This is the most ingenious tactic I have come across after watching alot of pvp. The Crystal demon axe for the double pancake is sublime. Im going to have to try it. You've inspired me
Lol, actually i was struggling at some points for even the simplest BKGA parries. That match with the double parry had the right parry windows because they were from the United States, but for the majority of the other matches i kept getting paired up with people from foreign countries like Italy, Australia, and Germany. This threw off the parry windows a good bit, but i think i might start checking their location as i'm connecting to the match. If it's another country, i'll parry much earlier.
I feel like this video is a therapeutic treatment. When you suffer from chronic insanity due to excessive douchebags in dark souls, your local physician/psychologist will prescribed that you watch this twice a day until the symptoms of hatred for humanity subside.
I know the layout of the forest for the most part. There are times when i lose track of where i am, so i'll unlock and spin the camera to try to figure it out.
i love how you are using they're moment of arrogance against them, never underrestimate you're opponent even if he has 1 health left o.o said no one who fought you ever!
this is the greatest ganker revenge video and build i have ever seen. what made me a believer and a sub'er in you is the fact there are points in this vid and others where you are getting ganked and they start to bs fish and you ALWAYS end up where you could backstab them instead for like a 2 second count yet you dont and STILL kill them. keep up the good work. you just got one more sub ;)
This must be the first video of mine you have ever watched, lol. The large majority of my videos have music. I left music out of this one because there are a lot of subscribers who can't watch most of my videos due to copyright issues with the music i use.
Parry windows are generally the same, but they can be thrown off depending on the other player's connection/location. You're always going to have to zone-in on parry windows based on the player as well as the weapon itself. Plus, i don't edit out anything just to make myself look better.
once a upon a time two people tried to gank me the first one fell and the other fled ran like a bitch and hid like a wussy and then i heard his breathing in a vase and. kicked. his. ass.
I still don't understand gankers. How is a two vs one even remotely challenging? even if they are bad at playing, they compensate with maxed gears: hornet ring and crystal magic spam. Unless the invader is really, REALLY good at playing, the fight would only last a few seconds ( at least I do last only a few seconds, and I win most of 1 vs 1, I consider myself an average player). So, how is that enjoying? To win like this is like crushing ants...I guess I'll never know.
cesverc Couldn't they just be using the ally to clear the area and explore? I mean, the phantoms are there to help with the game either way... Or does it just make them a ganker when they intentionally take allies into PvP?
SwerveStarEx If they intentionally bring an ally into Pvp, they are gankers. And by ''intentionally'', I mean: they summon a phantom and then they both wait for invaders. If they only want to do Pve ( progress through the level and defeat the boss) then they are not gankers: even if they go 2 vs 1 against the invaders it's ok, because it's a random invasion. But it's really naive to even think that a person would summon a phantom in the forest to defeat the boss: the forest it's a hot pvp areas, almost 99 % of white and yelllow phantoms will be there to pvp ( and gank). After all, invasions in the forest are level based: so if I'm level 125, I will be invading a host above level 100, who wouldn't need any help by phantoms to defeat Sif ( unless it's NG+++ or something like that)
cesverc Right, that makes sense. Thank you for the explanations. I'd like to point out that even though I have Dark Souls, I haven't played that far into it since my computer runs it too slowly. I know about most of the game because I have a friend who loves it to death, and because of research I've done online. Because of this I don't really know the meta of each individual area. It makes sense that the forest would be a hot PvP area, though, seeing that people from the forest covenant are allowed to freely invade and such. Again, thanks for the explanations.
SwerveStarEx you're welcome! The way I see it is just the way most of the community sees it. there are also some people who thinks there should be no rules and who love to gank and things like that.
SwerveStarEx They don't "freely invade" it has level restrictions but it's wider than a standard red orb invasion. The level range is: your level -10% of your level -10 and up. So if you're level 125 you can invade everyone who is 103 and up.
Why have I never thought of your non-lock-on R2 attack strategy, it's such a brilliant ruse. As ever your video is immensely satisfying to watch, keep fighting the good fight!
I once invaded the world of a Ciaran cosplayer with the ring of fog and she/he had a Artorias cosplayer summon When I (obviously) got rekt, I didn't know if to feel enraged or man, was that cool
I invaded some guy with two summons that were very similar to your story. I invaded an Ornstein cosplayer who had Artorias and ciaran with him. Which is kinda funny cuz I was cosplaying smough Me: " I'm sorry my friend but I must kill you and your friends" Ornstein: "TRAITOR"
Awesome build! and nice video! Also, that's a nice strategy with the DGA (the part where you face away and turn around suddenly). That really is an excellent strategy for dealing with those who are rushing you (like 99% of gankers do).
probably one of the most impressive dark souls pvp videos ive seen. the forest is FULL of gankers. its nice to see people putting them to shame (: great vid!
This is easily one of my favorite Dark Souls videos ever. I love the Demon Greataxe, and seeing it put to such good use makes my heart swell with joy. My success rate in these things is very low, but I think it's because my build is kind of one-dimensional. I should make a good non-focused build at some point. Host at 6:35 tried to blessing. Got him in time. NICE. 10:05 - 500 damage headshot. NICE.
My bad dude, i'll put a link at the end of the next video. For those who would enjoy a Dark Souls voice chat, go to KnightLautrec's TH-cam and check out his video "What Is 'Raid Call' Dark Souls Voice Chat".
Haha, well my timing was correct, it's just due to the times i was playing, i was connecting with people from other countries, throwing off the normal parry timings.
Best pvp video EVER :D Peeve, i just want to thank you for the 20 minutes of greatest anti-gank gameplay i have ever seen. And from the depths of my heart, tell you, you are my favorite DaS player ever!
Because of this video, you are now my fav dark souls player. Ive only beaten a 3v1 gank twice and a 2v1 a couple times but you do it here consistently and skillfully. I will also be trying a red tearstone/PW combo in my new build inspired by your skill. So Thank you. I hate Gankers...
Peeve, you always seem to encounter the worst type of people in multiplayer but you handle it so well. Being fairly new to the multiplayer experience, the way you play is pretty inspirational and watching you and other Dark Souls youtubers has set a precedent for the kind of experience we all hope to engage in: a system of honorable, dignified encounters. Keep gank spanking, show the idiots of the world how true DkS master does it.
Exactly. I always bow everywhere I invade, except for the forest, because honor is next to nonexistent in that situation. Honestly I'm wondering if I'll ever see the time you invaded my world lol. Now I'm looking forward to making a whack-a-gank build.
HUNTER COVENANT FOREVER !!, wow im still only Hunter +2 ,looks like i better get back to some invading ,man sure would be awesome having someone like you watching my back when looking around for lil gankers,( i get ganked even when target 400 levels higher than me :)
@ Leo Ornstein, You actually can summon two phantoms in the forest but you have to be a forest hunter to do so. Im not sure if you can still get invaded by red dark spirits though.
Love it. I usually host 1v1 in the forest. Decided to play the other side a bit... dodging 2 sets of homing soul mass and 2 souls spears at the same time is a bit rough. .. _ Gankers will be tankers though. Some people are just in it for the win no matter how its done. Great video cept at 6:30ish you were doing the ganking :P
at 3:32 , that was so DIRTY and GOOD! I'm guessing you pushed up on the left stick at the last second to turn around and hit him? Damn Peeve, you always bring up some new tactic we've never see, and make it look godly :D
If you'd like to see me 100% out of my comfort zone, watch my video "Random Souls - Weapon Master". It actually got pretty fun to use, but it's definitely a crazy matchup of random weapons.
Yes, Dark Souls Prepare to Die edition for the PC already has said nerfs alongside the new content. When the new content is available for download to consoles a patch will be released with the changes.
Dear Peeve: I must thank you, I learned almost everything I know about Dark Souls PvP from watching your videos, I use to be terrible at PvP, but from watching your videos, i have learned how to adapt to peoples build, parry, and a code a honor, to not chain back stab, back stab fish, and to not use the Hornets Ring. Thank you once again.
@paatwo The host healed the summon when he was about to die. I consider that worse than ganking. I can't stand when hosts act like they're letting you fight 1 on 1, and then when the summon is on the verge of death they start chugging estus. If they're going to be scumbags then i'd prefer they both charge me head on.
That first round finish with the leaping smash on both of them... That is one of the most satisfying things I've seen on another person's recorded play! Honestly, I yelled "BURN" in a Kelso voice when you landed on them. This is beautiful.
As merf1212 said, friendly phantoms get healed when the host drinks estus. Also, you get an additional estus when someone in a nearby world kindles a bonfire.
"They're invaders, not duelists." That is a great comment. That's essentially how I go about my invasions as a Blade of Darkmoon. I will allow people to kill enemies that might go aggro, I'll not go for back stabs, and I won't heal. If the other person heals, runs (turns their back), goes fishing, or summons phantoms, I'll pull everything out in an effort to kill the hapless bastard. I leave dueling to the 'Duel Stone' (Red Soapstone).
Glad to see there's still good hunting after my break from DkS. My SL 85 Shiva has been slaughtering gankers (still getting wrecked by Dark sorceries and well executed ambushes, but meh) and slowly racking up indictments. Already a Forest Hunter+3, and I owe it to watching Peeve and others.
Lol thanks. I'm actually very against one hit kill setups, but in this case i figured given the circumstances it's justified. Using it against gankers, and only being one hit kill when i'm really low HP makes it risk vs reward. I understand where you're coming from though so it's cool. No skill in pressing one button to win.
Your completely fine. A ganker is someone who summons a phantom (it could or could not be a friend) and sits there waiting for dark phantoms so that they could kill them by attacking at the same time.
There is no shame losing to a ganker. But there sure as hell is shame losing while ganking.
for some reason I find it hilarious when he switches from an uchigatana to a fucking demon greataxe
That first kill, beautifull
This is the most ingenious tactic I have come across after watching alot of pvp. The Crystal demon axe for the double pancake is sublime. Im going to have to try it. You've inspired me
18:27 "sorry sir but this is a... *smashes and puts on sunglasses* no fishing zone" *queue "YEAAAHHHHHHHH!"*
Nine months... Nine months this went without a like.
Utterly criminal.
I guess we have found the first born of Gwyn, it is Peeve. The first kill was absurd!
O my lord that double parry
Lol, actually i was struggling at some points for even the simplest BKGA parries. Has anyone noticed that Strength builds are doing better than ever with the removal of poise in DS3? You'd think it would be the opposite, huh?
probably because strength builds have their own poise with most strength weapons having hyper armor
Finally someone who gets it!

10/10 story.
I come back to this video often. It does my heart good to see you flatten people with that petrified tyrannosaur hip-bone.
I still don't understand gankers. How is a two vs one even remotely challenging? even if they are bad at playing, they compensate with maxed gears: hornet ring and crystal magic spam. +Giacomo Meluzzi ornstien killed Daniel months ago that's why he's not here anymore.
The backwards slam down attack is hilarious and you have an amazing parry response timing
..This is the most unlaggy dark souls run I've ever seen.
That double kill at the beginning was SO DAMN BEAUTIFUL. I'd pay to see the faces of those two!
Awesome build! and nice video! Also, that's a nice strategy with the DGA (the part where you face away and turn around suddenly). That really is an excellent strategy for dealing with those who are rushing you (like 99% of gankers do).
Very nice display of skill and tactics, I wish more people where as fortunate as you when being ganked. True skill indeed.
Dude that backwards Crush you do LOL. Shits hilarious. You weren't kidding about the crushing part.
probably one of the most impressive dark souls pvp videos ive seen. the forest is FULL of gankers. its nice to see people putting them to shame (: great vid!
That Crystal Demon Greataxe is so damn awesome in the hand of a player who knows how to wield it, love the videoes man.
Hornet ring, as far as me and my livestream could figure, has been nerfed to 30%.
Just go to my stream, hit Follow at the top left, and check your email...if i'm streaming, it'll tell you.
It's people like you that makes me join the Darkwraiths on every playthrough.
This is easily one of my favorite Dark Souls videos ever. I love the Demon Greataxe, and seeing it put to such good use makes my heart swell with joy. 10:05 - 500 damage headshot. NICE.
your expertise with the demon's great axe is astounding
This'd explain the build I saw you using out the forest. Hope to see you again out there!
Great video Peeve! And I would agree that you were struggling to parry the BKGA haha. I practiced that a lot because it's such a popular weapon.
That R2 baiting technique is just sooo good! Hilarious stuff Peeve!
Peeve is such a technical player. I love watching all of the methods he employs to fake out opponents.
Shurg into parry true combo
2012-13 Peeve be in my recommended. Noice.
Best pvp video EVER :D
Peeve, i just want to thank you for the 20 minutes of greatest anti-gank gameplay i have ever seen. And from the depths of my heart, tell you, you are my favorite DaS player ever!
That surprise smash with the axe never gets old. :D

You sir, brought back my hope in humanity just a tiny bit.
1:58
Okay, when you parry two people simultaneously, you are automatically one of the most badass fighters alive. Period.
Sometimes I like to play this video in the background, because just hearing the sound of gankers being destroyed makes whatever I'm doing better.
Those finishing blows never get old, man.
Love those Red Tearstone finishes. They're great.
Could you not see it on mobile?
Crystal upgrades still scale with your stats, they just have even more physical damage.
Beat my first 3v1 today! They all had full havels and a family mask, with BKGA. Thanks for the parry the world vid, otherwise I would have lost so bad
Exactly. I always bow everywhere I invade, except for the forest, because honor is next to nonexistent in that situation. Honestly I'm wondering if I'll ever see the time you invaded my world lol. Now I'm looking forward to making a whack-a-gank build.
ok ill be honest the great axe slam turn around has left me amazed and now I wanna try that *_*
The fact that your wins in this are not from you just fishing for backstabs makes it all the more enjoyable.
HUNTER COVENANT FOREVER !!, wow im still only Hunter +2 ,looks like i better get back to some invading ,man sure would be awesome having someone like you watching my back when looking around for lil gankers,( i get ganked even when target 400 levels higher than me :)
"Elemental big sword" pretty much sums up your knowledge and respect of Dark Souls.
Definitely, i'm going to race to the PvP arena haha.
Watching these makes me sad that I missed this games most active times.
You are a fantastic player.Love that double parry and the arrow to the head..so lovelly to watch..no to mention they defeat..lol
Subbed, watching you flatten people with the demon greataxe is hilarious =)
Seeing that axe drop on helpless gankers gets me every time.
Gankers : The shotguns and light machine guns of Dark Souls
This is my favorite PvP video for so many reasons
You are an amazing pvp fighter. I love how you swich target and consume your victims.
@ Leo Ornstein, You actually can summon two phantoms in the forest but you have to be a forest hunter to do so. Im not sure if you can still get invaded by red dark spirits though.
Love it. I usually host 1v1 in the forest. Decided to play the other side a bit... dodging 2 sets of homing soul mass and 2 souls spears at the same time is a bit rough. .. _

Wow, lol this video made me think of what build I wanna do next, awesome video btw.
dude peeve you are awesome, i have been trying to figure out a way to use that axe. forest here I come!
That's the new nerfed DWGR stats, it has been 50% equip load forever, but it is now 25%.
If you'd like to see me 100% out of my comfort zone, watch my video "Random Souls - Weapon Master". It actually got pretty fun to use, but it's definitely a crazy matchup of random weapons.
Man that kill at 6:39 while he tried to DB was amazing
Yes, Dark Souls Prepare to Die edition for the PC already has said nerfs alongside the new content. When the new content is available for download to consoles a patch will be released with the changes.
Amazing skill and execution .Bravo.
You invaded me while you were filming this and nearly killed me with that Demon Great-Axe.
Dear Peeve:
I must thank you, I learned almost everything I know about Dark Souls PvP from watching your videos, I use to be terrible at PvP, but from watching your videos, i have learned how to adapt to peoples build, parry, and a code a honor, to not chain back stab, back stab fish, and to not use the Hornets Ring. 1:11 No joke after i saw that i think i had to pick up my friggin eyes off the floor. that was friggin awesome.
@paatwo The host healed the summon when he was about to die. I consider that worse than ganking. I can't stand when hosts act like they're letting you fight 1 on 1, and then when the summon is on the verge of death they start chugging estus. Just looked a little late to me. But who am I kidding. Keep on rockin, man
I'm amazed by how you never healed through everything. You're god at this.
After being gank about a billion times, this is actually very amusing to watch :)
That first round finish with the leaping smash on both of them... That is one of the most satisfying things I've seen on another person's recorded play! Honestly, I yelled "BURN" in a Kelso voice when you landed on them. This is beautiful.
I love this video, this is redemption for all of us who fall prey to gankers of any kind!
Can't believe this video is 4 years old.... damn. CAN'T WAIT FOR DARK SOULS 3!!!
Haha! The end of the first round put a huge smile on my face. :D
Dat first invasion. WOAH nice shot
Thank you fellow warrior, May the flames guide thee.
Beautiful timing at 7:30...congrats to you sir.
whaaa dudeee you handle these guys so well man. Well, I usually get 3v1'd in the forest so winning on gankers always seems hard
Lol thanks. I'm actually very against one hit kill setups, but in this case i figured given the circumstances it's justified. Using it against gankers, and only being one hit kill when i'm really low HP makes it risk vs reward. I understand where you're coming from though so it's cool. No skill in pressing one button to win.
2:21 Peeve: You just activated my trap card *troll face*
*pulls axe* *kills the invaded* dead.
I was about to compliment Peeve on his comeback victories, then I realized that Peeve was winning all of these matches from the start.
Your completely fine. A ganker is someone who summons a phantom (it could or could not be a friend) and sits there waiting for dark phantoms so that they could kill them by attacking at the same time.
that double parry and back to back parrys where really nice, ill kill to be able to parry as well as you
theres a random frame to another fight at 1:48 for half a second
