis D and am close to toxicity. As its fat soluble I cannot excrete the excess and it will take many months to drop I'm told.

The same happened to my aunt. She took only 20 micrograms a day for some years, and was then asked to stop because of high D3 levels. Her MD said it could hurt the kidneys to go on. I have no idea whether her MD is right or not, but I think checking the levels is wise.

Are you outside a lot or do you eat a lot of seafood? That's a pretty low dose for your levels to get that high in such a short time. Most people reccomend upwards of 10,000iu for a therapeutic dose, if one does not get much sun. People claim it takes years before reaching toxic levels,so "not to worry." But that is concerning.

I'll re introduce egg yolks in a few weeks, then slowly the fish, and maybe use some sunscreen for a while.

If you eat right, you shouldn't really need any vitamins, then again thanks to agriculture related processes and products changing, soil and plants we eat no longer provide the must-have trace amounts of iodine either which requires most people to take as a supplement. Especially in America, almost all of the old school healthier and better procedures have been replaced with more profitable and practical methods and products that is good for the companies and bad for the people. Now, the normal ways and forms of obtaining the good stuff is gone, people have to spend extra money to remedy their vitamin and mineral deficiency thru less healthier and ideal methods aka supplements. Ashwaganda Root is a nightshade. I should start by saying I have an autoimmune disease and was taking it for years to help support extreme adrenal fatigue and not getting ANY relief but kept taking at the suggestion of my acupuncturist. I threw all on my ashwaganda root powder and supplements away once I started following Dr Gundry and feel amazing now just by changing the foods I eat.

I've decided to limit my eating to an 8-hour window daily as per your suggestion. Other information I've seen regarding fasting has mentioned acceptable drinks during the fast period, and I'm wondering if it's okay to drink water, tea, and maybe other liquids during the fasting time without messing up the benefits of the fast. If so, which liquids are acceptable? Thanks in advance for your answer.

Water, herbal tea or black tea, black coffee, mineral water, sparkling water. Basically nothing with any calories but also no artificial sweeteners except stevia. Apparently apple cider vinegar in water is ok, one tsp in a glass of water.

Thank you for all the great information you provide via your podcasts doctor.
I’ve always been a fan of supplements as I know my diet is deficient in some areas.
A lot of your guidance I was already following before I found your podcasts, and I am in the process of incorporating the additional tips into my life.
I thought I’d share some personal info by way of giving back. I’m 60 now and been sick twice, when I was young, once with the flu and once with glandular fever. My mother also never got sick. When I was young I used get tonsillitis all the time; the doctor wanted to take them out but my mother refused as she believed they were there to ‘catch bugs’.
Apart from everything else there is one other supplement I take that I learnt about to help with autoimmune issues, it is a combination of sterols and sterolins.
    Thanks again.

In your longevity book you say to take an 81mg enteric coated aspirin 2 or 3 times a week so that the acid will help the fish oil do it’s thing..( can’t remember the science) But, you also say to avoid NSAIDs, and this small dose of aspirin is a NSAID. Yes am taking my. Vitamin d3 mk7 magnesium. But none if those is because my doctor. Told me to take it am taking it because few years ago a fantastic holistic doctor in Vermont told me to do so. But since I have NAC bottles in my drawer.and they contain silica. Now having information about such ingredient SILICA I wanted to know if you my favorite doctor to hear all the time think about this ingredient Silica. NAC is a capsule am been taking but once I heard about bad ingredient SILICA am afraid to take this NAC perhaps just buy another brand that eill not contain such ingredient SILICA. Right now my brand is BLUE BONNET AND THE BRAND LIFE EXTENSION BOTH ARE 600mg thanks sop much perhaps now my question is more clear. Have a blessed day

I believe with vitamin D you want to take some vitamin K2. The K2 will direct the calcium that the vitamin D helps absorb to the correct places.
If you don't get enough K2 it can lead to calcium buildup in arteries.

I took an Omega 3 DHA supplement for a few days and within 3 days i got noticeable aches and pains in my joints, etc. to the point i had to STOP taking the supplements! so i will just eat fish 3x a week methinks. but when i started taking coconut oil, within 24 hrs i heard a distinct internal cranial hiss and suddenly my brain matter felt FULL ie the brain matter filled out (expanded) right to the skull! so i must have previously had some shrinkage for some reason; but i didnt have any symptoms of shrinkage. very interesting.

As you can see no one gets a direct response from Dr, Gundry himself, everyone gets a vague answer, from someone else. There is a lot of copy and paste that is used, for repeated responses, and answers. Just look at all responses given one by one to people and you will see what I mean. this channel just wants to keep people believing that you have a direct and personal communicative relationship with Dr. Gundry, hes got more important things to do than to answer every one personally.

Since I take Eliquis, my heart doctor told me Omega 3 is also a blood thinner and therefore don't take it....I'm 77 in good shape, walk 3miles a day, I'm taking blood thinner in case of stroke, and I have 'afib' , use a Cpap. It seems like i have to always watch the vitamins I take because of my Eliquis. I have taken your Gut capsules which work well and ordered MCT Wellness...

@@alexshatner3907 Thank You Alex, but I realize this is not a personal reply but a helpful one. I realize the safest way to reply for him would be to say to check with your doctor, first, which is common.

@@Pelerincha That's already a given, my point is that 98% of people asking health questions think, Dr Gundry is responding, and that is not going to happen, the "Check with your doctor thing is also a copy and paste" I see it repeatedly many times with the same sentence.

@@alexshatner3907 So?? Whether it is copy of pasted, I don't care...Realize, it is the best you're going to receive, knowing the line where to stop from getting sued for giving info. Very simple.
