Now it's available to all
The Brompton 2020 luggage range is now available - with the first three bags out being:

Really helpful. The game changer is the handle as this bag will fit on S handlebars. I currently use a C bag but on an S frame to make it fit. thanks for your films as always...

I have got a T bag and I like it for being reasonable roomy and able to change the top to new colors.

I appreciate that you made this video, it made it an easy decision to purchase this Borough L bag. It's a really well made bag and works fine with my S type handlebars.
While the old T bag is a fine bag, I like the gray colors on this bag and the spacious front zip pocket with loops. Plenty of options for putting small items! I also purchased a smaller "Roll Top Bag" which is good for carrying fewer items. You don't always want to use the largest bag.
Interesting to see such minor differences to the exclusive explore bag. Also, no backing track - (no) music to my ears!

It's very minor difference generally between the two bags
We are trying to get the sound better - so we don't have to down out background imperfections with msic
Too bad about the back pockets, I‘d really have liked the magnetic fastener. Anyway, I ordered one (from you of course) and can’t wait to try it. Had a C-bag (with a sawed-off handle) so far but was eyeing the T-bag. The improvements in the borough bag finally gave me an excuse to get one for my S-type Brompton. 😉

It is a pity about the rear pockets - the only thing we can think of is price - but one fitting of a more expensive part can’t be a lot more than four fittings of the poppers?

Some improvements on this Borough, but too bad that they didn't put the bright green colour inside like in the T Bag and I also preferred the back pockets on the T Bag. Hard to decide between the 2. If I already had a T Bag I definetely wouldnt upgrade to the Borough (don't think it's worth it).

We also liked the bright interior of the T bag - which is similar on the new Metro Waterproof bag - bright orange
The zip broke on my t bag rear pocket - that could be Bromptons reason for a change of rear pocket style
@@brilliantbikes Five years ago I paid fifty quid for a T bag copy made by a Turkish tailor. It was advertised online for a while. Nothing has broken and I use it all the time. I also bought his rear carrier bag which is great too. Neither seems compromised by their lack of Brompton branding!
I’m a great Brompton advocate but the bags seemed overpriced: I can see the money in the bikes themselves but not in the bags.

The large borough roll top bag is the go to bag for every staff member at my local Brompton shop.
We agree we find them very useful!
I got mine in 2021. It is 2024 and is my go too bag for all of my riding unless I know that my reverse commute will have me getting on public transportation.

The Explore bag was only available with the Explore special edition bike
The Borough roll top bag is almost the same - but doesn’t have our favourite part - the Fidlock magnetic fixing on the back pockets
The biggest benefit we see is the ‘handle less’ frame - meaning it can be used on all handlebar types including S-type
I understand the T bag had larger capacity and you could use the hard handle to wheel the bike? Sounds maybe T bag more useful. Is it still obtainable?
Can this bag work with the flat handle-bar configuration or just a U-shaped handlebar?

The roll top bag (and all the new Brompton Borough bags) will work with all handlebar types - including the flat / straight / S-type bars
nice one...Had a giggle when you put your head in the bag , my c bag and rack sack have a yellow liner for easy viewing inside.. it does help. How about a review of the rack sack as I feel its use is undervalued?

One question - you have a rack which the rack sack sits on - don't you miss the ability to semi fold to the parked position?
@@brilliantbikes you can undo the rear buckle, release the loop from suspension block and pivot it round on the upper Velcro strap to sit on top of the main frame...... but yeah, your spot on, I do.... It replaces the lash down dangerous twangy bungee work I used to do badly on shop runs so is worth it

Yes - it will fit on the P-type - you may need to make sure that you don't load it too high (this applies to all bar types)

With a M handlebar how will it behave when fully filled, as it goes higher than the handlebar itself?

Even when fully loaded (unless the top is unrolled), it shouldn't interfere with the handlebars - but you should make sure it's not loaded that far - so make sure your bars can turn properly

The bags Bottom is Not stable enough, when packed IT Covers the Frontlight. Thats a big issue for me

Since can't buy the T-bag anymore, bought this Borough Roll Top bag from Brompton directly, people are selling those on eBay and Amazon with more expensive price, which I found very stupid.

In the US we'd say "pullover". Any garment you pull over your head to wear it, like a sweater.

I must admit I don't like the way brompton have started to refuse the frame only so that you can't buy or make your own bags.
The roll top bag should be waterproof, not water resistant!
